Chapter 98: Three Male gods

The women laughed, but their attention remained fixed on Yvette who was covered in the corner.

"Got your ego hurt". Leila chuckled and Blair grinned.

"Then I shall see who on earth is much more handsome than I am on this set to cause such a chaos". Blair chuckled and walked over with Leila trailing curiously behind him.

As both Blair and Leila pushed through the throng of curious onlookers, they froze, their eyes widening in disbelief.

The women gathered around were staring, some with dreamy expressions, others with hushed giggles, as they pointed and whispered about "the mysterious man who could rival Blair’s charm." . It didn’t take much to figure out who they were talking about and as Blair watched them, he felt heart sank and he suddenly felt nervous about his future career.

That damned Yvette was already stealing his shine and the movie wasn’t even filming yet, then what do he do when the movie begins filming.

Leila catching on quickly, smirked and stepped forward, her voice cutting through the murmurs.

"Yvette". She called out, her tone a mixture of amusement and mock disbelief.

The name echoed like a pin dropping in the silent room. Heads turned sharply, and a collective gasp rippled through the crowd.

As Yvette sight fell on Leila’s, she suddenly felt like she’d seen her savior. She just wanted to familiarize herself with the role but now all eyes were on her and she couldn’t be more grateful for Leila’s intervention.

"Hey, Yvette. What’s going on". Blair added as he stepped forward and all head turn to him, the laughters and whispers abruptly came to an end.

All eyes turned to Blair and then back to Yvette whose face now carried a sheepish smile.

Sighing, she stepped forward, her posture relaxed yet carrying an undeniable grace, unlike the boyish aura she was radiating earlier.

Ladies, ladies," Yvette began, holding up her hands in mock surrender, "I hate to disappoint, but I’m just getting into character. You know . . familiarizing myself with the role. Nothing more." She swept an exaggerated bow, her voice carrying a playful lilt as she added, "No prince charming here, just your humble actress" .

The realization dawned on the group like a thunderclap. And gasps of surprise filled the air, this time with a mix of laughter and disbelief and some of the ladies groaned in disbelief.

"Wait... so you’re really a girl?" One finally blurted out, her face a mix of admiration and betrayal.

"Of course, she’s a girl!" Blair said, crossing his arms with an exaggerated sigh. "Didn’t you all read the script? She’s playing a male character for this film!"

The girls groaned in disappointment, some pouting openly. "We really thought we’d found our Prince Charming," one muttered.

"I really can’t believe this just happened to me ". Another muttered breathlessly and Yvette bowed in apology.

She then chuckled, her shoulders shaking with laughter. "Trust me, being an actor or actress isn’t easy especially being a male actor , it isn’t as easy as it looks. The constant stares, the mistaken swoons... exhausting!" She shot Blair a teasing glance. "I don’t know how you deal with it."

Practice," Blair quipped, crossing his arms and grinning. "But now you’re stealing my shine, and my fans and some people over there even said you’re the most handsome soul she’s ever seen, ewww. She must be so crestfallen now realizing that you’re a girl."

Yvette rolled her eyes. "Oh, please. As if anyone could overshadow you, Mr. ’Most Handsome.’"

The group burst into laughter, though some of the women still looked crestfallen.

One shook her head in awe. "The film’s going to blow up once it’s released. If Yvette can fool us like this, imagine what she’ll do on screen."

Yvette felt a flicker of pride but kept her expression light. "Well, I’m sorry for the confusion, truly. Didn’t mean to steal any hearts tonight."

As the crowd gradually dispersed, Leila leaned closer, her voice low enough for only Yvette to hear. "You’re quite the scene stealer, you know that, Blair’s got his ego hurt?"

Yvette rolled her eyes but smiled. "I guess it’s just part of the role."

_____________

Later in the evening, the rehearsal room was buzzing with quiet energy as Yvette and Blair settled into one of the long sofas near the window.

Outside, the soft glow of late afternoon sunlight poured in, casting a warm ambiance over the room.

Yvette, now back in her casual girly attire, a loose lavender sweater paired with fitted jeans and her short hair was held in place with an headband and she radiated an air of relaxed confidence.

