Chapter 1993: Chapter 2012: Blood Oath Alliance

Although Yusuf Zuck said he would lay down his responsibilities in a hundred years, in reality, he still had to be accountable to the Longevity Empire, which is why he sent Parker Berger to list those demon cultivators as part of the century-long plan.

There were quite a few demon cultivators in the Longevity Realm, as well as spirit cultivators, etc., all of which he could firmly suppress. Even a super Longevity or top-tier Longevity cultivator could be easily subdued by him.

Parker Berger had a very fast work efficiency and came to see Yusuf Zuck at the crack of dawn the next day, placing a memorandum hastily prepared overnight on Yusuf Zuck’s desk.

When Yusuf Zuck opened the memorandum, he saw that there were nearly a thousand known and famous demon cultivators, including more than a dozen in the Senior Longevity Realm.

However, they were very scattered; some ruled as kings over mountains, some dwelled in remote areas, some were in secret seclusion, and so on.

"Very good, very good indeed." Yusuf Zuck flicked the memorandum with his finger and said, "Starting today, I may not always be in the palace. I must collect monsters, so I need you to handle household affairs."

"Your Majesty, please be careful." Parker Berger knew he couldn’t control or persuade Yusuf Zuck, so he could only advise caution.

"Hm, I’ll head to Red Cedar City first, it’s relatively close to Transient City, just a four-hour journey." Holding the memorandum, Yusuf Zuck wasted no words and left Transient City, swiftly making his way to Red Cedar City.

Red Cedar City, located to the west of Transient City, was a place he could reach in four hours with his speed, allowing for a round trip in a morning.

Previously, Red Cedar City was a stronghold for demon cultivators, and it was rumored to be named after a demon cultivator named Ollie Nelson.

This demon cultivator’s true form was a giant red cedar tree that somehow became enlightened and attained the Dao. During a recent Longevity Realm outbreak, he broke through and achieved senior longevity and further transformation, reaching the Senior Longevity Realm. He commanded the Eight Great Vajras, who were also demon cultivators.

Red Cedar City is now as fortified as a steel barrel. Yusuf Zuck’s Longevity Empire had once submitted a national letter, demanding surrender, but reportedly, Ollie Nelson burned the letter in front of the envoy and told them to inform Yusuf Zuck that he was a king and so was Ollie Nelson and that Red Cedar City always welcomed an attack from the Longevity Empire.

However, Yusuf Zuck had been too busy recently and lacked skilled warriors, so most military forces had been deployed to the Eastern Front for battles.

Red Cedar City was thus put on hold, and Yusuf Zuck hadn’t yet found time to wipe them out.

Now things were different; Yusuf Zuck decided to start with Red Cedar, according to the list.

...

Four hours later, Red Cedar City.

Yusuf Zuck once again disguised himself, transforming into a scholar-like figure, dressed in a white robe and holding a white paper fan. Upon entering Red Cedar City, he walked directly toward Redwood Palace.

Redwood Palace was vastly different from human architectural palaces because it was a giant tree, a red cedar tree, thicker than a small town, with hidden chambers inside, where the Redwood Palace resided.

Legend had it that it was incredibly safe inside. Those living in the red cedar tree did not have to worry about their safety, and anyone trying to infiltrate the palace would be immediately discovered by the Red Cedar King, for the tree itself was him; entering Redwood Palace was akin to stepping inside his belly.

This time, Yusuf Zuck did not plan to sneak in because the tree was clearly the heart of the Red Cedar King. Sneaking in could very well mean getting discovered.

Since stealth infiltration was not an option, he would enter boldly, without deceit.

He arrived at Redwood Palace, outside the giant tree’s hollow.

"Pardon me, Stone Quay, seeking to join Red Cedar King; please inform him!" Yusuf Zuck said politely.

"Sir, please wait. We will notify him at once." Red Cedar City was recruiting talents, openly inviting Longevity experts, be they human or demon cultivators; as long as they joined Red Cedar King and fought alongside him to conquer the world, they were friends.

