Lady Meilin is seduced by her green tea brother-in-law everyday-Chapter 235: Mingzhu’s tooth fell out.
Chen Zhilan broke out in a high squeak laugh, clapping her hands too because she could already imagine it. People would look at Mei Mei like she is insane. But for those that knew the Jun’s, it would not come as a surprise.
They would just assume that Mei Mei was a pet crazed owner like her mother.
"So is it a girl owl or boy owl?"
"Girl." Mei Mei was very eager and forthcoming with that fact. Mingzhu had asked that very question when she claimed the owl. "There is a plan to get her a mate so that she does not grow old alone. By the way, in case you are not aware, Meow Meow is carrying triplets."
"I heard." Zhilan winced. "You are going to need a bigger mansion."
"I am already looking for one but everything is expensive lately. This whole building with space materials thing has been taken many steps too far! You cannot get a decent mansion for anything below two hundred ninety million and I do not have that much mansion to throw away." Mei Mei curled her lips upwards.
"Wow, you are really broke." Zhilan looked at her with pity. "Do you need a loan? I can give you a billion."
Mei Mei touched her chest, "Oh my, how lucky am I to have a friend that is willing to give me a billion yuan on a whim! Much as I appreciate the offer, I will not be taking you up on it.
Frankly, my current house is big enough to suit all my needs and still allow me have many empty guestrooms. It is only when I go downstairs that it feels overcrowded." She looked over her shoulder at Jingzhe and the stroller. Both were still in the same positions. "My overcrowding is pet related.
Every step I take, something is trying to get beneath my feet or climb up my...." She could not finish her words as she was almost strangled.
"Mom." Tao Xiaotong whined coquettishly as she threw herself at Mei Mei, hugging her around the neck. "Second mom, my younger sister Mingzhu is hungry."
Zhilan was a little puzzled. "Hey, miss little chef. Isn’t your little sister named Tao Jihe? When did Mei Mei become your second mother?" She leaned closer to the little girl and whispered, "Are your parents getting divorced?"
Mei Mei removed Tao Xiaotong’s hands from around her neck and scrolled her hand on the empty crab shaped table and searched for the food menu.
Chen Zhilan peeked over Mei Mei’s shoulder with the intent to order for something to eat as well. "I miss the days when we could do this with housekeeping robots." 𝓯𝙧𝓮𝓮𝒘𝓮𝙗𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝓵.𝓬𝓸𝒎
Back then, those robots would be lined up everywhere on the beach. One could summon a robot butler over and just make an order. They could ask questions, get answers and the robot butler would leave and return five minutes later with all the food one wanted.
It could even make suggestions about what was plenty in the kitchen that day, what was freshest, what was appropriate in relation to the weather and more. Some could even detect the health condition of someone and suggest foods according to it.
They were just so much better than ordinary human waiters. But, they were hated by a lot of people in the service industry that lost their jobs to them. There had been great celebrations among many when the robots were banned.
"These smart tables are also good enough." Mei Mei replied. She swiped an order for coconut rice, soft eggplant gravy, fries, deep fried fish, noodles.
Zhilan’s eyebrows shot up curiously. Eggplant gravy, coconut rice, noodles, fish and chips! Did those things even go together? She added ice cream, wine and braised chicken to the order.
"Mom, my younger sister lost her tooth." Tao Xiaotong shared.
Mei Mei’s head almost spun like a basketball bouncing on the ground as she searched for Mingzhu’s figure among the many kids that were playing in the sand. "How did she loose the tooth? It was supposed to come out for another three days?’
"She was biting frozen lemonade diced mango ice cubes with coconut water and honey, an invention of the resort bar." Tao Xiaotong reported like the world’s best journalist. "I told her not to bite but she said she was the great general and she was not afraid of anything. Mom, my little sister does not listen well. Blame me, I did not take care of her well. When we go back to our camp, I will teach her to be more obedient to you like me."
Zhilan poked Tao Xiaotong’s head. "You little girl, why do you sound like a little green tea?"
Tao Xiaotong responded by hissing at Zhilan. "Aunt Zhilan, don’t sow discord between me and my mother. I am young but I know what it means to be a green tea." She smiled at Mei Mei again. "Mom, grandma Chi helped Mingzhu wash her mouth and cleaned the gap in the tooth. The tooth dropped in the sand but I kept it. First mommy kept all my baby teeth and made a necklace out of them which is hung in a frame in our house. Do you want to keep Mingzhu’s tooth?"
She took the tooth out of the pocket of her small swimming shorts and held it out to Mei Mei.
Mei Mei took the tooth. Of course she wanted it! She ruffled Tao Xiaotong’s hair. "Good job honey. For being responsible, I will give you a pod in the camp that is yours for the rest of the year. You can stay at the camp for as long as you want."
Tao Xiaotong was elated. She screamed and threw herself into Mei Mei’s arms. "Thank you second mom, I love you."
Zhilan snorted. Her friend was not collecting pets alone, she was collecting strays like her mother. And little Tao Xiaotong was a little green tea, no one could convince her otherwise. What was her zodiac sign? "Tao Xiaotong, when is your birthday?"
"October 30th." Xiaotong replied. "I will throw my party at second mom’s camp too." She went on to declare.
Zhilan grinned like all the answers had come together to fit perfectly. "A Scorpio, always the masterminds. Good at being secretive and calculating. Very ambitious, love to plot and always wait for the perfect moment to strike." She leaned more and more towards Xiaotong as she mentioned the traits. "Who gave Mingzhu the ice lemon thingy?"
Tao Xiaotong blinked. She was candidly puzzled about what was happening.
Mei Mei lightly slapped Zhilan on the back of the head. "Stop with the zodiac signs!"
Before she could say more, Meihua and Taiyuan returned. Meihua’s eyes were swollen and red and she was still crying.
"They broke up." Taiyuan announced.
Meihua fell on the bed and sobbed dramatically.
Zhilan for once sealed her mouth. But, inside her mind she was telling herself how right she had been. The signs did not lie.
