Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 205: Arrielle Arrives In Nieverdell
Arielle continued to read until she felt that light was coming through the gap in the carriage. The girl blew out the candle and pulled the curtain on the window by her side. The light of the morning sun shining into the carriage made Tania and Sasha squint their eyes.
"Wow, it feels like a long time not to see the sun," said the girl making Sasha blink his eyes.
He, who was not used to seeing this much light, covered his face with his arm.
"Princess? What light is this? Too dazzling!"
Tania woke up and peeked out the window.
"Is it morning already?" she asked.
Arielle grabbed Sahsa’s hand. The child had also accustomed his eyes to receiving the bright light.
"Welcome to Nieverdell. This is the sunlight you want to see."
After making sure his eyes could receive the bright light, Sasha opened his window and looked at the scenery outside.
"Wow... what is this???" asked the boy with a look of admiration and confusion.
In front of him stretched fields and rice fields that were so wide. To the east, he saw a row of green mountains where there was a yellow circle that gave off a very bright light.
"Is that the sun?’ Sasha asked, pointing towards the light source.
"Right, that is the sun. But don’t look at it for too long, it will make your eyes hurt."
Sasha looked up to see the blue sky that Arielle said earlier. His mouth opened wide as a flock of birds passed him up there.
"Birds!" His exclamation was full of admiration.
Arielle was really amused by the admiration Sasha showed. She didn’t expect that someone would be so impressed by things like this. Arielle also looked at the expanse of fields that was drenched in direct sunlight, unlike the northerners who had to hire priests to warm their fields.
Arielle was wondering, was there any chance the North would get a chance of sunshine like this? She herself did not know for sure what happened in the northern lands. But based on the stories told by the performers that they brought during the festival, they said that the North was once a fertile place with green grass. But it had been hundreds of years, so people now thought it was just a myth.
"Sasha, have you ever heard of the curse of the North?"
Sasha, who was still admiring the scene in front of him, backed away and sat back down, facing Arielle. "I only know the story we saw together at the festival that night, Your Highness."
"Oh, I see?"
Sasha nodded and went back to enjoying the warmth of the sun shining on his face.
***
The three-day trip was finally over. Arielle’s heart was pounding as the carriage entered the capital. From her window, she could see the towering palace of Nieverdel. Arielle asked Sasha to close the windows and carriage curtains as they walked through the streets of the capital.
"Why, Princess? I’m not done looking around," asked Sasha, who was asked to sit back in his seat by Tania and Arielle.
"Sorry, Sasha. We’re going through the crowd. This is a carriage belonging to one of my brothers. I don’t want people to see me in a prince’s carriage."
Sasha frowned. He glanced at Tania, who just smiled.
"But you’re also a princess. I don’t think borrowing between siblings is a big deal."
Arielle couldn’t answer Sasha’s question just now. The child did not know her condition. She was indeed a royal princess, but she did not have much power in the south. She was more like a servant or an ordinary person.
"Uh... Sasha, I have some conditions that are hard to explain. Even though I’m a royal princess, I am usually not treated like royalty. So I hope you’re not too disappointed with my life in the South."
Sasha didn’t understand anything. Tania just shrugged her shoulders not intending to explain Arielle’s words just now, so the boy just watched silently and didn’t protest much. He had been assigned to look after Princess Arielle. No matter what Princess Arielle’s words meant, Sasha would always be by the princess’s side. Whatever the situation, Sasha would always be ready to help the princess...
The carriage slightly shook as a sign that they were crossing a bridge to the palace. It wasn’t long before the train stopped, and the window was lowered. Arielle recognized a guard checking the contents of the carriage. The girl waved her hand to greet the man.
"Ah, Princess Arielle! You’re home!?"
"Good afternoon! I’m home!"
The man rushed back to his place of guarding while asking his friend to open the palace gate.
"Princess Arielle has returned! Open the gate!" the man shouted enthusiastically.
Arielle smiled, and Tania laughed because the screams were heard even inside the carriage.
Arielle took one of the glass jars containing Frostberry jam and gave it to the guard earlier. Several guards on guard waved their hands to greet Arielle, who stretched out half of her body from the window.
"Eat with the others. Use it sparingly because it’s an expensive item," Arielle said jokingly.
"Wow... a souvenir! I will eat it alone!"
"Hey! Unfair! Princess Arielle said to share!" shouted one of his friends.
Arielle just smiled and then sat back in her chair. The carriage passed through the gate and then stopped in front of a magnificent white palace building with many flower vines adorning its tall golden pillars.
A guard opened the carriage door, and Arielle got off first with Tania and Sasha followed. Sasha looked at the entire palace in front of him in awe. The palace was so magnificently beautiful.
Nieverdell Palace might not be as big as Northendell Palace. It was just that the palace here was more colorful, unlike the Northendell palace, which was covered in white snow, which made the palace seem boring and gloomy.
He glanced behind him, where a fountain was standing. Inside there were colorful fish swimming. At Northendell Palace, the palace garden were fountains too, but the water there was hot because of mana flows and there were no fish like here.
