Chapter 57: Disgust and Fury

The first thing that caught Xavier’s attention was the cracked sky. Just one look and a strange sense of heaviness enveloped his heart, causing his expression to darken slightly.

In that brief moment, he seemed to have witnessed the slaughter of millions of goblins, their cries still echoing in his head.

Xavier didn’t know why he experienced this scene. Maybe it was Lich King Rokos trying to play the victim card, or maybe it was just something natural.

But his gaze slowly moved toward the ever-growing seal, and the cold look in his eyes solidified.

No matter what he saw or witnessed, not even a trace of pity rose in his heart.

Before he could contemplate any further, the sound of intense fighting came from ahead. For a moment, he even seemed to have heard a woman’s voice.

A woman? What would a woman be doing here?

Xavier was absolutely stunned. After all, this was another world—a world belonging to goblins. What could a woman possibly be doing here?

Just as he was thinking, the figure of a young girl with a cold and indifferent expression on her face, fighting goblins non-stop, flashed in his mind.

Don’t tell me it’s her... How stupid does she have to be to jump inside some random portal?

Still, after a moment’s thought, he started moving in the direction where the sound came from.

With the Deathwill aura bonus still in effect, Xavier’s figure moved at a blistering speed, leaving multiple afterimages behind.

In the distance, Aria and the First Sequence goblin knight were still clashing. However, compared to before, the knight had a clear advantage, as it should. Aria’s figure was still in terrible condition—from head to toe she was completely drenched in blood. Yet even in such a state, her eyes were still as cold and indifferent as ever. The greater the injuries on her body became, the brighter the crown above her head pulsed.

Xavier had arrived just in time to notice Aria’s body slowing down and the goblin knight raising its weapon, slicing toward her neck.

Hmm... His eyes instinctively narrowed to slits. Just as he was about to move and help her, something bizarre happened.

The crown on Aria’s head let out a blinding light, seemingly turning into a miniature sun, lighting up everything in the surroundings. Before anyone could react, a terrifying beam of compressed energy shot out from the crown, piercing a human head-sized hole through the goblin knight’s chest, continuing unhindered to perfectly cleave through multiple buildings behind.

Under Xavier’s slightly shocked gaze, a disabled ball of spiritual record emerged from the goblin knight’s body, merging with Aria’s figure. Next, as if time itself was reversing, all the wounds on her body healed one by one.

She leveled up!

This thought popped into his head. After every level up, their body would return to its peak state.

He wasn’t surprised by the absence of drops. Considering she had killed a First Sequence king, her ranking should be high. She might also have the hoarder talent.

While Xavier was watching, Aria finally noticed his presence. Her two pale blue almond-shaped eyes narrowed slightly. She seemed to be a little surprised by his appearance.

However, one look was all it took, and the next moment she turned her gaze away, seemingly no longer interested in Xavier.

Xavier also didn’t care. He wasn’t here for her anyway.

Slowly moving deeper into the castle, with Aria at the front.

As he moved, the black stone paving gave way to clean, cool white stone that looked like marble, giving off the vibes of pure opulence.

For some reason, after that one knight, they didn’t encounter any other monsters.

Xavier’s gaze was still as sharp as ever, not letting his guard down. As if reacting to his thoughts, the Deathwill aura enveloping his figure pulsed. For a brief moment, Xavier’s figure came to a halt, ears tensing faintly.

He didn’t know if he was imagining things or something else, but just now he heard a pained groan. It wasn’t the pain but the despair in that voice that caused Xavier’s heart to shake.

What is going on...?

He looked around with a solemn face.

He wasn’t the only one who seemed to have noticed this abnormality. Aria’s reaction was no different. However, compared to his slightly measured response, her reaction was more extreme. The temperature around her figure seemed to fall to an absolutely freezing point.

Next, as if an arrow leaving a bowstring, Aria’s figure shot straight in the direction where the voice first came from.

Xavier had no intention of following, but for some reason when he took one step in that direction, the Lich King seal on his right hand flared intensely.

Lich Rokos was nearby!

As soon as this thought came to his mind, without hesitating, he followed Aria’s footsteps.

In the distance, the castle architecture changed slightly, becoming more grand and even more opulent. The stone flooring was replaced with metal plating flowing with a gold sheen. The high-roofed ceiling was decorated with grand paintings of goblin generals marching into war—multiple major events from the goblin race’s history.

Xavier noticed these changes and the frown on his face deepened. Not because he sensed danger, but now he could hear a woman’s cries loud and clear.

"Argh! Stop..."

"I can’t bear it any longer..."

"Please, kill me..."

However, these cries of pain were overshadowed by something far more disgusting—the sickening goblin laughter echoing louder and more perverted.

Just then, a completely emotionless voice echoed. "I will kill every single one of them."

Even though it was not loud, in Xavier’s ears it rang like thunder.

Without even looking, Xavier knew who the speaker was.

Xavier hurried forward, and what he saw caused his chest to tighten as a furious, burning rage ignited in his heart.

How dare they.

Multiple women lay on the floor, their bodies bruised and filled with claw marks. Some had flesh bitten off their chests while others were missing limbs. Some were completely unmoving. Instead of horror and fear, there was a look of pure relief in their eyes.

Turning to the very center, a bunch of goblins were letting out lewd laughter with disgusting smiles on their faces, their faces flushed.

Even though the sight wasn’t entirely clear, Xavier did not fail to see the woman pinned beneath one of the monsters.

The situation was extremely horrible and disgusting.

For the first time ever since the start of the apocalypse, Xavier had the genuine intention of erasing every single one of these green-skinned creatures from existence.
