Lady Meilin is seduced by her green tea brother-in-law everyday-Chapter 340: Revenge clown.
Mei Mei, Jun Yi and Madam Feng watched the whole thing from the window with wide scheming grins on their faces. Mingzhu was squeezed between her mother and grandma Feng.
She had no idea what they were all smiling about.
"Okay, next item on our itinerary." Mei Mei declared as she backed away from the window.
Jun Yi gestured for everyone to follow her into her bedroom. The plan was for the queen of revenge to get back at Jingzhe for lying to her the night before. Mei Mei had a plan.
Madam Feng had provided a list of things Jingzhe was most afraid of. Clowns and ghosts. Mei Mei had picked clowns and not the funny birthday clown but the pale-faced, dead-eyed, "I peek through small holes in your ceiling and live in your crawlspace" kind.
Jun Yi had purchased the costume, not just one but two. One for Mei Mei and one for Mingzhe. They came with old style ruffled collars, oversized shoes and masks that looked they had belonged on the faces of something from a folklore which ate children for a living.
As they sat on Jun Yi’s bed and waited for her to begin applying the make-up and doing her magic, Mei Mei held up one of the masks.
Mingzhu backed away with a frown.
"Is too scary darling?" Mei Mei asked her.
Mingzhu nodded and decided to seek safety in the hands of her grandmother. "Mommy, you are bad." she accused with a frown.
"That can’t be right. Mommy is good." Mei Mei sniggered.
Mingzhu hugged her grandmother. "Grandma mommy wants to scare my daddy."
"Your daddy had it coming." Madam Feng replied.
Mingzhu pinched her small lips together unhappily. She wanted to go and warn her father but she knew it would be impossible. Her mother was not going to let her anywhere near him before she succeeded in her prank.
After the make-up was applied, Mei Mei sneaked back into the bedroom and made her way to the bathroom. The plan was simple: Jun Yi would knock on the door and wake Jingzhe up. She would lie that Mingzhu had forgotten something in the bathroom. Mei Mei would be hiding in the bathroom, waiting for him. He would open one of the cabinets with a mirror and when he closed it, he would see the scary clown in the mirror.
She had even rigged the lights in the bathroom to flicker and hidden a smoke machine in the corner for effect, Atmosphere was everything.
Ten minutes after successfully hiding, Mei Mei sent Jun Yi a message and her started executing the plan. As she waited for Jingzhe she got another brilliant idea: fake blood!!
She quickly reached for the first aid box and got a pint of fake blood. As she hid in the bathtub again, she smeared some fake blood on the mask.
Drama was everything.
Shortly after she added the blood, she heard footsteps.
Jingzhe entered the bathroom, yawning loudly. He noticed the lights flickering and paused. "I should fix that." he mumbled.
Mei Mei waited for him to open the cabinet and she stood up as quietly as she could.
When he closed the cabinet, he saw the clown with blood and shrieked. Mingzhu’s smart eyeglasses went flying as he turned to run but tripped over his own feet as smoke spread through the bathroom.
The clown jumped out of the bathtub, hissing like a snake.
Jingzhe whimpered. "Mei Mei? Is that you?"
She pulled off the mask, grinning. "Ha-ha, I got you." She laughed in a deep voice. "Revenge is a dish best served cold with a clown face."
Jingzhe’s heart continued to beat crazily. He laid on the bathroom floor, blinking. If she had not hissed, he would not have known that it was her.
She leaned over him. "Are you dead?"
"You are insane." He replied.
She snapped a picture of him, laid down beside him laughing loudly and snapped another picture.
"I think I peed a little." He said.
Mei Mei laughed even louder. "Next time you will think twice before scaring me."
He sat up, nodding solemnly. "Never again. You win Jun Meilin." He looked at her face and shuddered. "Please wipe off the creepy make-up and burn the mask and costume. I don’t think I will be able to sleep a wink if those things are still in our house."
She sat up and then stood up. Immediately, she helped him up as well, still wearing the orange clown wig. "Just so you know, Jun Yi placed a camera in here to record the moment of your scare."
Jingzhe groaned. "Oh no! does it record audio?"
Mei Mei nodded.
He gasped. "And you let me admit to peeing a little!!"
She looked at his crotch and shook her head. "Your sweat pants are dry. Even if you peed, you would still be my A Zhe," She put her hands around his waist and pulled him close. "Do you feel like kissing a clown today?"
Jingzhe looked at her face and shuddered. He squirmed and got away from her. "Nope, no, absolutely not. I draw the line here Mei Mei."
He escaped the bathroom and found Mingzhu waiting outside.
"Daddy, daddy," She threw herself at him. "I told mommy not to do it. She tried to make me scare you with her but I said no. I love you daddy, I would never scare you."
Jingzhe picked her up and hugged her. "My good daughter, daddy knows that you would never be involved in such shenanigans. That is why you are my favorite princess, frog, monkey and third wheel."
"Daddy, next time I will run very quickly and warn you." Mingzhu promised.
Mei Mei peeked out of the bathroom, sneering at the the little tattle tale she gave birth to. "Jun Mingzhu, you short frog traitor...."
"Waaah..." Mingzhu cried out. "Daddy, mommy is being mean to me again."
Jingzhe carried his daughter out of the bedroom. "Let’s go Mingzhu. Daddy will save you from mommy or the big bad wolf."
Mei Mei rolled her eyes. What saving? Did they think she would not find them downstairs? As she wiped off the make-up, Mei Mei wondered how she had given birth to a little tattle tale. 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞
It had to be the Mo side of the family. Jun’s were not tattle tales. They were excellent at keeping secrets.
She kicked off the clown shoes and wondered where she would hide them. The days of pranking were far from over. In fact, she needed to find more costumes.
