Chapter 357: Jingzhe...wedding dress critique.

There were too many dresses, all luxurious and all expensive. Mei Mei and Meihua were lost in a sea of indecision. It showed on their faces as they sipped coffee from mugs provided by the shop.

Eager eyed managers stood by their dresses, waiting for them to make choices.

Just when they thought it would not get anymore crowded. A dummy on rollers was pushed in. On it was a sequined mermaid gown that looked like it had been dipped in liquid gold and crushed in blue and pink pearls.

Meihua dramatically put her hand on her forehead. "This is impossible." She whined.

Silk, lace, chiffon....some materials so delicate that she was afraid of touching them because she was worried that she would rip the dresses apart.

"One more." A female manager of another wedding shop rushed in.

She was not from the bridal shops in this mall, she had flown in from another part of the city as word spread that Jun Meilin was shopping for a wedding dress.

They shuffled around to create space for her. She was not alone, having come with four armed guards and a man and woman that looked like scientists, from the white lab coats and ID badges around their necks.

"We brought the Nanite wedding dress which was exhibited yesterday at the world’s unlikely science conference." She shared.

It was the traditional red wedding dress which was the talk of the empire yesterday. It was grown, not sewn. Millions of nanites had been used to weave a flexible, shimmering silk dress which glowed to reflect the bride’s emotional state.

The more it shimmered, the happier the bride was. It could also evolve as the ceremony changed, changing color and design so a bride needed one dress for the entire function. It could be used for a traditional wedding and a white one.

After the wedding, it could be worn for the honeymoon and even a funeral.

"What should we do?" Meihua asked Mei Mei.

"I suggest trying on the dresses to find what is perfect." Duan Siping suggested.

Mei Mei and Meihua stood up. Indeed, that was the only way. Some dresses looked great but only on specific people.

The ladies were led away for transformation.

Jingzhe turned to Duan Siping and initiated a conversation that was unrelated to the wedding or dresses. "Is it true that Meihua makes you call her hubby?"

Siping’s cheeks turned red.

Jingzhe laughed. "Damn! I thought it was just rumors until the peep star shared it. Mei Mei calls me male vixen."

Six mutes later, as the men were laughing, Meihua emerged first in the cloud wedding dress which was beautiful to look at on display but questionable on the human body. It was so voluminous that she was almost swallowed by it.

"You look like a fluffy bunny." Siping told her.

She twirled and the clouds turned grey before turning white again. The white pearls which were encrusted in the bodice shimmered.

Jingzhe shook his head. "I know a bride should feel like she is floating on clouds on her special day but I don’t think that she should be wearing the cloud!"

A manager gasped. "This dress was in Vogue!! It is couture!"

Jingzhe shrugged. "A wedding is not a red carpet event. Maybe cut-ure some parts of the dress off so that it actually looks fit for a responsible wedding." His fingers made a gesture of a scissor trimming something as he said "cut-ure."

The manager’s lips quaked.

Siping covered his mouth. No wonder people said Feng Jingzhe’s greatest talent was pissing people off with his mouth.

"The dress was inspired by the Queen Marie Lafayette’s final picnic." The manager shared passionately.

Jingzhe raised his eyebrows. "I am pretty sure that it was a guillotine, not a picnic."

The manager stormed off dramatically.

Siping chuckled.

Mei Mei stepped out from behind a curtain in a silky white and gold gown that clung to her like a second skin and scandal waiting to be written. The neckline plunged low and all of her back was exposed.

It had a slit that came up to the middle of her thighs and a long tail like a snake’s.

Siping choked on his champagne.

Jingzhe blinked in alarm. "This dress is illegal." he declared. "Meihua, did they steal fabric from here and add it to the cloud you have on?"

Meihua laughed. "She looks like she is about to seduce an emperor and slit his throat in his sleep so that her lover can take the throne."

Siping raised his hand. "Or seduce a duke, poison him and his sons and steal his estate before running off with the butler."

"I think that is a movie." Meihua said.

Jingzhe gave Mei Mei a thumbs up meanwhile. "You look amazing but honey....that is not the dress. But, I think we should take it."

"Four million eight hundred eight thousand yuan." The manager from the company which presented the dress shouted.

Jingzhe raised his hand and the black card was taken quickly by the eager manager.

Everyone knew exactly where Mei Mei would be wearing the dress to.

The bedroom!

One of the employees took a picture of Mei Mei in the dress and then she left to change.

Three minutes later, Meihua reappeared in the red gown which made her look like a stunning witch out of a fairy tale.

At the back and bottom, it spread out like a fan of ostrich feathers.

Siping clapped his hands. 𝑓𝘳𝑒𝑒𝓌𝘦𝘣𝘯ℴ𝑣𝘦𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝑚

Jingzhe was horrified. He did not like peacocks or their feathers because they looked like ominous eyes. "How many peacocks were killed for this?"

The same manager that explained the cloud dress narrowed his eyes and said, "It is a bird themed regal peacock dress."

"You mean bird themed pinata?" Jingzhe asked. "Come on!! Look at our Meihua, she looks she is on her way to marry the bird king."

Siping chuckled. "My hubby looks lovely. I do not agree with your conclusion here."

Meihua unfurled the peacock style fan in her hands and covered the bottom half of her face with it.

"I like it." She declared.

Jingzhe raised his hand and handed over the black card. "When the birds swoop in to nest in your neck, don’t say that I did not warn you."

"Are you going to buy every dress we like?" Meihua asked him.

Jingzhe beat his chest with firmness. "I told you all, this is my treat today. All my life, I have been waiting for the day when I would swipe my card for my Meilin. The opportunity has come and I am going to use it."
