Chapter 56: Chapter 56: Being Framed

Stella Grant was already feeling guilty.

When she heard Silas Sutton retort, her heartbeat uncontrollably sped up a bit.

She knew there’s no way to call this even, but the problem was, aside from this ’word’, she couldn’t think of anything better to say at the moment.

Say she’s responsible?

Honestly, saying that makes her feel like she’s taking advantage of Silas Sutton.

Stella calmed herself for about seven or eight seconds, looked straight into Silas Sutton’s eyes and said, "President Sutton, what do you want to do?"

Silas Sutton said, "What do I want to do?"

Stella said, "..."

Stella couldn’t agree to this.

It’s not that she’s judging him with a sinister mentality; she also believes that with Silas Sutton’s status, he wouldn’t make a woman like her do anything criminal, but she still felt incredibly uneasy.

Seeing her remain silent, Silas Sutton chuckled softly, lifted the blanket and got out of bed to dress.

Stella hadn’t expected Silas Sutton to suddenly get up, and when her gaze fell on the firm muscles of his lower back, recalling his waist strength last night, her face instantly flushed red and she turned her head away.

As Stella turned her head, Silas Sutton spoke in a deep voice, "I haven’t thought about what to do about this matter yet, so consider it that you owe me a favor, and I’ll call you when I figure out how you can repay it." 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎

Silas Sutton was reversing the truth. Stella didn’t dare to answer but still had to refute where needed, "President Sutton, the responsibility for this is not entirely mine; why does it become that I owe you a favor?"

Silas Sutton slightly pulled the corner of his mouth, "I’m currently single, and you have a boyfriend. In this relationship, who’s at a loss?"

Stella said, "..."

This is what it means to shoot yourself in the foot.

And what it means to say if you stir up trouble, it eventually catches up with you.

Stella finally understood clearly at this moment.

If it hadn’t been for yesterday, when she and Sue Woods sang in harmony in front of Silas Sutton, she wouldn’t have to suffer this hidden loss now.

The problem is, now she can’t deny it.

Stella clenched her lips into a straight line and swallowed her pride, "Fine."

Upon hearing this, Silas Sutton, facing away from Stella, curved his thin lips into a handsome smile and spoke in a low, deep voice, "Don’t you have something to do? Not getting up?"

Speaking of having things to do, Stella suddenly remembered Ben Lawson, who had been fractured by Sue Woods, pondered for a while, and decided to inform Silas Sutton, "President Sutton, Mr. Lawson is in the hospital right now; do you want to visit him?"

Silas Sutton adjusted his belt and turned around, "Hmm?"

Upon hearing the sound of the belt buckle, Stella felt at ease and turned around, speaking truthfully, "I’m not too sure what exactly happened; I just know that Mr. Lawson was hospitalized with a fracture, and Sue Woods was the one who hit him."

Silas Sutton’s expression remained unchanged, but there was noticeably more amusement in his eyes.

Seeing his gaze, Stella quietly let out a sigh of relief.

She had been worried that Silas Sutton would make things difficult for Sue Woods upon hearing this, but now it seemed, she was overthinking.

The friendship between men really can’t be measured by a woman’s way of thinking.

As Stella was pondering this, she heard Silas Sutton say, "Are you going to the hospital later?"

Stella answered truthfully, "Yes."

Silas Sutton said, "I’ll wait for you outside the door; I’ll go with you later."

After saying so, Silas Sutton turned and left the bedroom.

Watching Silas Sutton leave, Stella got up and headed to the bathroom, took a quick shower, and came out to find a rather conservative long dress from the wardrobe.

When Stella emerged from the bedroom, Silas Sutton was just extinguishing a cigarette at his fingertips.

The two exchanged a look, and Silas Sutton’s narrow eyes held a smile, "All set?"

Stella replied distantly, "Hmm."

Seeing that Stella wanted to draw a clear line again, Silas Sutton chuckled lightly, "Let’s go."

On the way to the hospital, Stella focused on driving, not saying a word.

When the car arrived at the hospital, Stella and Silas Sutton took the elevator upstairs, and upon exiting, they saw Sue Woods sitting on a corridor bench, crying her eyes out.

Sue Woods was sobbing so much she could barely catch her breath, and the ground around her feet was littered with tissues used for wiping her nose and tears.

Seeing this, Stella quickly strode forward in her high heels.

Hearing someone approaching, Sue Woods instinctively looked up, and upon seeing Stella, she embraced her tightly, crying even louder.

"Stella."

"I really feel like I want to die right now."

"Who would’ve thought that pretty boy was so fragile."

"I just lightly hit him a couple of times, and he ended up with a fracture."
