Chapter 351: An arsonist’s demands.

Huo Yanzhou was brought to the warden’s office. He sat down with the flair and arrogance of a man who owned the world. He even had the guts to raise his legs and place his feet on the warden’s table.

It was because he knew what he had in that moment, it was his ticket to becoming the most valuable criminal in the cold prison.

"So...." the warden started.

"Lawyer." Huo Yanzhou said. "I want my lawyer Feng Xu and a cigarette."

The warden laughed. "I am not giving you anything that has the color of fire. But I can give you that lawyer you are asking for. However, it is already night and....."

Huo Yanzhou groaned. "Warden, all the privileged assholes in this prison get visits from their lawyers and women at all times of the day and night. I am sure that you can find some way to bring my lawyer here. You are also going to have to pay his fees for me because I am not thriving financially lately. Why else do you think I finally decided to reveal my hidden card?"

The warden gestured at his assistant to go and start working on the lawyer. Then, he leaned forward and narrowed his eyes at Huo Yanzhou. "Why didn’t you come forward when the Jun’s offered a reward of ten million for information?"

Huo Yanzhou rubbed his thumb against his bottom lip, smiling mysteriously.

He had an air of arrogance about him which the warden hated. What he hated even more were Huo Yanzhou’s good looks. They had trended more during his arrest and trials than the crimes he committed.

Crazy women were offering to have his babies and marry him.

To date, he received the most letters in the prison [fan mail].

He also received more female visitors than the rest of the prisoners. Every other month, journalists and true crime authors also sought him out.

The warden shoved Huo Yanzhou’s feet off his desk. It was not that he hated the arsonist but he was jealous of the man. What right did a prisoner have to be that handsome?

"You..." the warden started.

Huo Yanzhou closed his eyes and crossed his arms across his chest. "Wake me up when my lawyer arrives."

An hour later, a lawyer that was dressed in his pajamas was ushered into the warden’s office with three bodyguards and two prison guards.

He was Feng Xu, a lawyer from a top firm. He had no idea what was so urgent that he had not been allowed to dress up and yet he was allowed to bring his briefcase.

"Your lawyer is here." The warden told Huo Yanzhou.

Huo Yanzhou opened his eyes and grinned. He spread his arms out and stretched. "Feng Xu it has been a while."

Feng Xu clenched his jaw. If he had known who he was going to meet, he would have remained in bed. In his opinion, Huo Yanzhou was the scum of the earth. The bastard had escaped after his trial and nearly set his whole family on fire because he was angry about losing the trial. "I am out of here."

Huo Yanzhou cackled. "Don’t be in such a hurry Feng Xu. Aren’t you good friends with Chi Zimo? This concerns his niece Jun Meilin. It can be said to be a matter of life or death."

Feng Xu paused and looked at Huo Yanzhou. "What are you scheming now?"

Huo Yanzhou reached into his pocket and brought out a small note on which he had written his demands and gave it to Feng Xu.

Feng Xu read the demands out loud. "One is the trial documents and police investigation files on prisoner 9780." He raised his head. "Who is this and why do you want these documents?"

Huo Yanzhou shrugged. "That is not your business. Just figure out a way to get them to me."

Feng Xu looked at the warden. The warden urged him to continue. So he moved on. "You want a public apology from Huo Mingchu for stealing your eggs when you were six years old." His jaw ticked and he looked at the warden. "Seriously! you got me out of bed for this nonsense?"

The warden could only sigh.

Huo Yanzhou chuckled. "I am thirty two years old but I still remember the sting of anger from the theft of my eggs. They were the last eggs my mother cooked me before she run off with Mr. Ching who owned the billiards hall on our street."

Feng Xu raised his head. "The billiards hall which you burned down. There were human bones found in that fire. Not enough to make an identification and not enough to form a single full body. Those bones would not happen to belong to your mother and that Mr. Ching, would they?"

Huo Yanzhou gasped. "Feng Xu, I have not seen my mother since she run away. Stop poking at my wounds." He wiped away non existent tears from his eyes.

The warden’s assistant whispered to him. "I told you that he was a psycho. He probably killed them."

Feng Xu looked at the third request. "A cell swap. You want a large single luxury cell with the same exact comforts as those of prisoner 200 in cell 8."

"You have never been to cell 8." The warden said to him.

Huo Yanzhou twisted his mouth. "Maybe, maybe not. Who knows? Just know that I know everything he has and I want it all. If even one item is missing, I won’t give you the video."

"What video?" Feng Xu asked.

The warden laughed. "We will take care of it."

Feng Xu got the feeling that the warden did not want him to know what Huo Yanzhou had. But it was probably something important__something related to the Jun’s. "A library card." He read. "Fifth demand is a pet cat....a real cat, none of those fake cupcakes that look like cats."

"What can I say, I am lonely in here." Hou Yanzhou claimed.

Feng Xu twisted his lips and looked at the sixth demand, "A musical performance where you are dressed as an ancient general with a sword and six female dancers are fawning over you as you drink wine. And after, you want to bed the six dancers in your brand new cell." He slapped the table. "Are you kidding me?"

Huo Yanzhou laughed. "Some people have house warmings, I want to have a cell warming. There is nothing wrong with that. Those dancers should be hot by the way, Wu Tangning kind of hot. Oh and a fifth demand, I want fifty million deposited on my account. I am sure Lord Jun Muyang would not mind paying. How much you add to that warden, is none of my business."
