Lady Meilin is seduced by her green tea brother-in-law everyday-Chapter 317: Men’s brunChapter
Come morning, the Mo’s had not reached a consensus. Only when they sat down to have breakfast did Mo Wenbin’s wife realize that he had gone out to buy some beer and not returned home at all.
He had not slept off in a home that belonged to one of their relatives. He had not fallen asleep in the vegetable field of their family. All the cash they had come with was gone and their joint account had been emptied.
In a panic, she woke up everyone and shared the news.

In the capital, Feng Jingzhe was also sitting down for an awkward breakfast of his own. On the insistence of his mother and girlfriend, he had joined other men that were equally unwilling to partake in a forced bonding ritual of friendship.
It was him, Lord Jang who was Rose’s husband, Duan Siping who was Meihua’s fiance, Qin Yan who was Taiyuan’s boyfriend and Zhilan’s boyfriend who insisted that everyone call him the capital’s third prince even though he was not royalty.
The venue of this brunch was a balcony in a private dining room in the the Royal kitchen which was one of the most famous restaurants in the empire. It was also the only six star restaurant in the empire.
The men were sitting around a round table awkwardly for ten minutes, sharing curious silent glances for a while and Capital prince decided to break the ice.
"So....can’t we all just dash out and claim that this was superb?"
Jingzhe blinked. "The women are in the private room next door and I am sure they have eyes on us somehow. If you try to make a run for it, you will be thrown back inside within seconds."
Lord Jang laughed. "This feels like every play date that my son has been forced to go to by his mother against his will."
"My mother did insist that I come." Jingzhe muttered.
The others laughed.
In the room next door, the women exchanged hopeful smiles. They could hear laughter and that was a good sign.
The only reason why they could hear the laughter was because Mei Mei had borrowed some of her mother’s spy equipment and they were using it to eavesdrop on the men. Out of respect for the privacy of the men, her mother had insisted on giving them equipment that could only send muffled sounds--nothing too clear.
Jingzhe picked up some toast and sighed. He thought to himself that he could have been at the zoo with Mingzhu and the rest of her aunts and uncles rather than sitting here with a bunch of grown men that were looking at their watches every other minute.
"So does anyone have anything to talk about?" Lord Jang raised his voice.
Qin Yan leaned in. "I would like to recommend my gym in case any of you is interested in getting fit." He stood up and lifted his shirt, showing off his abs. Then he showed off his biceps and smirked. "A healthy body will take you a long way gentlemen and your women will thank me for it."
Duan Siping pushed up his silver rimmed spectacles and frowned.
"I build boats for fun." The Capital Prince shared. He raised his palms, showing off the calluses. "By hand."
Jingzhe leaned forward, suddenly captivated. "You build boats by hand! That’s very impressive. How big are these boats?"
The Capital Prince shrugged like it was no big deal. "Just canoes, nothing gigantic. It takes me half a year to finish one and when I get done, I sell if off and start afresh. It is a great way to relieve stress by the way."
"I make pottery." Duan Siping contributed to the conversation. "It is also a good way to relieve stress. I own a small pottery workshop on Mao street. If any of you wants to come by....." He realized that he was being too enthusiastic so he paused and calmed himself down.
Siping was nervous because all the men he was with were accomplished in various ways and he was just a teaching assistant. He really admired Feng Jingzhe because even though they were the same age, the man was already a billionaire.
A self made billionaire at 24!!! That was the kind of money that one would have to start working while in their mother’s womb to make.
"I will visit and if you have some nice things, I will become a regular client. If you teach, I will sign Zhilan up and maybe she will tone down on the Zodiac obsession if she finds a new hobby."
"You are dreaming." Lord Jang laughed.
Qin Yan pointed a spoon at Jingzhe, looking at him curiously. "So you are some kind of genius, right?"
Jingzhe nodded. "This question is usually followed up by a stupid one like how do I carry so much knowledge in my head and does it feel heavy or can I guess what you are hiding in your pocket?"
"Woah!" Qin Yan raised his palms. "You are a genius, not a magician. I was just going to ask if it is true that most geniuses end up as failures."
Jingzhe shrugged. "Intelligence does not guarantee success, just as being tall does not guarantee that one will be a great basketball player. Coming from a wealthy background does not mean that one automatically has a gift for making money, some are just good at squandering and that is why sometimes all it takes is one imbecile to bring end a family legacy."
"That is true." Lord Jang said, searching his pocket for a cigar.
Jingzhe spread his arms out and leaned back in the cushy artisan wooden chair. "Geniuses also suffer like everyone else from internal and external pressures. I think we just feel it more than others because of the expectations our families and society has for us.
Many of us find peace in solitude. We suffer mental health challenges like anxiety, obsessiveness and depression because we strive for perfection and find it difficult to let go of things that make no sense."
"And we are always outsiders." Duan Siping finished in a small voice.
When he noticed others looking at him he blushed. "I am not a genius but I have a higher IQ compared to most average people. I was always at the top of my class and it didn’t make me many friends.
I chose to stick to myself and others said I was arrogant. I joined the basketball team and excelled at the sport and to others it seemed like I was just showing off. Some of my teammates thought I was overshadowing the team. I quit basketball and joined the student council."
Jingzhe nodded. "See, like I said, external pressures. But it does not mean geniuses always fail, many succeed."
"You spend a lot of time with your father-in-law, don’t you?" Qin Yan asked Jingzhe.
