Chapter 99: Little Rabbit

Their conversation was interrupted by the sound of muffled giggles.

A group of young women, probably some of the staffs passed by, their eyes darting toward the trio.

One of them whispered loudly enough to be heard, "They look so perfect together, three male gods in one sitting, I’m so blessed to witness this. Yunno, Tyrell’s got to be the most handsome then followed by our dearest Yvette and then Blair".

The other mumbled. "Can’t you see that even Tyrell and Yvette looked like quite the match now that she’s back to her normal self".

Yvette stared at their exaggerated expressions and raised an eyebrow, her lips twitching as she fought back a laugh.

Tyrell, ever the charmer, turned to the group with a wink. "You ladies flatter me."

However there was someone who didn’t look as amused or pleased ,not even at the very least.

Blair straightened in his seat, his jaw tightening as he addressed them. "You know". He said, his tone light but with an edge. "It’s funny how people just jump to conclusions and make rating, for goodness sake, she’s a girl, how can you include her in a male charting and also Yvette and I have been working together longer, but no one’s pairing us up. . ."

Yvette shot him a sidelong glance, her smile turning teasing at his pettiness. "Jealous that I got in the charts, Blair?"

"Of course not". Blair answered quickly, though the slight flush on his cheeks betrayed his words.

Tyrell sensing the tension, smirked and added teasingly. "Don’t worry, Blair. You’ve still got your fanbase, you’ve still got us."

He gestured toward the group of extras who were blatantly staring at Blair, whispering amongst themselves. "See? Plenty of admirers."

Blair rolled his eyes, muttering under his breath. "Not the point cause they’ll all be gone once she’s back to act again and then I’ll have to worry about my position and career, Yvette you traitor."

"Achoo. Is that you cursing me?" . Yvette sneezed and immediately turned to hit Blair playfully.

Tyrell chuckled, leaning back against the sofa. "You guys are impossible."

Tyrell watched their interaction but his heart was somewhere else as he turned his head every now and then, searching the cast for a familiar face.

Just when he was about to give up on his pride and ask the duo if Leila was around, Leila returned just then, balancing a tray of two steaming coffee cup.

Her movements were brisk, almost hurried, and her gaze flicked nervously toward Tyrell as soon as she noticed him as she approached the trio.

Yvette and Blair were now immersed in their scripts, but Tyrell, lounging comfortably in his chair, immediately noticed her and his trademark smirk appeared almost immediately, and Leila’s cheeks flushed a deep pink as memories of their last encounter in the cubicle resurfaced unbidden.

Leila set the cups down gently in front of Yvette and Blair. "Here’s your coffee guys, anything more you need?". She asked softly, avoiding Tyrell’s gaze.

"No, this is perfect". Blair unaware of the rising tension in the air said, offering her a grateful smile and she gave a small nod of acknowledgement.

"How about you go get a cup of coffee for Tyrell also?". Yvette asked and Leila immediately snapped up straight.

She hesitated for a moment before turning toward Tyrell nervously and Yvette tried all she could to stifle her laughter as she watched Leila stammered nervously.

"I’ll... I’ll get you a cup too". She stammered, her voice barely above a whisper and Tyrell nodded in acknowledgement, without a word.

And as she turned to leave, their hands brushed briefly, the contact sending a jolt through her. She scurried off, her heart pounding in her chest relentlessly.

Tyrell watched her retreating figure with an amused glint in his eye. "Cute". Her murmured under his breath, leaning back in his chair.

When Leila returned a few minutes later, holding a single cup of coffee, her expression was composed, but her slightly trembling hands betrayed her nerves.

She quietly approached the quiet Tyrell cautiously, extending the cup toward him and kust as she handed it over, his fingers lingered on hers, deliberately caressing her hand.

And Leila stiffened almost immediately, her back straightening as her breath hitched in her throat. Her gaze shot to his, but his expression remained calm as though unaware of what he’s just done to her, though his eyes danced with mischief.

"Thanks, little rabbit". He murmured so low in a voice that only she could hear.

Her eyes widened, and she quickly withdrew her hand as if burned. "Would you stop calling me that already?" She hissed under her breath, her tone sharp but quiet enough not to draw attention.

