Lady Meilin is seduced by her green tea brother-in-law everyday-Chapter 356: Wedding dress shopping.
The couple was all smiles when they finally came out of the car in the parking of a large giant mall. She had freshly applied lip stick while his neck was covered in hickeys. With every step she took, she winced a little because he had crushed her waist with his iron grip.
"That is officially my favorite song." Jingzhe declared.
Mei Mei rolled her eyes. "Damn male vixen."
He heard her and laughed. He did not care what she called him, as long as she was with him. Jingzhe took her hand and led into the elevator, heading to the movie theater on the roof top.
Through the transport walls, she saw Meihua and Duan Siping getting off on the floor that was just below the movie theater. "Is that Meihua?"
Jingzhe did not see her because the elevator was already on the movie theater floor. He pushed the button and they headed down to the next floor.
"Why are we going down?" she asked him.
He blinked. "I thought you wanted to see if it was her."
He was not wrong and they got off the elevator, hand in hand. Floor eighty eight, where they were turned out to have just three eateries and many bridal shops.
Mei Mei’s eyes did not miss the giant Tao foods sign on one of the eateries. Tao foods eateries were like ants, but in a good way. You could find one in nearly every building or street.
Someone called her name and she looked to the right and saw Meihua coming out of Tao foods. She was holding one of Duan Siping’s hands. He was carrying a bag of snacks in his other hand.
"What are you guys doing here?" Meihua asked them.
"We came to watch a movie in the theater on the rooftop." Mei Mei replied as her eyes roamed over the bag of snacks and Siping, who she acknowledged with a smile and nod of her head. "What are you two doing here?"
Meihua gestured at the bridal shops which were weirdly empty. "I reserved all the bridal shops here. I need to find the right engagement dress and look at what they have to offer in terms of custom made wedding dresses and suits." She narrowed her eyes. "Si Zai is getting married in the same week as me and I refuse to be out shined by any other couple."
She let go of Siping and took Mei Mei’s hand. With eagerness, she asked, "Do you want to go and try on wedding dresses with me? I would like my bestie with me to share honest opinions and with two people trying on dresses at the same time, it will go much faster."
Mei Mei’s eyes lit up. She had not done this when she was getting married to Mo Liang. It seemed like something fun to do.
But she was not there alone so she needed to see where Jingzhe stood.
"A Zhe..." She tilted her head towards the bridal shops. "Do you want to see me trying on wedding dresses?"
He beamed widely. He would kill to see her trying on a wedding dress for him. He had hidden AI pictures of her in his phone and in fifty of them, she was in wearing a different wedding dresses.
Some were red, others were white and two were black. He was sure that she would look amazing in all of them.
"You do not have to ask me twice." he told her. "It is certainly better than any movie we were planning to watch."
Meihua was so excited that she pulled Mei Mei away from Jingzhe and rushed her to the largest bridal shop in the middle.
Managers of different bridal shops around were already waiting inside with racks of wedding dresses they wanted to show Meihua.
Six managers were standing beside six racks. Other wedding dresses were on dummies and others were being displayed in floating holograms.
"Everyone, Mei Mei is here to try on dresses too." Meihua announced.
The eyes of the managers lit up. Four of them rushed out of the shop to bring more dresses. Two were on the phone, calling their bosses.
Dressing Rong Meihua for her wedding was good for business. Dressing Jun Meilin for her wedding was not just good, it was great. She was a walking free endorser for any product she touched.
Now that she was back in the good graces of her family, her wedding would be attended by royals and nobles. This was the kind of free PR they all dreamed of.
Mei Mei poked Meihua’s head gently. "You are giving them the wrong idea."
"Because that will force them to bring out the good stuff that they are hiding." Meihua answered.
She pulled Mei Mei to sit down and the men also sat down on a soft pink couch and prepared to be blown away. One dress rack was moved and two attendants in white gloves occupied the space where it had been.
They had wheeled in one a vertical box that was transparent. One touched the back and a light was turned on inside.
There was a dress within. It was white with a faint sky blue and shimmered like moonlight on the sea, The bodice was sculpted from platinum lace, hand-forged by a smith that once worked for the royal family.
A mixture of tiny meteorite fragments in which diamonds had been glued were attached to the seams, each one connecting to another like stars in the sky. It was stitched with threads created from crushed sapphire and silk of artificially bred golden silk spiders.
The descriptions rolled along one of the windows of the transparent box and the women read them carefully.
"We got this from the vault." One of the attendants shared. "It can be used as a wedding dress or an engagement dress."
The other attendant jumped in and said, "Of course, it would be too extravagant for an engagement dress and it could stretch your budget...."
"How much?" Mei Mei and Meihua asked together.
Jingzhe did not waste his breath, he pulled out a black card. Whatever the cost, he was going to buy it. Whether it was for Mei Mei or a gift for her bestie, as Meihua called herself, both were good reasons to buy it.
"Twenty...." The attendant started and stopped because he was cut off abruptly.
"Wait," More attendants from the other bridal shops rushed in, pushing or pulling boxes of their own. "We also have dresses from the vault."
Meihua scoffed. They had not touched their vaults when it was just her. "I told you they would pull out the good stuff as long as you were with me."