Of course, pledging allegiance wasn’t just a matter of a few words; it seemed there were tests to pass. Otherwise, if sent by the enemy, it would be disastrous—hence a series of procedures had to be followed after entering Redwood Palace.

Sure enough, shortly after, a sharp, monkey-faced figure, whose face bore resemblance to a rat, rushed out.

Upon emerging, this figure immediately squinted at Yusuf Zuck, while seemingly channeling spiritual power through the air, enveloping his entire body.

Yusuf Zuck remained motionless, smiling cheerfully.

"Hmm?" The monkey-face gave a small exclamation. He possessed a unique skill: mind reading, serving as the first test. Once he had read the mind, entry into Redwood Palace was permitted.

However, he failed this time, for he couldn’t read Stone Quay’s inner thoughts or sense his heart’s waves.

"Sir, please wait a moment." The sharp, monkey-face seemed unwilling to decide on his own accord, giving a slight bow towards Yusuf Zuck before using a jade simple to relay the information he had gathered.

Just seconds later, the jade simple flashed brightly, indicating communication from within, after which he gestured for Yusuf Zuck to follow, "Mr. Stone, please come with me."

The two proceeded one after another, entering the tree hollow.

At the instant Yusuf Zuck stepped inside, his view underwent a sudden transformation. Within the tree hollow lay another world—blue seas and skies, green mountains and waters, tranquil and harmonious dwellings, in the distance grand palaces, cranes soaring through the air, and warriors with mighty builds training, and much more. The atmosphere here was exceptionally pleasant.

The two rose into the sky, flying toward the palaces. At this time, Yusuf Zuck sensed a stream of divine consciousness scanning him unabashedly, seeping into his pores, meticulously observing him inside and out.

Moments later, they arrived outside a massive palace where dozens of figures were seated. At the center of the hall sat a man in black feathered attire and a green crown!

"Oh, wearing a green hat on purpose," Yusuf Zuck mused internally.

"Enter, the visitors," someone inside loudly announced.

Yusuf Zuck adjusted his attire and boldly strode inside.

The dozen or so figures in the hall were all Longevity Realm cultivators, with the two most powerful ones in the High Realm, among them seven or eight at the Intermediate Longevity level.

Only those in the Longevity Realm were eligible to become members here.

"Halt, visitor." When Yusuf Zuck reached the center of the hall, a steward-like figure stepped forward, scrutinizing Yusuf Zuck from head to toe, saying, "State your name, visitor."

"I am Stone Quay, hailing from Tenyan City, a loose cultivator, and my true form is the Heavenly Spirit Light."

"What? You’re also a demon cultivator?"

"But I don’t sense any demonic aura from you."

"What’s going on?"

"Visitor Stone Quay, please explain why you lack a demonic aura," the steward loudly asked.

"I am merely a condensed light; how could a small ray of light have a demonic aura?"

"Uh..."

"Visitor Stone Quay, please revert to your true form. This isn’t meant as disrespect; it’s a necessary step. Once you pass the test, we will treat you as an honored guest, forge bonds in blood, and share glory and prosperity!"

"Very well, no problem at all!" Yusuf Zuck’s body shrank, transforming into an imperceptible Parasitic Light.

"What a tiny light, almost indiscernible!"

"Amazing, no energy fluctuations at all."

"With this light, infiltration into enemy lines is possible."

Everyone praised continuously because Yusuf Zuck’s Parasitic Light was indeed nearly undetectable; if Yusuf Zuck hadn’t mentioned it, they might not have seen it!

At this moment, on the throne above the hall, Ollie Nelson burst into hearty laughter, "Miraculous light, miraculous indeed." This was his heart’s haven; hence he saw Stone Quay’s transformation clearly.

"Steward, prepare the final task. Once completed, this king and Brother Stone Quay shall forge bonds in blood!"
