Chapter 267: Mo Liang’s newest plot.

Mrs. Xu knew that look in Assistant Han’s eyes and she almost toppled Mei Mei backwards in order to listen to what news the assistant had to share.

Assistant Han had a document on her phone which she showed Mei Mei. "Mr. Mo’s lawyer has been to visit a psychiatrist that examined him before he left on the mission on space. Apparently, he sustained an injury that caused a frontal lobe injury some years ago. This can cause damage to someone’s brain region, impair reasoning, impulse control and social behavior."

Mrs. Xu gasped. She did not understand what frontal lobe injury was but she understood everything else.

Her face fell into alarm. "Does this mean that he is going to get away with everything?"

Mei Mei scoffed. "If this was true, how did he qualify for the mission to space? Even my parents, desperate as they were to get him away from me would not have endangered the lives of others by allowing a mentally unfit man pilot a space ship."

Assistant Han nodded. "I also think that something is not right about the doctor’s report. Should I have someone look into it?"

Mei Mei turned her down. "I will handle this personally." She had C4, he could hack into the files of the hospital and find the problem.

If it meant breaking into the hospital to find evidence, she would do so. Or she would ask her mother for help.

Assistant Han showed Mei Mei another document. "These are the other claims his lawyer could make. Sleep deprivation." She looked at Mei Mei cautiously and said, "He talks a lot about the fire in which he saved you. It could come up in the criminal trial and he will claim post traumatic stress disorder after the fire. Chronic stress or an anxiety disorder. Alcohol abuse or drug induced psychosis. I don’t know if he has any psychiatric disorders but we should consider them as well."

"Forward the information to my lawyers." Mei Mei told her. She had a feeling that they probably had a clue about this already. Her mother’s people never missed a single thing. One of them was probably sharing a cell with Mo Liang already. Maybe his lawyer was even one of her mother’s people in disguise.

"If you need me to testify for you, just come down here and say the word. Or give me a call, I will say whatever you need me to say." Mrs. Xu gladly offered her services. "If you need me to say that I saw Mrs. Sun poisoning your soup, just say the word. I will swear it on my ancestors."

Mei Mei did not doubt her.

The food tour continued until every spot had been inspected and she met those in charge. As she was returning to her office, the gates were opened and the crowd dashed in. Like hungry wolves, they searched for where they would get their next meal.

Mei Mei had a good view of half of the ground from her office. She stood at the window and watched the madness of the hungry crowd. If the police was not around, what chaos would they have descended into?

The door to her office opened and Jingzhe entered. She glanced back once and turned her eyes to the window again.

"I thought you would be down there, helping your mom out." She said.

Jingzhe did not respond. He just grabbed her waist, spun her around and kissed her. He kissed her hungrily, like she was the last meal he would ever eat. She returned the kiss, intertwining her lips with his. He pushed her against the window and she clung to his arms.

He pulled back and exhaled deeply, struggling for control. "I wanted to do that yesterday after the pocky kiss competition. I thought that I would kiss you when we got home but we had other things to do. I wanted to kiss you in the car but when we were not talking, you were watching Whiskers 10. I wanted to do it every time you fed me something and called me a sweet name." He touched her lips. "I want to kiss you all the time, everyday. Mei Mei, what do you apply to your lips that makes them addictive?"

She punched his chest gently. "You rascal, what do you mean by what do I apply to my lips. If you want another taste, just say so."

Mei Mei turned him around and pressed him against the window. "You had your turn, now it’s mine."

She leaned forward and pulled his head down, lavishing him with kisses.

"You taste like strawberries." he pulled away and said.

She laughed and pulled on his neck, kissing him again. "That is because we both ate strawberries. You taste like lavender, honey and black berries."

They kissed again, breaking off to laugh or describe what they were tasting on each other. They didn’t stop until assistant Han knocked on her office and informed her that grandpa Mo was in the camp, requesting to see her.

"What does that old man want?" Jingzhe snapped. "Sister, you don’t need to see him if you don’t wish. I will go down and throw him out right away."

Mei Mei stopped him. The Mo’s were very crafty and cunning. Who knew if the old man had come with another person that was taking pictures or recording. Images of an old man being rough handled in the camp would not be good press.

"Is he alone?" She asked.

"He is with Mo Ai." Assistant Han replied. "I don’t know if he has come with anyone else. Should I check through the security footage or inform the police to throw take them out?"

"Let them up." She said.

Jingzhe was unwilling, the deep frown on his face said so. Mei Mei guessed there was an uneasy past between him and grandpa Mo. It would not be surprising seeing as to how the Mo family badly treated him.

"A Zhe why don’t you go to your office. I still keep it empty for you to use whenever you come by." She made a suggestion which she hoped he would take.

"No." He flat out rejected the suggestion. "I will stay and protect you."
