Legendary Architect of Apocalypse-Chapter 89: I’m not like you
"That person’s stupidity worked in your favor. If you ever find him, you should thank him," Astralious told Elias, reminding him that he was lucky the Fable that found him was one that wasn’t yet hostile to humans.
’Thank him? Never!’ Elias frowned at the thought alone. If he was right, then that person was most likely his brother.
There was no way he was going to thank the person that ruined his world. If it wasn’t for that person, then he would never be in this situation in the first place. Just thinking about that person soured his mood, and he tried to distract himself.
He focused more on his current situation, and asked the woman more questions. The only thing he changed was that he didn’t ask her about herself. His questions focused more on the high-tier fable that was outside.
"When you brought me back, did that old man say what would happen if I woke up?" he asked, slightly lowering his guard. The situation didn’t appear to be as dangerous as he had initially thought.
Even if the old man outside was a high-tier fable, he hadn’t tried to kill him while he was asleep. This gave him the impression that the old man didn’t really care about humans, especially since young humans like him weren’t a threat.
"I told her to send you away after you woke up. Is there anything else you want to know?" Elias received his answer, but it didn’t come from Lycorice. Instead, it came from above. Elias raised his head and saw a speaker attached to the ceiling.
"If you are done, then you can leave now." The voice came again, accompanied by the noise of a hammer hitting metal.
"I can understand why she doesn’t have any hostility towards me. But why don’t you?" Elias asked, having grown certain that the old man was able to hear everything they were talking about.
"I am not like you. I don’t live my life filled with hostility, trying to destroy everything that stands in my path. I have no interest in you or the path that you people chose. So leave."
Elias was repeatedly told to leave. Even Astralious was telling him to listen to the old man, since there was no benefit in staying in a dangerous place like this.
They truly made him feel like he was an uninvited guest in someone’s home, which, in some ways, was also true. He wanted to ask a few more questions, but it didn’t seem like he was welcome there anymore.
He wanted to say a lot of things to the girl, who was also from Earth. But he resisted the urge, worried that he might corrupt the blank piece of canvas that Lycorice was.
"The fruits were delicious. Thank you for them," he thanked the girl, before jumping off the bed and landing on his feet. With many thoughts still buried in his heart, he left the room without looking back.
"You can come back anytime you want! I have lots of fruits!" Lycoris exclaimed, watching Elias leave.
Hearing her words, the old man almost facepalmed himself. Here he was, trying to make them leave, and she was inviting them back again.
Sometimes, he really thought about telling her the kind of things that these humans did to innocent people outside, but he dropped that thought, just as quickly. He didn’t want her to have the same guilt that he carried for such a long time.
"Fortunately, that boy is wiser than her. He won’t be back," the man sighed, confirming that Elias was truly leaving. The boy had chosen a direction completely opposite to where he had been sitting, still playing it cautiously.
Only after the boy disappeared from his sight did the man go back to hitting the piece of bent metal, attempting to straighten it.
"Hmm?" Only a few minutes had passed before his hammer came to a stop just before it could hit the metal. He looked in the direction where Elias had gone, feeling a number of powerful presences.
"What happens to him after he leaves this place is none of my concern." He shook his head lightly and went back to hitting the metal plate. He could stop Elias from going towards the danger, but he didn’t even bother to try.
Just because he didn’t have hostility for humans, didn’t mean he had to save all of them. They had their own fate. If the girl hadn’t saved and brought Elias back here, he wouldn’t have even bothered to let him rest here.
....
"I was right about your luck. It’s quite good," Astralious observed, trailing behind Elias. "You even survived after entering the domain of a high rank fable. Destiny seems to have plans for you."
He continued, his voice trailing off. "If only my destiny was as good as yours. Maybe I wouldn’t be trapped here. But it’s fine. After you learn to control your abilities, I’ll be free as well. It would be such a great feeling."
He had only seen a glimpse of that Freedom when he was possessing Elias’s body, but that feeling lasted for a short time before he was trapped again.
"Can you please be quiet?" Elias had been silent throughout the journey, but Astralious didn’t stop talking at all, making it impossible for him to focus on the map in his hand.
He already had the ego that never stopped talking when it was outside. At least he could ignore the ego, but now he had something that was inside his head all the time. He couldn’t just stop listening to Astralious, even if he wanted.

"Just stay silent for a few minutes. I’m trying to find our current location," he told Astralious, unable to hide the frustration in his voice. If anyone else had seen him talk to a Constellation in this manner, then would’ve been quite amazed.
....
A group arrived outside the domain of a High Ranking Constellation that had told Elias to leave.
"Is this the place?"
