Chapter 32: Chapter 32 As-You-Will Kitchen Knife

Thinking of this, Sun Wukong pushed the Dragon King aside and walked towards the Sea-Calming Divine Needle, touching it with his hand, he inexplicably felt a blood connection, as if this pillar was naturally meant to be his.

"It’s too big!" Sun Wukong couldn’t help but lament, it didn’t seem easy to move this thing.

No sooner had he spoken than the Sea-Calming Divine Needle instantly transformed into a size that Sun Wukong could grasp with one hand.

"It can shrink, too? Impressive! I wonder if it can turn into a kitchen knife, otherwise, it can only become a rolling pin."

The monkey muttered to himself.

So, to Ao Guang’s disbelief, the Sea-Calming Divine Needle actually turned into a kitchen knife!

"Not bad, not bad." Seeing the Sea-Calming Divine Needle had become what he wanted, he felt a surge of joy.

Then he saw the characters on the handle and frowned, "This won’t do, I still think ’As-You-Will Kitchen Knife’ suits better."

No sooner had Sun Wukong finished speaking, the characters also changed accordingly.

What a treasure!

Sun Wukong was overjoyed, quickly taking it into his hands to play with. The weight of over ten thousand catties seemed like nothing, having no effect on Sun Wukong whatsoever.

Is this... the Magical Treasure choosing its master automatically?

Ao Guang’s eyes widened in shock, exclaiming in his heart, this kind of recognition by a Magical Treasure only happened when it extremely approved of its master!

Overcome with excitement, the injuries he sustained from the fierce battle with the Carp Spirit made him cough violently.

Sun Wukong came back to his senses, looked at the awful-looking Ao Guang, and asked in confusion, "Old Dragon King, what happened to you?"

"It’s nothing; cough, cough, I just fought with a demon earlier and got injured," the Old Dragon King said, waving his hand.

"Injured?" Sun Wukong’s mind stirred as he remembered what Chen Nuo said about the effects of the Flat Peach.

The Old Dragon King has been so generous; as a neighbor, I, Old Sun, should also lend a hand.

With a wave of his hand, a huge and ripe peach appeared in front of Ao Guang.

Ao Guang instinctively took it, and with a gentle breath, just that act alone seemed to relieve both his body and spirit, and his injuries were healed as well.

Ao Guang’s mouth opened wide, his hands trembling slightly, "This... this is a Flat Peach!"

"Then take it, this is what my master called a ’nine-thousand-year Flat Peach’, I remember him saying it has healing properties," said Sun Wukong, tucking the As-You-Will Kitchen Knife at his waist.

Nine thousand years!!

Ao Guang’s breath hitched, nearly fainting on the spot.

"Immortal, this mustn’t be done!" Ao Guang’s lips quivered, but his eyes still couldn’t bear to look away, the Innate Spiritual Root Flat Peach was unique to the Queen Mother!

He had been Dragon King for so long and had never been qualified for an invitation to the Queen Mother’s Flat Peach Feast.

Not to mention having eaten one.

If he hadn’t once seen, from a distance, a three-thousand-year Flat Peach, he wouldn’t be able to recognize it.

"If I tell you to take it, just take it. Eat it to heal your wounds, and you’ve given me this treasure, right? It’s called exchanging gifts," Sun Wukong said nonchalantly.

In his understanding, over the years, his master’s backyard has been filled with Flat Peach trees planted by him, and they mature every year. Although their effects are incredibly amazing, they are by no means rare.

The Dragon King gave a wry smile. Even if you gave nothing, we would still need to offer gifts!

The Flat Peach was precious and just what he needed.

Ao Guang didn’t refuse any further and respectfully expressed his thanks, "Thank you, Immortal!"

After saying that, he carefully put it away.

"Eh? Why aren’t you eating it?"

Sun Wukong asked in confusion.

Ao Guang said with a bow, "Immortal, you may not be aware, but I have three brothers who were also injured by demons, so I thought to call them over so we can share it and eat it together."

With this nine-thousand-year-old Flat Peach, not only could they recover from their injuries, but it was also possible for them to improve their cultivation as the Four Seas Dragon Kings!

Sun Wukong mused with a touch of admiration, "You brothers are truly united in heart!"

