Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 250: Interrogating The Maids

"Any clues?" asked Alexis, who had been waiting for Arielle at the door for a long time.

Arielle glanced at her brother briefly then shook her head wearily. Arielle walked wherever her feet took her. Everyone she passed said the same thing. Arielle’s steps suddenly stopped in front of her father’s door. Arielle turned quickly, not wanting to waste her time asking her father.

Alexis suddenly grabbed both of her shoulders to stop her from leaving.

"You wait here. Let me ask," said the man, who then knocked on his father’s door.

Arielle waited nervously. Her legs moved restlessly, and she really, really wanted to meet Sasha right now. She couldn’t shake off her worry and guilt. If Sasha hadn’t parted with her, this certainly wouldn’t have happened. If she did not leave the palace alone, she could go to their meeting together without having to part ways.

Arielle shook her head to clear the bad thoughts she had just imagined. She had to make sure that Sasha was okay. Maybe the boy got lost in this palace. However, that was highly unlikely to happen.

Nieverdell Palace was not as large as Northendell Palace. There should have been one or two people who saw him by accident.

Just as Arielle was contemplating the possibility that Sasha was kidnapped, or escaped from the palace, the door to her father’s study opened, revealing King Hugo followed by Alexis. King Hugo paused briefly to look at his daughter. King Hugo’s face was expressionless and turned towards Alexis.

"I want to rest. Do not disturb me again."

"Okay, Father. Thanks again for listening."

King Hugo walked through the deeply bowed Arielle. Without seeing his daughter, King Hugo left.

Now Alexis was standing in front of Arielle. "He saw Sasha being chased by a servant."

The girl’s expression instantly became bright. Finally! Information about the whereabouts of Sasha. But why did Sasha get chased by a servant? What was the boy doing?

"What’s the maid’s name?"

"Father doesn’t know, it’s just that I was permitted to inspect all the maids in the palace." Alexis left, leaving Arielle who was still standing on the spot, confused.

"Are you going to check on them or not? Don’t waste time like this."

"Y-yes, Brother! I-I’m coming!"

Alexis then ordered his assistant to gather all the palace maids in the hallway near the palace hall. A bodyguard got him a wooden chair and let Arielle stand by his side nervously.

One by one, a row of servants came from all directions. Alexis invited Arielle to ask. The girl was confused because Arielle seemed to have asked them all.

"Sorry to bother you guys at nights like this. Um... Have any of you seen Sasha or passed by Sasha since this afternoon?"

Alexis rolled his eyes in annoyance that Arielle was so polite talking to the maids. But he had no intention of fixing it. Arielle saw all the maids there and they just shook their heads.

"They didn’t see her, Archie," said Arielle, making Alexis look at the girl sharply.

Out of the many maids of a palace, there must have been one or two who saw Sasha. Alexis raised his index finger.

"One. If no one confesses, I will hurt all of you here. I’m going to have Archie pull out your teeth one by one until someone confesses."

"Brother, don’t be like that," said Arielle, trying to restrain Alexis from overdoing it.

Alexis raised his middle finger to form a number two. "Two. I got information from King Hugo that he saw Sasha being chased by a maid carrying an apron that was stained with red. I can start the search one by one."

Olin’s body instantly stiffened. Her hands began to shake in fear. She almost confessed, but Princess Andrea’s voice held her back.

"What’s this commotion?" Andrea asked, seeing the halls filled with maids. Her eyes narrowed sharply when she saw Arielle who was standing next to Alexis, who was sitting comfortably in his wooden chair.

"You don’t have to ask too many questions. It’s none of your business," said Alexis, who looked back at the maids in front of him one by one.

"What do you mean? Don’t you know that the maids are under the care of the Queen? You don’t deserve to call them like this without the Queen’s permission."

"I’ve got permission from the king."

"Huh!? Since when can you do everything you want, Alexis? You want to trouble everyone for a dirty maid belonging to an illegitimate child like Arielle."

"I’m not an illegitimate child!" Arielle shouted from her place.

She was really fed up with her sisters. She didn’t want to get involved in their fight. Arielle was worrying about Sasha right now!

Andrea put her hand on her hips, watching Arielle sharply. Alexis rubbed his forehead in annoyance.

"Andrea, can you get out of the way?"

The woman did not listen to her brother’s request. She continued to walk while looking at Arielle who also now dared to raise her face towards her. Alexis immediately stood in front of Andrea, making the woman smile.

"You will regret it, Alexis. You’ve gone too far to humiliate your own biological sister like this," whispered Andrea who then turned to the servants.

"Everyone dismiss! No one has the right to control you but Queen Rosalie!"

Immediately they dispersed. Olin ran fast with a pounding heart.

Andrea now turned to Arielle.

"I will destroy you, Arielle. Even Alexis’ protection is only momentary. Don’t feel confident because Brother Alexis is on your side right now."

"Andrea," threatened Alexis, making Andrea laugh out loud.

"Protect you? Bullshit... in the end, you’re still going to marry Duke Pellington. You are only used by Alexis."

"I will not marry Duke Pellington!" said Arielle angrily.

"What???"

Arielle and Alexis looked back and saw Duke Pellington, Queen Rosalie, and the rest of their family exit the hall. Arielle lowered her head slowly and then ran away from them all.

She didn’t care what they would do to her later. The most important thing right now was to find Sasha first.
