What some of her cousins were doing in her bed was a mystery to Mei Mei. The children had already gone home with their parents when she went out for the date.
Jingzhe followed Mei Mei back to her bedroom, stopping outside her door. He would be sleeping in his own bed this night.
"Does this count as our first double date?" He asked her.
She nodded. "I think so, we were two couples on the date after all. It was rather enjoyable, wasn’t it?"
He agreed. "I feel like I am finally taking a step into your inner circle of friends. It is one thing to be accepted as your boyfriend and another to be accepted as Jingzhe the friend."
This was because Meihua had made jokes with him, been critical and shared her opinions on him, his business and other things openly.
She did not tip toe around just because he was Mei Mei’s man. He liked that. He respected it. Rong Meihua was an okay person, outside her crying.

"Is that a good or bad thing?" He asked her.
"Very good." she answered.
He leaned down and kissed her on the forehead. His eyes lingered on hers and his smile became softer. "You should head inside now before I decide to turn on pony and make you wear that dress which is illegal in at least six empires."
The memory of her in that dress would accompany him through the night. When she was ready to take their relationship to the next level, he hoped that she would be wearing that dress.
It would end up being ripped apart in some places however, and he thought that it was such a shame. He wanted to see her in the dress a few more times.
The more he thought about it, the more tempted he was to follow her inside.
She chuckled and playfully shoved him back. "Goodnight Mr. Vixen."
He groaned and walked away slowly, whistling the pony song.
She rolled her eyes and closed the door.

Jingzhe was still whistling when he was suddenly grabbed and pulled into his bedroom. It was not his intention, but a little scream came out of his mouth when he was pulled inside.
The way she grabbed him was similar to a scene he had seen in many horror movies where a ghost or vampire or clown or something equally horrific grabbed an innocent passer by and gobbled them to death.
"Mom!" he exclaimed when he saw Madam Feng’s face. "What are you doing here?"
Madam Feng switched on the light. "What are you screaming for? Do you know how long I have been waiting for you? Didn’t you see the peep star’s post?"
He frowned and touched the smart watch on his arm. During the date, he had not looked at his phone even once. Neither had Mei Mei. If the peep star posted something, they had not seen it.