Ao Guang forced a wry smile and said no more.

Indeed, if the Dragon Clan didn’t tighten their bonds, they would soon be no better than fish on the chopping block.

Sun Wukong rummaged around and produced seven more flat peaches, stuffing them all into Ao Guang’s arms at once.

"Why split a single peach, so petty, here, I, Old Sun, will give you a few more!"

After all, he had plenty of them, his master’s influence had its limits, and there were places where peach trees couldn’t be planted beyond those limits.

Although he didn’t know why, what his master said was certainly right.

Before leaving, he had planted the backyard full, but giving away eight nine-thousand-year-old flat peaches was plainly the act of a prodigal!

If Chen Nuo found out, he would definitely give Sun Wukong a thrashing.

Ao Guang was stunned, this wasn’t a dream, was it?!

"Old Dragon King?"

Seeing Ao Guang’s dazed expression, Sun Wukong waved his hand, snapping him back to reality.

Ao Guang instantly shuddered, carefully stored away the flat peaches, and knelt on the ground to kowtow to Sun Wukong.

"Rise quickly!" Sun Wukong was startled, to him it wasn’t a big deal.

He reached out and pulled Ao Guang to his feet, Ao Guang wanted to continue, but he simply couldn’t kneel down again as Sun Wukong’s hand made it impossible for him to break free.

Ao Guang inwardly sighed with admiration at this display of vast divine skills.

"For this rebirth-like favor, I, the Old Dragon, on behalf of the Four Seas Dragon Clan, give thanks!" Ao Guang said from the bottom of his heart.

Before, he was only agreeing to tasks assigned by Buddhism, but now, he truly meant it.

"A matter of great importance, please allow me to summon my three brothers," said Ao Guang with another bow, and went to strike the Iron-boned Golden Bell.

Soon after, the Three Seas Dragon Kings arrived and upon hearing Ao Guang’s recount, were overjoyed and broke into broad smiles.

It was indeed a huge opportunity for their Dragon Clan.

The four dragons sincerely thanked Sun Wukong.

"I, the Little Dragon, didn’t bring much with me this time, so I offer this Golden Chain Mail to you, Immortal!" the West Sea Dragon King Ao Run said respectfully.

Upon these words, the other two dragons took out their Purple Gold Crowns and Cloud-Stepping Boots, completing a full set of armor for Sun Wukong.

Sun Wukong felt a bit awkward; such attire would make cooking inconvenient, but the Four Seas Dragon Kings insisted so earnestly that he had to accept.

"You need not thank me, if anything, thank my master!" Sun Wukong rubbed his head, finding such lavish praise somewhat uncomfortable.

Usually, it was he who wholeheartedly praised his master’s cooking skills.

"May I inquire, who is your master, Immortal?" asked Ao Guang, unable to hold back his curiosity.

Who could casually produce so many flat peaches, and what sort of deity might they be?

"I, Old Sun, hail from Mount Fangcun in the Mountain of Mind and Heart, Chaos Residence, studying under Chen Nuo, Real Person Chen!"

The four dragons looked completely baffled. They knew of Mount Fangcun, but who were Chaos Residence and Real Person Chen?

"The flat peaches are grown in my master’s Chaos Residence," Sun Wukong rubbed his head as he spoke.

Immediately, the Four Seas Dragon Kings’ were struck dumb, astounded that aside from the Queen Mother, there was another power within the Three Realms capable of growing flat peach trees!

This certainly wasn’t someone from Buddhism!

Having recovered, Ao Guang couldn’t help but feel moved; as the leader of the Four Seas Dragon Kings, he was privy to much knowledge.

"By the way, Old Dragon King, your subordinates haven’t been paid their salary for some time. Remember to see to that," Sun Wukong suddenly recalled what he had promised the Shrimp Soldiers and Crab Generals.

"Sure, sure," Ao Guang was befuddled again. Though he had no clue how Sun Wukong knew, he readily agreed all the same.

Seeing that matters were nearly concluded, Sun Wukong took his leave from the Four Seas Dragon Kings.

Ignorant of the Dragon Kings’ entreaties and their dinner invitations, Sun Wukong departed.
