Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 210: Alexis Is Defending Arielle
Annalise wiped away the tears that never seemed to end. The bite mark that Arielle gave Andrea was deep enough that there were a few bloody blisters on Andrea’s palm.
Just a moment ago, the palace was shocked by Andrea, who was crying loudly, running while holding her arm in pain. It was a rare sight because Andrea was a mature princess who always put on a firm and determined face.
So when they saw Andrea cry, everyone wondered... what made the ice princess cry out loud?
Queen Rosalie, who was enjoying her afternoon tea with Annalise, her second daughter, was surprised by her eldest daughter’s face, which was wet with tears.
Andrea had told her all about Arielle biting her arm. Queen Rosalie was very angry and wanted to approach Arielle, but Andrea held her back. She required fast treatment.
"I already beat her until she bled. At least she has to learn to accept the consequences of hurting a Princess," Andrea said between her tears.
Even so, Queen Rosalie’s anger could not be quelled as her daughter’s beautiful arm had been ruined by a dirty, insolent rat bite. She would punish Arielle later, and no one would be able to save the girl.
Andrea’s room door opened. Alexis came with bated breath. He pushed forward to see his sister, who was injured.
"I heard you were hurt, Andrea. What happened?" asked a worried Alexis.
Andrea didn’t answer because if Alexis knew that Arielle bit her and she beat the girl until she bled, then Alexis would defend Arielle more.
"You don’t need to know," Andrea said curtly.
"Andrea, I am your brother. I’m worried about you. Tell me who made you like this, and then I will punish them."
Queen Rosalie, who was still angry, explained what had happened to Alexis. Andrea looked at her mother, annoyed.
"That bitch’s daughter did it! Arielle was the one who injured your sister, Alexis!"
"Arielle?" asked Alexis, a little disbelieving that Arielle had hurt Andrea.
So far, what he knew was that Arielle never retaliated, even if she was bullied by her other siblings or received their harsh treatment. Alexis was always watching from afar. He let them as long as they didn’t hurt each other. But now Arielle dared to retaliate?
Alexis had no idea. Was it because Arielle received bad influences from the northerners that she became more daring to fight?
"But at least Andrea beat her until she bled. And mother will punish her again later."
"Who? Who’s bleeding?" asked Alexis sharply.
"Arielle! Andrea managed to teach the girl a lesson by hitting her head so hard it bled," replied Queen Rosalie.
Alexis then distanced himself from Andrea, who was more silent. He looked at his sister with an annoyed look.
"You hit Arielle?" he asked sharply.
"She bit me first!" Andrea snapped at him.
"Are you stupid?" asked Alexis making Annelise, Queen Rosalie, and the three doctors who were working on Andrea’s arm gasp.
Queen Rosalie ordered the three doctors out. She would rebuke her very disrespectful son. As the door closed, Queen Rosalie slapped Alexis hard.
Queen Rosalie’s hard slap left Alexis speechless. Likewise, Andrea, who was now holding her hurting hand.
"What are you saying, Alexis? Why are you defending that illegitimate child?" asked Queen Rosalie angrily.
Alexis threw Annalise’s hand, his second sister when she wanted to help treat Alexis’s face.
"I just can’t believe someone like you could act stupid like that, Andrea. We agreed not to touch Arielle as Duke Pellington asked."
"But she bit me, Alexis!!" shouted Andrea, who was getting frustrated by her brother’s strange attitude.
What was wrong? Why was Alexis defending Arielle? Since knowing that King Ronan proposed to Arielle to become his wife, Alexis became angrier and angrier.
The man had always said that Arielle was going to marry Duke Pellington and Andrea wanted the same thing. Their goal was one, but Alexis seemed to disagree with Andrea’s attitude.
Queen Rosalie staggered down onto the sofa. She massaged her forehead, not understanding what made her children fight like this. Annelise then wiped a drop of sweat that appeared on her mother’s forehead.
"Mother, let us rest. Let Andrea and Alexis talk first."
Talk? With this kind of emotion? Queen Rosalie was worried that the sibling bond between her two children was starting to fade. And all this was because of Arielle. The illegitimate child managed to make the relationship between Alexis and Andrea torn apart.
"There’s no need to talk anymore," said Alexis, who then left the room.
Andrea took a deep breath and then lay down on the bed. When Queen Rosalie wanted to approach, Andrea pushed her away.
"I want to be alone."
Annelise then led her mother to leave the room. It wasn’t long before there was a knock on the door, and Andrea had no intention of letting the person in front of the door enter.
She still felt hurt by Alexis’ attitude. From the beginning, Alexis had never joined her to intimidate Arielle. Alexis had also defended Arielle in the past when she mocked the girl as a descendant of a witch.
She did not know what was in her brother’s heart and mind. When their other siblings joined her in bullying Arielle, Alexis just silently watched.
Andrea thought Alexis liked Arielle, and the thought disgusted her. How could her brother take a liking to an illegitimate child? Then why, if he liked Arielle, did he allow Arielle to marry Duke Pellington?
Andrea knew about Alexis and Duke Pellington’s plans. If Arielle married Duke Pellington, Queen Rosalie would acknowledge Arielle as her daughter so that they would have another noble family to stand behind Alexis as Alexis’ advocate for his rise to kingship.
Even though it was clear that among all her brothers, only Alexis was worthy, the man had so many insecurities. Andrea sighed once again thinking about it all. Alexis was the crown prince and he would ascend the throne after their father stepped down. He shouldn’t have felt insecure about his position.
