[Executor...,] Blazejudicator paused while trying to figure out how to exactly phrase the shock he was feeling in the moment. [Why did you just agree to treat the man’s sealed cutlivation? You don’t even know how to do that normally.]

’No,’ Zhen Liu agreed.’But I’m pretty sure having you go in there and burning away whatever fetters are binding this guy’s cultivation would be child’s play to you... probably.’

[Me?]

’Dont worry, I’m going to be there to help you. That is, if this next part works the way I think it does...besides, we owe him for the core.’

...

Lythero kept his head low as he continued, more or less, to beg and wish.

He was begging that Zhen Liu would actually be able to help him, all while wishing that he would get a swift answer.

Thankfully, one of these things were about to get resolved...now.

^Yeah, alright,^ Zhen Liu nodded. ^I think I can do something like that.^

^You can?!^

^Emphasis on the word, "think", also stand up,^ Zhen Liu said before Lythero got too excited. ^For all either of us know, your seal could be something that requires incredibly rare and powerful aether materials to even scratch. The price might be too much for you to bear.

^I am aware of hardships and costs,^ Lythero said as he got up from the ground. ^You don’t need to tell me-^

^Are you sure about that?,^ Zhen Liu interjected while surprising Lythero.

^Whoa!^

The reason for Lythero’s sudden exclamation of surprise, was due to Zhen Liu opting to add a touch of dramatic flair to his interjection. More specifically, he decided to close the distance between himself and Lythero by sticking his face real close to the latter’s face. Not only that, but Zhen Liu decided to start releasing his [Chaos] aura to make everyone involved a little more honest.

It was at this moment, both participants of this conversation realized that they were much more alike than they thought.

They were both of mixed origins.

^Interesting...you have a bit of Umbral Spider mixed in,^ Zhen Liu commented as he noted the unusual eye color. ^Mother or father’s side?^

^Father’s, but I don’t know who he is.^

^Widow?^

^Prostitute.^

^Ah.^

^Wait, why did I tell you that?,^ Lythero paused as he realized he shared a bit more than what was necessary about his life. Thankfully(?), Zhen Liu was able to provide some clarification to Lythero’s befuddlement.

^Ah, that’s just an ability of mine,^ Zhen Liu said with a smile that reminded Lythero of a diabolic trickster spirit from old folk tales. ^I am able to cause people to forget things such as "decorum" and "etiquette" and force people to be more honest and more...chaotic.^

...Meanwhile, through a grainy video feed...

<It...it is causing me pain, that I am unable to to guess the exact words coming out of our Lord’s mouth...but I get the distinct feeling that he is making himself sound incredibly ridiculous,> Pathos complained while leaning against a wall, face first.

=Is it because our camera view is bobbing up and down? Or is it because we can see the Cheshire smile in this man’s eyeballs?,= Logos asked while taking several notes on what can be seen.

<Yes.>

...Now back to the other side...

^But enough about that,^ Zhen Liu continued. ^You want me to fix your cultivation seal? In that case, give me your arm.^

^Eh? Why?^

At this painfully obvious question posed by Lythero, Zhen Liu smirk turned into a small frown and an eye roll.

^You expect me to be able to check the seal on your cultivation without making physical contact?,^Zhen Liu asked in a mildly sarcastic tone. ^Now, don’t be coy and give it to me.^

...Meanwhile...

"Huh..."

"Hmmm? What’s wrong, Bellona?"

"I’m not sure why, Alicia, but I fet the distinct feeling I should be laughing at Zhen Liu right now..."

"That’s not that, wait-’at’? ’At’? Not ’by’ or ’about’?"

"Nope, at."

"But...why?"

"I don’t know..."

...Also...

[Why...do I have the distinct feeling that I should be shouting "phrasing" at top of my lungs right now?,] Hurricroak managed to grumble despite being face flat on the floor like a sad sack.

[Probably because you miss being able to annoy the producer with such jokes,] Screamira answered back, while making the exact same pose across from Hurricroak.

[Really?,] Razorstella chimed in. [I figured it’s because y’all were watching the limited feed we have of the director.]

[It’s working?!]

...Now back to the boys...

