Lady Meilin is seduced by her green tea brother-in-law everyday-Chapter 310: Jingzhe hacked Long Wuโs laptop!
Madam Feng shook her head and brought the hot chocolate into the room. She took Mingzhu from Jingzheโs arms and sat down on the single sofa neat the balcony, looking out at the rain. ๐๐๐ฆโฏ๐ธ๐ฆ๐๐๐๐ทโฏ๐.๐๐๐
Mama Su handed her a cup and a spoon. Madam Feng started feeding Mingzhu hot chocolate as if the little one had no hands or ability to drink from a cup.
Mingzhu loved being treated like a baby and she opened her mouth happily. Her fingers played with the simple diamond necklace around her grandmotherโs neck.
"We should increase the number of bodyguards we have or get more guard dogs." She started. "Can you imagine what would have happened if Mo Liang had showed up with that knife when the princesses were around?"
"Royal agents would have stopped him before he reached the house." Mei Mei said slowly while watching steam from the cup of hot chocolate in her hands rising. Her right hand reached for cheesecake.
It was her first time pairing cheesecake with plain hot chocolate and it was more delicious than she imagined. The red velvet coating which Madam Feng had added was chefโs kiss.
She always thought that she would grow tired of cheesecake because she was eating a lot of it but each day, Madam Feng found a way of making it different and better.
What talented hands she had!!!
"The monks have called this blessed rain just because it happened to rain on the day of the Empressโs funeral." Madam Feng mentioned.
Mei Mei snorted. "Blessed rain my duck butt! The monks also claimed that some of them saw a glowing light when the body of the Empress was placed in the coffin. Do they think anyone buys that?"
Mingzhu sniggered. "Duck butt! mommy said a bad word."
"There is nothing wrong with the butt of a duck and it happens to be a delicacy. Mingzhu, donโt you love duck tail the most?" She leaned forward, smiling with the aura of a villainous mother that was about to share some news which would leave her daughter disturbed. "Duck tail is duck butt. Frog monkey Mingzhu eats duck butt."
Mingzhu pouted and looked up into her grandmotherโs eyes. "Grandma..." She said in a weak aggrieved voice.
Madam Feng laughed and hugged her. "Aiyo, our baby, ignore your mother. Duck tail is very delicious and grandma will prepare it for dinner."
Mingzhu still maintained her pout but she did not stop eating. Eating was very important.
"Is Long Shuang going to be sent back to the temple now that her motherโs funeral is over?" Madam Feng asked Mei Mei.
Mei Mei placed her empty cup down. "I donโt know what Junjie is planning." She looked at Junjie. "You are buddy buddy with the Emperor lately. Has he spoken about his plans for his daughter?"
Jingzhe was in the middle of licking the spoon clean and he licked up like a started bunny. He lowered the spoon and replied, "Do both of you realize that I signed a Non Disclosure Agreement before going to work for the Empress Mother? Everything I see and hear in the royal palace is supposed to remain confidential. I cannot even whisper about it in my dreams."
Madam Feng wanted to know the Emperorโs plans but she also understood the importance of an NDA. The princess was not related to her so it did not matter much where she ended up. Unless she ended up in their house again!
"Is he planning to send her back here?" She asked with wide eyes. "I am all for supporting the royal family but I am not very keen to walk around on eggshells again. She is grieving, so her temper is up and down. She tried to hug one of the geese and it almost pecked her finger off. I was so frightened that we would all lose our heads."
The butler appeared in the open doorway. Even though it was open, he still knocked on the door to get their attention.
"Madam, someone has delivered four horses for the young miss."
Mei Meiโs eyes lit up. "Finally!" She squealed.
She did not want to raise suspicions so she asked C4 to find a way for the horses to be delivered while she was around.
"You bought horses." Madam Feng said in a voice that was filled with wonder and questions.
Mei Mei nodded. "I am putting them in the backyard until my application to house them in the stables in the royal courts is approved. If it is full, I will send them to the stables owned by the royal family." She smiled at Mingzhu. "Anyway, my daughter is a princess now so we are entitled to some perks."
Madam Feng also looked at Mingzhu who had slipped on smart glasses that she had been carrying in her pocket.
"Speaking of Mingzhu becoming a princess, I would like to know how we are going to proceed. Is there a manual for this? What do we do when she decides to date someone else at the age of....say ...sixteen?"
"Why would she be dating at sixteen?" Jingzhe drew his head back and scowled. "It is bad enough that the twelve year old prince with unnecessarily long hair is going to be coming around here in the name of....."
"A Zhe, let it go." Mei Mei patted him on the back. "You spent last night sharing all the ways in which Prince Long Wu and Mingzhu were not compatible. You looked up his grades, his hobbies...you hacked into his computer for heaven sake!!"
"Because we must be cautious. That brat older than our daughter. We should not allow him to darken our door until Mingzhu is twenty eight." Jingzhe said grumpily.
"He is a nice boy...let it go." Mei Mei groaned. She looked at Madam Feng and said, "This is what he found on Prince Long Wuโs computer: A list of gift ideas for the members of the royal family that he likes.
Correspondences with his assistant that is attending a fashion show in Milan. He wants to buy some dresses for his mother as a surprise.
He had a spreadsheet tracking homework deadlines. An investment portfolio, a spreadsheet keeping track of the progress of his horses.
Bookmarked articles on all the royals that have misbehaved over the years and a folder labeled, "Things to avoid as a royal."
He also has a folder labeled "Urgent troubles in the Empire."
I think there were some saved chat logs with his friends where they were discussing a polo match, his planned trip to Rome as one of the representatives of the royal family and complaints about a teacher whose ideas he finds questionable. Honestly, my mom was right. The kid is not bad at all and he has his priorities straight."
Jingzhe frowned. "That is the thing, he is too perfect."