And without waiting for his response, she turned on her heel and stomped off, her cheeks flaming yet Tyrell kept staring at her, unwaveringly.

Leila dropped into the seat beside Yvette with a huff, crossing her arms over her chest.

Yvette noticed her expression and glanced up at her from her script, concern flashing in her eyes. "You okay?" She asked.

Leila forced a smile and nodded. "I’m fine. Just tired." She hesitated, then added. "By the way, Jocelyn already called in to inform that she wouldn’t be coming today. She had some sudden event, so we’ll need to focus on the other scenes first tomorrow."

Yvette nodded thoughtfully. "Got it. I’ll let the director know." She glanced back at her script, but her curiosity lingered, how could she noticed the earlier interaction between Leila and Tyrell and it made her wonder what he’d said to her to make her furious , this was a side of Leila she’d never seen before.

Meanwhile, Tyrell’s attention had not for once wavered from Leila. His gaze followed her as she shifted uncomfortably in her seat, clearly trying to ignore him.

Blair who had just straightened up in his seat casually noticed Tyrell’s focus and immediately felt a wave of irritation as he cursed under his breath.

However, misunderstanding the situation, he assumed that Tyrell’s attention was directed at Yvette since she was sitting directly beside Leila.

"This guy is just so impossible, why’s he staring at her like that, like she’s some prey he’s eager to devour?" . Blair muttered angrily under his breath as he followed Tyrell’s focus and it never moved from it’s initial position.

"I’d better do something about this before a love triangle or something of the sort starts, arghh this is driving me crazy". He muttered inwardly and ran a hand through his tousled hair frustratedly before pulling out his phone from his pocket, he then quickly typed a message and sent it to Yvette.

"Blair" : Be careful around Tyrell. He’s been staring at you the entire time, just like at the party few days ago.

Yvette’s phone buzzed, and she glanced at the screen. Her lips curved into a smirk as she typed her reply almost immediately.. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢

"Yvette" : You’ve got it all wrong. He’s not staring at me. He’s staring at Leila or he’s been staring at Leila the whole time.

Blair’s brows furrowed as he read her response. His eyes darted toward Tyrell who was indeed still watching with a strangely soft intensity and this time he realized he had indeed misunderstood and that the person he was staring at was indeed Leila and not Yvette.

"Tyrell?. And Leila? Is that even possible?". Blair muttered under his breath, disbelief evident in his tone. He then leaned toward Yvette lowering his voice. "Are you sure? Why would he be interested in Leila?"

Yvette chuckled softly, keeping her voice low. "Why not? Leila’s kind and cute, and Tyrell clearly enjoys teasing her or more I’ll say" .

Blair frowned, leaning back in his seat. "I just didn’t peg Leila as his type. She’s... well, she’s Leila" .

"Exactly". Yvette said, her eyes twinkling. "That’s probably why he likes her. She’s not like the others who’s always fawning over him."

As the conversation shifted back to work, Leila’s phone buzzed on the table. She glanced at the screen, hesitating for a moment before standing and stepping away to take the call.

Her voice was soft but laced with urgency as she spoke to whoever was on the other end.

Yet from the beginning till the very moment, Tyrell’s gaze followed her every move, his expression thoughtful.

Yvette, catching his look, immediately nudged Blair playfully. "See what I mean?" She whispered.

Blair shook his head, still struggling to wrap his mind around the idea. "I still don’t buy it. Tyrell’s not exactly the kind to—"

"To what?". Yvette interrupted sharply, raising an eyebrow. "Fall for someone like her or what? You underestimate Leila, I think. She’s more than capable of handling him."

Blair had just opened his mouth to argue but was cut off by Tyrell who finally tore his gaze away from Leila and leaned toward them.

"What are you two whispering about over there?". He asked, his tone casual but his eyes sharp.

"Nothing,". Yvette said innocently, a mischievous smile tugging at her lips.

Tyrell didn’t look convinced, but before he could press further, Leila returned, her expression composed once more. She slid into her seat quietly, avoiding Tyrell’s gaze entirely.

Blair watched the whole interaction unfold, his skepticism slowly melting into curiosity.

Perhaps Yvette was just right, there was something unusual about the way Tyrell usually playful demeanor softened when he looked at Leila.
