The system panel that appeared before Elias felt like an upgraded form. It wasn’t semi-transparent anymore. He couldn’t see through it.

It looked as though it existed in the physical realm, and not just the illusory one. He even felt as if he could reach out his hand and touch it. Moreover, there wasn’t one such system screen, but two of them.

The words on the system panel were also different. They looked less mechanical and more like they were written by a real person. And the handwriting wasn’t unfamiliar to him.

He recognized that handwriting, as it belonged to him in the first place. It helped him understand the things that were written better.

The first screen showed him a list of his old abilities that seemed to have evolved along with him. Meanwhile, the second screen showed him the two new abilities that he had gained.

1) Extraction has evolved to Precise Extraction. You can select specific materials within the material composition to only target them for extraction.

2) Merger has evolved to Advanced Merger. You can now merge incompatible materials with living beings. The success probably may vary.

1) Extraction Control: Things that you have extracted, or merged, will be linked to you. You can summon them to you, as long as they are within the same realm. If the extracted material has sentience, the Extraction Control would ensure that the sentient can’t disobey you.

2) Analysis: Allows you to analyze not just materials, but also living beings. You can access more data, aside from material composition, including potential use cases and stats.

3) Creation Comprehension: You will be able to comprehend the things that you extract, or create to a greater extent. Effects may vary.

4) Storage: You will be able to store things that you extract, or create with a merger.

The first screen, which displayed his newly evolved abilities, was enough to pleasantly surprise Elias. But the second screen almost made his heart leap out of his chest.

Almost all the new abilities he had received were extremely useful to him. And this was just the first evolution. What about the second evolution, or those that followed?

The ability that he most urgently needed, was certainly storage since the storage realm that he could use, was nothing but a temporary ability.

He didn’t even know when it was going to become useless, which was why he was already planning to take out all the important things from there before the seventh day.

Another ability that he found extreme use for, was the creation control. With the creation control, he didn’t have to worry about the wavering loyalty of any ego that he could use in the future. He could command them to perfection, with no chance of betrayal.

He didn’t know much about other abilities as he hadn’t tested them yet, but the description made him feel like they were also extremely useful abilities.

With this evolution, he had received more things to test. And the thing that made him the most happy, was that he didn’t have to go around guessing the abilities or stumbling around to find what he could do.

If he had to identify a flaw, there was only one. He didn’t seem to have received the one ability he had been anticipating the most.

When he had tried to extract abilities from the students of the Dimensional Academy, he was informed that he lacked sufficient evolution. He thought that this time, he would have acquired that ability, but it was still missing.

"Does it come after the second evolution?" he wondered. If that one ability wasn’t absent, he would have been much more pleased than he already was.

He had heard that a person only received one or two abilities with their first evolution. Meanwhile, he had received four of them. Even though he didn’t get the ability that he wanted the most, the other abilities that came with the evolution had made up for it.

He was in such a good mood, that he had almost stopped thinking about the behaviour of the ego that had upset him. In any case, there was no point in getting upset over it, especially since he had a way to ensure that something like this never happened again.

The moment he thought about the ego, he started looking around. "Hmm? Where is that guy?"

He couldn’t find the ego anywhere. It had disappeared. It made his good mood disappear, as he frowned, wondering if the ego had run away. Was he again fooled?

If the ego was trying to return to their world to find his brother, then it was really foolish. It was going to end up before the two professors, who were simply going to destroy it with a flick of their fingers.

"Please don’t be this foolish." Elias started worrying that he might already be too late.

He didn’t know long he had been out. If it was a long time, then the jet might have already been destroyed to the point that he couldn’t even get back the materials that he used to evolve it.

He really hoped that it hadn’t been a long time, as he prepared to summon it back with his newly gained ability.

"Extraction Control." He used his newfound abilities. "Confirm Summon."

He didn’t know how the jet was going to be summoned back, or if his ability could even manipulate the space to this extent. It was also his first time testing something like this after all.

Fortunately, the skill seemed to have worked as a shadow started appearing in front of it. From that shadow, a fighter jet emerged that didn’t seem to be completely destroyed. Still, what Elias saw did make his expressions go dark.
