Love You Till the End-Chapter 888 - 887: I’ll Take You Home
Last night, she got so drunk after just a few glasses of red wine that she was a complete mess. With such low alcohol tolerance, sooner or later she’d be taken advantage of by the men coming here for a drunken revelry.
Su Jiuyi was a bit stunned. Was this man concerned about her?
"Later, go find the manager; he’ll explain everything to you in detail."
Seeing her emotions had calmed down, Shi Aoju left those words and turned toward the door.
"Wait..." Seeing him about to leave, Su Jiuyi quickly called out to stop him.
Shi Aoju turned around to look at her, his deep eyes rippling with a hint of emotion, "What’s up?"
His voice was very low and dark, making it difficult to discern his current mood.
"Could you call that colleague, Qi Jingren, over? My phone’s dead..." Su Jiuyi’s voice was very soft because she wasn’t sure if this man would help her, so she sounded lacking confidence.
Shi Aoju looked at her in silence for a moment, then slowly said: "No need to have her come, I’ll take you home."

Qin Shaobai was actually on his way to Ciaos when he received a call from the manager. Learning about the incident, he quickly increased his speed and arrived at the scene within a few minutes.
The manager was anxiously pacing around, while the security guards stood in two neat rows with their heads lowered. Off to the side, Qi Jingren seemed oblivious, leaning against the wall and playing on her phone.
"Are you okay?" Qin Shaobai frowned, scrutinizing Qi Jingren.
Qi Jingren didn’t lift her head, merely responding casually: "I’m fine, just got scolded pretty badly."
The manager coughed, then politely greeted Qin Shaobai, "Mr. Qin."
Qin Shaobai acknowledged with a simple sound and redirected his gaze to Qi Jingren’s face, raising an eyebrow and asking her, "Where’s your boss?"
"Gone." Qi Jingren slightly lifted her eyelids to look at him, smiling faintly, "Mr. Qin, if you have questions, feel free to ask me. I’ll definitely be honest."
Before Qin Shaobai could speak, some security guards held back no longer and poured out their grievances: "Mr. Qin, here’s how the situation unfolded—Miss Qi first got us all drunk, then helped her colleague break into the surveillance room, which led to the gunshot incident."
The manager shout out beside them: "Who permitted you to drink while on duty? Are you barmaids? Don’t you have any professional ethics? Such a serious incident happened, are you guys going to bear the responsibility?"
"Everyone shut up." Qin Shaobai rebuked coldly, then strode into the surveillance room.
He examined the bullet’s crevice on the wall, then pulled aside the curtains to look at the opposite building, ordering the person next to him: "Go check the surveillance on the opposite floor or the street. The bullet’s penetration is very strong, so they likely used a remote sniper rifle. Investigate quickly."
"Do you need me to call the police?" Qi Jingren tilted her head to look at him.
"Uncle Police would take you away first." Qin Shaobai glared at her, "Where’s your colleague?"
"She’s with the boss, probably went to his room. She looked scared, but honestly, I don’t know what she was looking for in the surveillance."
"And you helped her?"
"Who doesn’t have hidden secrets?" Qi Jingren replied with a seeming hint, "Mr. Qin has many matters out of necessity too."
Qin Shaobai helplessly rubbed his forehead, wondering how he ended up with such trouble.