^Alright, alright, I’ll-hey!^

Finding Lythero to be moving too slow for his liking, Zhen Liu proceeded to grab the young man’s wrist and pull it towards himself in one smooth motion.

’Alright Blazejudicator, you’re up first.’

[As you command, Executor.]

Once the two were locked together, Zhen Liu proceeded to have Blazejudicator flow through his arm and into Lythero’s body. However, this wasn’t all that Zhen Liu did.

’Okay, now that Blazejudicator...blazed a trail...it’s my turn to follow. Let’s hope this works...’

While still in physical contact with Lythero, Zhen Liu began to channel his [Chaos] through the pathway that Blazejudicator created when he traveled down Zhen Liu’s arm to travel into Lythero’s body.

Zhen Liu had always wondered it looked like to possess someone like a Kaijin, but he knew he didn’t have the right body structure to do so.

Nor did Logos or Pathos know of anyway to do so.

Hell, even when he watches the other kaijin so it, he couldn’t get a clear understanding.

But then, Zhen Liu had a thought.

Maybe he couldn’t understand how they did it, because the kaijin were technically beings with pseudo-souls while he had a real soul.

So, what if he tried to copy the methodology of a Kaijin that was entirely spiritual?

’Okay, starting to pass through the skin...whoa, this feels weird.’

Unlike the other Kaijin, Blazejudicator was a spiritual body Kaijin that was attached to his soul, due to originally being a literal part of it as a temporary spiritual infection.

Meaning, on a technical level, both he and Zhen Liu had the same soul, so any methods Blazejudicator used that required him to be spiritual, Zhen Liu could mimic too...with the right adjustments.

And evidently...he was right.

As Zhen Liu continued to channel his energy into Lythero, his perception of reality was starting to get a little...hazy.

’Here we go...’

Eventually, Zhen Liu felt a familiar sinking feeling he would get when he would sync with the kaijin. However, instead of falling inwards like normal, he felt himself falling outwards.

Travelling down a tunnel of fire...

...One trip down the rabbit hole later...

Eventually, Zhen Liu’s consciousness returned to being in focus and he realized that he was now inside of Lythero’s soul. At least, he thought that was the case since he was now staring at the back of a rather tense feeling Blazejudicator.

That said, Zhen Liu could understand why.

’Huh...this place feels desolate...but I’m not sure why...,’ Zhen Liu noted as he looked around Lythero’s soul space.

Based on the prior records Zhen Liu had access to when the other kaijin hopped into other people’s souls, the interior appearance of their souls didn’t really reflect a person, rather, it was the flow of aether through it.

Right now, the inside of Lythero’s soul looked a bit like a strangely dry grassland that showed evidence of once being lush jungle.

A jungle that was slash and burned into nothingness.

On top of that, Zhen Liu could feel that the flow of aether in this landscape felt...off.

Slow.

As if the pathways that would normally run rich with aether were dammed up in various ways, allowing only small trickles of aether to flow.

’Maybe this is how a cultivation seal works?,’ Zhen Liu speculated as he looked around for another moment before running up to Blazejudicator’s side

Evidently, Zhen Liu’s speculation was more accurate than he had thought.

[Hey, Blazejudicator. What got you looking like you’re staring at the end of the world?,] Zhen Liu asked in an attempt to dispel the tension in the air.

[A cultivation seal that looks like something out of a Lovecraftian horror novel.]

[Beg pardon?]

Instead of repeating himself, Blazejudicator simply redirected Zhen Liu’s eyes towards the aforementioned seal.

[I...whoa.]

Needless to say, Blazejudicator’s description wasn’t wrong.

[Well, that explains the jank.]

Before Zhen Liu’s eyes, a giant pulsating mass made of dark flesh stood proud and tall like a demented tree.

[Is...is that how it actually looks, or...]

[I think it’s a shared perspective illusion.]

[Ah.]

...

<Wait a minute...I recognize that seal...,> Pathos mumbled while staring at the intricate aether sealing array that appeared in their monitor.

=As do I...well, I think I do anyways. Something about it feels off.=

<I think it’s a regional adaptation of something. We still have access to the aether seal section of the library, right?>

=Most of it.=