Gone was the "handsome guy" from earlier and yet, even in this relaxed state, Yvette couldn’t entirely escape the attention.

A few crew members and extras stole glances her way, their expressions betraying a mixture of disbelief and curiosity.

The transformation from the dashing "male actor" they had admired earlier to her present self was too much for some to process.

Yvette noticed their gawking but chose to ignore it, her focus entirely on the thick script laid out on the coffee table between her and Blair.

Blair leaned back against the sofa, a pen twirling lazily in his hand as he gazed around the set. "You know". He said, his voice laced with amusement, "I think half of them are still convinced you have some twin brother who played the role earlier."

Yvette laughed and smirked, flipping a page in her script. "Let them believe whatever they want. Saves me the trouble of explaining again."

He chuckled, shaking his head. "You’ve caused quite the stir, though. Even I’m impressed."

Yvette shrugged nonchalantly. "Just part of the job." Then she glanced at him, her tone turning professional. "By the way, Jocelyn will be joining us later. She’s wrapping up her scene in another drama so herr part in this rehearsal is scheduled for later."

Blair smiled and nodded, his gaze dropping to his script. "Got it. Gives us some time to run through our scenes without interruptions."

Behind them Leila appeared and gave them both a polite smile. "I guess all is settled now." She laughed remembering the earlier situation and the duo joined her in a bout of laughter.

"Would you like some coffee or tea? I can bring some over." Leila asked as she stopped laughing.

"Coffee, please". Blair replied without looking up , trying to stifle his laughter.

"Hey, it’s not funny. Okay?". Yvette laughed and casually hit him with the cushion, Leila watched them and smiled as she disappeared towards the makeshift coffee station.

Yvette and Blair were halfway through a tense exchange from one of the pivotal scenes when the door swung open.

The sound of excited chatter filled the room as Tyrell walked in. His tall, broad frame and confident swagger immediately drew attention, and a small crowd of staff and extras rushed over to greet him.

"Tyrell". Someone exclaimed. "You’re finally here!"

"About time". Another chimed in. "We’ve been waiting for you!"

Tyrell nodded and flashed them his signature charming smile, greeting each person warmly.

But as his gaze swept the room, it landed on Yvette and Blair, seated together by the window. A flicker of curiosity crossed his face before he excused himself from the group and made his way over to them.

"Well, well," Tyrell grinned as he said, pulling up a chair and plopping down beside Blair. "Look who’s hard at work. Don’t you two ever take a break?"

Yvette looked up from her script, a sly smile tugging at her lips as she teased him. "Some of us take this seriously, Tyrell . Unlike certain people who waltz in late and steal all the attention."

Tyrell feigned a wounded expression, placing his hands over his chest. "Late? Stealing attention? I prefer to think of it as making an entrance." He leaned back, folding his arms behind his head. "But seriously, what did I miss. I didn’t miss anything. Right?"

Blair leaned forward, his voice tinged with mock irritation. "You missed the chaos Yvette here had caused earlier. Half the room thought she was a guy and some even said "she’s" the most handsome male actor they’d ever see. It was hilarious."

Tyrell eyes widened, his attention snapping to Yvette almost immediately. "You’re kidding."

"Nope, I’m not". Blair said, a smirk playing on his lips. "She had everyone swooning, thinking she was the next heartthrob in line to rival me ."

Tyrell shook his head, a look of regret crossing his face. "I can’t believe I missed that. I would’ve paid to see it."

Yvette basking in their reactions, crossed her arms and tilted her chin up. "Well, you snooze, you lose. It was quite the performance, if I do say so myself."

Tyrell laughed, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "I’m impressed. But you know, Yvette, this just proves you’re a natural. If you can fool this crowd, the audience is going to be blown away and I can’t even wait to be on the set with you."

"That’s the plan" Mei replied confidently. "And please don’t flatter me". She giggled.

Their conversation was interrupted by the sound of muffled giggles.

A group of young women, probably some of the staffs passed by, their eyes darting toward the trio.

One of them whispered loudly enough to be heard, "They look so perfect together, three male gods in one sitting, I’m so blessed to witness this. Yunno, Tyrell’s got to be the most handsome then followed by our dearest Yvette and then Blair".
