Lady Meilin is seduced by her green tea brother-in-law everyday-Chapter 316: Madam Feng’s slippery hands.
Zhenzhen found herself the center of attention with many curious eyes staring at her eagerly as if she had an answer for all the questions in the universe.
Meihua raised her voice before Zhenzhen could say anything. "Ladies, I already looked into this so there is no need to put Miss Zhenzhen on the spot. I even paid Lady Chi a visit and asked for her opinion on the match. Everyone knows that she is one of the best matchmakers when it comes to arranged marriages in our society. She gave me her approval."
Some of them looked at Meihua and smiled before turning their eyes to Zhenzhen again.
Zhenzhen laughed. "There were no such rumors about him. Honestly, he kept to himself much of the time and stayed out of trouble. He was all about his books no matter the attention he got. The only rumor I ever heard was that he might have had a crush on Si Lixue. They were both on the student council and she was the only girl often seen around him."
All heads turned to Meihua.
Taiyuan raised the question that came to her mind. "White moonlight?"
In unison, Jun Yi and Mei Mei said, "Ooooh..."
Meihua rolled her eyes. "I am taking Lady Chi’s word over all your dramatic assumptions. Since I am choosing an arranged marriage that benefits both families, I will see it through and hope it turns out for the best. Besides, none of you has met Duan Siping. He is shy and cute. He may have played basketball but I rock climb on the weekends and kick box everyday. You should have seen his face turn pink when I carried him." She chuckled as she recalled his innocent silly embarrassed face.
She was confident in her decision. Rather than keep mopping around about a man who had been emotionally constipated through their relationship, and another that had not bothered to tell her he was in a relationship, the simple open Siping was a better choice.
"Why were you carrying him?" Rose asked her.
"Because I am paying the dowry." Meihua answered. "He might have to call me hubby in bed."
Madam Feng was bringing ice cream for the ladies and this time, it successfully slipped to the floor."Slippery hands." She shared with a sigh.
She turned around and called a maid in to clean the mess. Madam Feng could hardly bring herself to look at the giggling ladies without sighing again. They were one outrageous merry band of friends.
"I think my fiance should meet your boyfriend." Meihua suggested to Mei Mei. "They might be good friends."
Madam Feng turned around with an eager look in her eyes. Oh yes, if they were offering her son friends, she would take it. It was the one mission in life she always failed at and the one area Jingzhe did not excel in.

The Mo family was gathered once again but they were not in the capital anymore. They had all moved back to the country side in Sea city where their old ancestral home was.
It was an old house, one that they had maintained just because they desired to keep the land. The house itself, it had been renovated just enough to keep it standing but not enough to make it aesthetically pleasing or large enough to fit everyone in case of a sleep over.
And lately, the need for the sleep overs had grown because everyone had moved there and the space could hardly accommodate them all. Four people were squeezed into a single bedroom.
In the living room, some of them were sitting on the old carpet which nobody had bothered to clean and others were squeezed into the chairs.
Grandpa Mo was dressed in old grey robes instead of his usual suit and he was moving his fingers over a the Buddhist beads in his hands. He had acquired them from a priest at temple after the death of Mo Bao and Mo Ai.
Mo Shuo was smoking to the great displeasure of others in the living room. But, not one single complaint was raised as he was making calls to all the powerful people he knew, hoping to find help.
Mo Fanfan was trembling, thinking of smoking too. "Why is everyone silent? Some of us are in prison, three of us are dead. All of our businesses have been closed or sold. We don’t know the fate of Anqi and Bao’s families. All of our plans are not working out, obviously we are compromised."
Mo Wenbin’s eyes scanned the room. "Has anybody been talking to outsiders about our business? My passport conveniently went missing so I cannot even escape the country. If I dare to run elsewhere, I have to live like a refugee."
"Mine also vanished." Mo Fanfan cried out.
One by one, more of the Mo’s admitted to having missing passports.
Grandpa Mo stomped his walking cane on the floor. "I need you all to calm down and remember who we are up against."
"You mean who is hunting us like freaking cows locked in a field with no way out." Mo Wenbin bellowed. "We all already know that we cannot beat them. That is why I am suggesting that we move underground. Literally. The old closed train tunnels beneath Quidong District in E city were turned into underground housing for those looking to live away from technology.
There are no phones over there, no contact with the outside world. All we have to do is wear facial disguises and go with cash.
As for jobs, the tunnels lead to some farms and vine yards. We can work the land."
Mo Guoqiang was horrified. "Work the land! Live in tunnels!! What about school? What about my friends?"
"I cannot farm." One woman cried out. "I would rather get a divorce. Anyway, lets face reality, the ones with criminal charges are all Mo’s. Why can’t you just accept the consequences of your actions and leave us the wives and the children with a way out?"
Mo Yiran, the only one without criminal charges as she had been living abroad agreed with her sister-in-law. "Jia is right, those in trouble should face their problems and find a way of solving them instead of running. You cannot ruin everyone’s future out of selfishness."
Mo Xia was eating a waffle and she was nodding. She was only fourteen and her crime just required her to make some apologies and spend two months in sensitivity training with government psychologist. Why should she move to some tunnels and farm just because her uncle was a criminal?
The Mo’s were divided. Some stood with Wenbin and others stood with Yiran. For the Mo’s the time to decide their future had come.
