Kissed and Seduced By the Most Rough Man in the Village-Chapter 362: No Need to Worry About Mr. Su’s Case
After so many days without being alone together, Su Xiaoxiao wasn’t quite used to being held when Jiang Yexun first embraced her. But her body instinctively curled up into his arms. The familiar scents of their bodies intertwined, and Su Xiaoxiao could clearly feel the intense rise and fall of Jiang Yexun’s chest.
"Xiaoxiao, be good. Have you missed me these past days?" Jiang Yexun asked hoarsely, his voice filled with urgency.
He had been busy all this time, yet Su Xiaoxiao hadn’t actively sought him out. He understood she wanted to spend more time with her family since she had just returned, but it still left Jiang Yexun feeling insecure.
Su Xiaoxiao twirled around in his arms, stood on her tiptoes, and kissed his chin before playfully saying in a soft voice, "Of course I missed you! We were together every day before, and now it’s been so long since you last held me!"
Her sweet, tender voice melted Jiang Yexun’s heart, but it wasn’t just his heart that reacted. His body responded involuntarily, swelling with desire just from their simple affection.
He swallowed hard, unwilling to let go of the girl in his arms, and leaned down to place featherlight kisses on the tip of her nose.
"Then why didn’t you come find me, you heartless little thing?" he teased.
"You’ve been so busy with my brother, handling my dad’s affairs every day. How could I bother you?" Su Xiaoxiao pouted, feeling a little wronged.
Seeing how busy he and her brother were, she had been afraid that spending time with him might waste precious time. If they failed to resolve her dad’s issue in time, she would regret it deeply.
"Don’t worry. Not only have you caught some people, but I’ve also got some leads. I’m sure your dad’s situation will be resolved before the New Year," Jiang Yexun reassured her, his cool lips brushing lightly against her nose in a gentle caress.
Su Xiaoxiao, who was already defenseless against him, now felt her mouth go dry under his affectionate touch. And after hearing that there was hope for her father, she grew even more excited, grabbing Jiang Yexun’s belt and pulling him toward her.
Her enticing red lips were irresistible, and the man, already struggling to hold back, couldn’t resist such an invitation any longer. His eyes darkened, gleaming with a mysterious light, and with just a single glance, Su Xiaoxiao trembled all over.
"Can I kiss you?" Jiang Yexun whispered in her ear, his voice hoarse with desire.
Before Su Xiaoxiao could respond, his kisses fell on the spot behind her ear, one after another. He was patient, like a hunter gently coaxing his prey. Only when the girl had completely melted in his arms did his passionate lips land where he truly wanted them.
Su Xiaoxiao had tried to take the initiative at first, but she was no match for Jiang Yexun. After playing and teasing each other for quite a while, they finally stopped before things got out of hand.
Looking down at the flushed girl in his arms, Jiang Yexun tenderly stroked her rosy cheeks.
"Our wedding is less than 20 days away. If we finish renovating the house quickly, can we get married earlier?" he asked gently, trying to coax her.
"I’m okay with that! But I’m just worried that getting married might take two or three days and delay my dad’s case," Su Xiaoxiao replied. She wanted to get married soon but felt the tight schedule wasn’t enough.
Jiang Yexun kissed her lightly on the lips. "Don’t worry. I’ve already identified a few key people, and I should be able to wrap things up in a day or two. Your brother has also completed about a third of his investigation. Those people didn’t plan things too carefully, probably because they made decisions on the fly. They aren’t people you’d normally have contact with."
After all, what decent person would frequent an underground casino? If anyone in their circle knew someone involved, they would’ve reported them to the police long ago.
"Thank you for all your hard work," Su Xiaoxiao said, burying her head in Jiang Yexun’s chest and swaying playfully. If her father could really escape this predicament, she would owe him a huge debt of gratitude.
"It’s no trouble at all, pleasing my future in-laws. They’ve been so kind to me. Honestly, I was prepared for them to refuse me this time and figured I’d have to try again next year. If it weren’t for this situation, our marriage might not have been settled so easily," Jiang Yexun said with a light chuckle.
In truth, when Mr. and Mrs. Su agreed to their early marriage, it was partly because they were worried about what would happen to Su Xiaoxiao if they were imprisoned. They wanted her to marry into another family before anything bad happened, so she wouldn’t be affected.
"That wouldn’t have happened. Even if nothing was going on, my parents have seen how great you are during our long leave of absence. They would have agreed regardless," Su Xiaoxiao said confidently. She had complete faith in Jiang Yexun.
In her previous life, after she had gone off to college and brought him back home, her parents were convinced from their first meeting that following Jiang Yexun would lead to a happy future for her.
The older generation certainly had their wisdom. After seeing so much, they could spot a good man from a mile away.
After lunch, Jiang Yexun left with He Xingzhi. With nothing else to do, Su Xiaoxiao went into her personal space to harvest some medicinal herbs. In the afternoon, she focused on helping Aunt Guo supervise the workers as they renovated the house.
Since they were replacing the floors, stairs, windows, and doors, they had bought a lot of wooden boards. As Su Xiaoxiao sat watching them work, she suddenly had an idea.
She pulled a notebook and pen from her bag and sketched something before handing it to one of the workers who was planing the boards.
"Mister, could you help me make a few of these boards?" Su Xiaoxiao handed him the drawing.
The design was for two boards that could be combined, with twenty grooves lined up side by side in the middle. When the boards were put together, they formed a circle.
Su Xiaoxiao had just realized that if she had these boards, she could simply place the finished medicinal paste in the middle and roll it twice, creating twenty pills at once.
The craftsman looked at her design and frowned. "You want the grooves to be perfectly round?"
"Yes," Su Xiaoxiao nodded eagerly.
The craftsman furrowed his brow even more. "Making them perfectly round will take extra time."
"That’s fine. I’ll pay you extra for the work. I need three of these boards. How much would that cost?" Su Xiaoxiao offered, not wanting to take advantage of his labor without fair compensation.
Money wasn’t an issue for her, and she didn’t feel right about having him do double the work for the same pay.
Sure enough, when the craftsman heard she’d pay extra, his eyes lit up.
"Well, since you need three, how about fifty cents per board? I can have them ready by tomorrow morning."
"I don’t want the boards split in half. If they’re too thin, they’ll break easily. Can you use thick, sturdy boards for each one?" Su Xiaoxiao asked, still concerned.
The craftsman smiled and patted his chest. "Don’t worry, I’ll make sure to use thick, durable wood. These will last for years, even decades."
"Thanks! I’ll pay you tomorrow when you bring the boards," Su Xiaoxiao said with a smile, her eyes crinkling with joy.
Previously, they had to roll each pill by hand, one by one. But with these boards, she could roll twenty pills in the time it usually took to make just one. No more worrying about spending endless hours rolling pills or missing their delivery deadlines!
