Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 256: Archie And Lazarus
A standing knight took his sword when he saw Archie getting up from his seat.
"Where do you want to go, Prince?" asked the knight looking at the prince’s sword.
"Just bathing in a nearby river. I’m disgusted by all this sweat."
"I’ll take care of you."
Archie raised one eyebrow.
"Do I look like someone who needs care? This man will come with me." Archie pointed to the informant beside him.
The knight looked doubtful, but he let Archie ride into the forest alone. He looked around the valley once more. He didn’t know why his heart was beating so fast now.
The valley was located between two fairly shady forests. So that no matter how hard his eyes tried to look inside, he found nothing but pitch black.
The moon was not visible due to thick clouds. He sat back down, holding his sword. His eyes looked at all the soldiers who were happy about their success.
They succeeded in repelling the forces of Admiral Lazarus, who were known to be reliable in battles on the sea. They benefited from the fact that their dock was quite crowded with ships, making it difficult for Lazarus’ large ship to turn around.
With just a few cannon fires, everyone fell into the sea. It was only after a few hours of surveillance, and making sure the entire wharf was empty and not a single Northerner remained did Prince Archie declare their victory.
As a knight, it felt like this victory was too bland and easy.
In the forest, Archie tied his horse’s leash near a tree.
"I’ll be standing guard around here until you’re done before continuing to the next post."
Archie pulled his sword out of its sheath.
"Thank you for the hard work. Nieverdell will remember your service," said Archie making the man smile proudly.
"It’s a pleasure to witness Nieverdell’s triumph, once and for eternity. Those Northerners are too arrogant."
Archie stared at the back of the man in front of him who was on guard. His sword was ready for him to use. His friendly smile disappeared into a blank expression.
With one swing, Archie stabbed his sword right in the man’s heart from behind. He quickly covered the informant’s mouth so as not to make a sound.
It only took a few seconds for the man’s hand to go limp at his side. Archie drew back his sword. He took a stone and threw it across the river. A man in a black robe suddenly appeared and stripped the informant of his clothes.
Archie didn’t care what the mysterious man was doing because he was busy cleaning his sword in the river. Even when the man had changed into the informant’s clothes, Archie was enjoying his time washing his face.
Suddenly...
SPLASH!
"Fuck!" shouted Archie, who was surprised because he was splashed with water. It happened so suddenly that he didn’t have time to dodge. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢
He glared at Lazarus, who smiled mischievously. The man suddenly showed up behind him. Soon, Archie saw the body of the informant that Lazarus threw into the river. The body drifted far away, and Archie could only look at it without any intention of helping or burying it.
"I can have fun now, right?" asked Lazarus after smoothing the informant’s coat around his neck.
"Whatever," Archie replied curtly, noticing the reflection of his face above the water.
The atmosphere around the bonfire did not subside. They were more lively by singing the victory song while dancing.
"Ha ha ha ha! They were praising the Northern soldiers too much. Did you see the fear in their eyes earlier?"
"They are cowards!"
"Even I was attacked by three people head-on, and I was able to defeat them in one slash!"
Everyone started telling exaggerations, showing off each other’s strength by killing many northerners. There was only one person who had not been able to enjoy the excitement that night. His feet moved restlessly, and he continued to look towards the forest where Archie had gone.
Archie did say that he was going to take a bath which meant the man needed a long time. He squinted his eyes when he saw someone in a red Nieverdell coat riding fast towards him.
"Isn’t that the informant from earlier?" he muttered.
His eyes opened wide to see the man swinging his sword.
"It’s a counter attack!!!" His shout made everyone turn towards the knight.
In just a few seconds, the valley was surrounded. Soldiers showed up from both directions of the forest at once. Nieverdell’s soldiers, who were still shocked, and scattered, hit each other looking for the respective swords they had left behind.
The man on the horse pointed the tip of his sword in front of the screaming man. They were surrounded, and no one could move.
Lazarus took off his hood and smiled kindly at the group of soldiers.
"La-Lazarus!"
"Hohoho, I have risen from the sea to avenge my ship," said Lazarus trying to scare the Nieverdell soldiers in front of him.
The knight drew his sword and tried to slash Lazarus’ sword away from his neck, but it was all too late. In just seconds, their festive feast became a blood feast. Lazarus and the Northern soldiers didn’t even care if they stepped on the corpses of the Nieverdell soldiers with their horses.
The massacre happened so quickly, and Lazarus didn’t give them a second to counterattack.
Lazarus inspected all the valuables looted by the Southerners. Everything was still the same as they had brought from the North. He then ordered his soldiers to change clothes so that they could look like Nieverdell troops to enter the capital. From the direction of the forest, Archie had cleaned up his body and followed Lazarus.
"Whoa, you’re fast," the man praised, making Lazarus burst out laughing.
"This is Admiral Lazarus, one of the four pillars of Northendell. Don’t underestimate me."
Archie just shook his head and then led the Northerndell group with Nieverdell uniform towards the capital.
