"That freak... If I had to make a rough guess, I would say six. It was quite impressive given his age at that time. He might be on his seventh evolution already."

Astralious wanted to have his revenge on that man, but even he knew that, as a Constellation, it was unlikely. Even when he was at his strongest, he couldn’t defeat that man. Now that he had weakened, it was only a distant dream.

To be able to face that man, who could only have grown stronger, he needed something else. He needed to take over a human with a decent bloodline so he could play on the same field as the humans who could evolve.

If possible, he would have loved to possess Elias, as the boy had some really fascinating abilities. He had only gone through his first evolution, but he could still trap someone like him.

If he could possess Elias completely, then his future path could have been much better, especially since the boy didn’t seem to be from any powerful family that could threaten his existence.

It was easier for the professors to find a fable possession, but even they couldn’t find a Constellation possession. Everything was served on a well-arranged plate for him, but he had failed.

He didn’t think that he could possess Elias anymore, but the boy could still help him find a better host, so he wanted him to survive this land.

"You should try to avoid that person or his family members at any cost," he reminded Elias. "If they found out about me, you would be in trouble as well. So quickly find a way to free me after you get out of here, for your own safety as well."

"For my own safety, huh." Elias reached mildly. Out of everything that he had come across yet, the Ashborn family was the least dangerous for him since he was a part of that family itself.

Even if they didn’t treat him well, he didn’t think that they could outright try to kill him. If they wanted him dead, he would’ve been dead already.

He didn’t tell Astralious his real identity, and simply looked out the glass, watching another contract pillar short through the sky, from a third direction.

Throughout the journey, he saw a few more pillars rising through the sky, while the previous pillars disappeared with the completion of the contract.

He had counted the number of pillars of light that he had seen, and they roughly matched the number of major family descendents that had entered the Land of Fables with him.

"It looks like none of them died in the battle, and all of them contracted a High Grade Soul Beast." Even though he had come to terms with it, there was still a little bit of jealousy that appeared in the depth of his gaze.

"It isn’t the time for you to be distracted. We are almost there. Within three minutes, we will enter the Shadow Domain." Astralious told Elias, feeling the heavy essence of the fables, despite being trapped.

"Do you have a plan? Or are we simply going to barge inside, hoping for the best?"

"Why would we do something so foolish? Don’t you know there are better ways to fight a war?" Elias’s gaze regained his focus as he looked ahead. "Let me show you how we fight a modern war against an enemy."

He told the ego to land on the ground, before they could even enter the shadow domain. The ego started going down, and soon landed on the ground, merely a short distance away from the Shadow Domain.

The cockpit opened, and Elias jumped out. He prepared to send the ego back temporarily, but he stopped when he heard the ego say something strange.

"This place seems familiar. I think I’ve been here before," the ego said, his voice sounding somewhat confused as if he himself couldn’t remember completely.

"If you’re not wrong, then you probably came here with Ali-" Elias subconsciously replied, but he stopped himself before he could utter that name, remembering that he had another guest as well.

He wasn’t sure if Astralious had heard that name before, but for the time being, he didn’t want to take the risks of letting him know.

He shook his head lightly and ended the conversation. Even if Aliath came here, that knowledge wasn’t very beneficial to him. That man was different from him, after all. Unlike Astralious, he wasn’t planning to enter the Shadow Domain like a brute force.

He planned to enter that place, but only after arranging more materials for himself. And what better way, then to bring the materials to himself.

He opened his Class Storage, and started bringing out a few things that he had created. "You know the best thing about this domain system? It’s that the stronger ones can’t come out. If you have enough resources, you can really rain hellfire on them."

He brought out a heavy object that was even larger than him, and placed it on the ground. The weight of the item itself made the ground slightly tremble.

....

Back inside the Shadow Domain, Zesten stood near the window, his hands behind his back. He looked out at the beautiful city that belonged to him.

"You said the boy was captured? How long until he is brought here?" he asked, without turning around.

"They should be back in a day, if travelling without rest," an old man answered from the back of the room.

"I don’t keep you here for guesses, Prophet. I have already waited a long time. Give me a precise time when they will arrive."

The old man’s lips twitched, but he said nothing. His eyes began to shine, and he started performing his calculations regarding Elias’s current location.

The ceiling darkened under the influence of his abilities, and stars materialized above him, moving in irregular paths until they all came to a halt.

"Hmm?" His eyes opened abruptly as he finished his calculation. "How is that possible? Even if they travelled at their fastest, they shouldn’t be..."

He closed his eyes and opened them again, performing the calculation once more. But the answer he received from the stars was the same.

"What is impossible?" Zesten asked, finally turning around. He saw only the old man’s face, trembling in confusion.

"According to my calculations, he is... right outside the domain. How could that be?" he mumbled, but he soon noticed something in the corner of his vision.

He rushed to the window and looked outside, watching something that was flying in their direction.
