Invisible Security Guard-Chapter 1992 - 2011: The Century Plan
Yusuf Zuck, upon seeing Cheryl Mills so tense, immediately explained, "Sister Cheryl, I didn’t mean anything else, I was just asking."
"Please forgive me, I have nothing to disclose. If there’s nothing else, I shall return." Cheryl Mills’ attitude was resolute, as if Elijah Burch was a big secret.
In fact, in Cheryl Mills’ heart, Elijah Burch indeed was a big secret, because she was the Prince’s woman. Perhaps the Prince hadn’t made any substantial progress with her, but the Prince showered her with love and affection. It was said that during the years before the Prince disappeared, he spent every day together with Elijah Burch.
So exactly what the relationship was between Elijah Burch and the Prince remained unclear to Cheryl Mills, but she was certain Elijah Burch knew too many of the Prince’s secrets. Whatever Yusuf Zuck wanted to inquire about, she had no desire to answer.
Seeing Cheryl Mills’ determination, Yusuf Zuck shrugged his shoulders and stopped questioning.
He could have used the Eye of Insight to uncover Cheryl Mills’ inner thoughts, but... it was unnecessary.
Elijah Burch hadn’t proactively sought him out, which already indicated something.
Time is a good medicine, capable of making people forget everything, indifferent to everything. Perhaps Yusuf Zuck had long faded away from Elijah Burch’s heart, so there was no need to know so much.
Besides, he currently had other matters to attend to. The romance with Elijah Burch wasn’t part of his future plans; after all, Elijah Burch wasn’t his woman.
"Sister Cheryl, I still say this: if you encounter any difficulties or need help, Yusuf Zuck would not hesitate to do anything for you." Yusuf Zuck also stood up because Cheryl Mills was about to leave and he didn’t intend to linger much longer.
This woman had an aura that seemed to reject people from thousands of miles away; perhaps it was because she herself wasn’t human, originally a spirit transformed from snow and ice, which made Yusuf Zuck unable to comprehend what was on her mind.
However, Cheryl Mills’ assistance this time was indeed a righteous act. From this aspect, one couldn’t fault her character, and thus, Yusuf Zuck couldn’t randomly use insight on someone who genuinely helped him, as it would be impolite.
"Prince, I must bid adieu." Cheryl Mills bowed to Yusuf Zuck and stepped forward, disappearing instantly in the Transient City.
Meanwhile, Yusuf Zuck returned to his throne, seated alone in contemplation.
The current situation was that unifying the Transit Realm might not be something achievable overnight. After all, the Transit Realm was vast, with many unknown masters. Even if he established a grand Longevity Empire, unifying an entire realm, unifying such a large transit space might take hundreds, if not thousands or tens of thousands of years!
Bear in mind, there were many unknowns in the inland regions of the Transit Realm, let alone the Four Wild Barbarian Areas?
His troops were numerous, but skilled masters were few. He could only proceed slowly and strategically.
Yet, he didn’t have that much time to waste on unifying any realm. Initially, he had not planned to remain King forever; he only wanted to attain the status of Dao Lord.
Unfortunately, even though he became Dao Lord now, he was unable to extricate himself because he had already gathered so many people under him, so many pursuing the unification cause, and the unification dream. If he left, it would be equivalent to abandoning them all, potentially harming everyone.
But he would have to leave sooner or later; he was someone who admired freedom, unfettered and unconstrained. To face endless memorials, endless conventions, endless wars every day—he truly couldn’t do it.
Besides, a hundred years down the line, he wanted to reunite with his brothers on Earth, he wanted to go home and didn’t plan on coming back, didn’t plan on running around everywhere anymore. He wished to go home, live with his brothers, and enjoy a happy life.
Therefore, at least after a hundred years, he had to leave; there were only a hundred years or so left in the Transit Realm.
"Additionally, within these hundred years, I must find Big Bull, find Rene Brennan, find Kenji May and them. I can’t go back alone. If I return, it must be with all my family, and if possible, even bring Kenji May along because once I return, I won’t come out again."
Yusuf Zuck walked down from the throne, pacing in circles in the grand hall. So many things needed to be done, yet he had no clue where to start.
"Someone, get someone, summon Peter here." Yusuf Zuck shouted towards the hall’s exterior.
"Yes." Guards outside the hall acknowledged the order and immediately went to summon Peter.
After a moment, Peter returned. Last time in the Gluttonous Beast’s temple, he suffered quite a bit and hadn’t yet recovered.
He lost his vital energy, his body was hollowed out, and neither Mana nor wonders could immediately restore him. He must rest and nurture his mind and spirit.
"Feeling better?" Yusuf Zuck asked with a smile.
"More or less, master. What do you need me for?"
"Still the same matter." Yusuf Zuck said gravely, "Take the most elite intelligence agencies of the Empire and search the world for the people. Find Big Bull, find Rene Brennan, find Kenji May and the others. They should be in some secret mystical locations or sanctuaries. List all the sanctuary locations, and search the ancient books. Then go search each one. I give you a hundred years; if you can’t find them in a hundred years, come back and report empty-handed."
"Yes, master, rest assured. If I can’t find the mistress, can’t find the young master, Peter will take off his head and let you kick it like a ball. I’ll surely find them this time." Peter promised.
"Go ahead, use whatever people, whatever departments you need, and act independently. This is my waist badge." Yusuf Zuck handed his waist badge to Peter. This badge represents him, and whether an imperial minister or an ordinary soldier, in seeing this badge, they must kneel. Peter could use this badge to mobilize the army, and various Princes.
"Understood, master, Peter is leaving." Peter accepted it, turned around, and left.
As soon as Peter left, Yusuf Zuck instructed to summon Parker Berger.
Parker Berger was also busy because Transient City was in turmoil today, so upon arrival and saluting, he directly asked Yusuf Zuck about the issue.
"Still the matter of the throne." Yusuf Zuck rubbed his temples and said, "Don’t rush to object; I must abdicate in a hundred years, so you need to come up with a solution for the whole world. Otherwise, don’t blame me for escaping alone and leaving the Empire to you."
"Ah?" Upon hearing this, Parker Berger’s face turned green. What was the Prince planning now? Being the Longevity Prince was splendid; the world’s authority was all in your hands. Whatever you want, you can have it. Others could only dream of it!
How many people in the world admired him? How many wanted to seize his throne? Yet, he himself always clamored not to do it—wasn’t this looking for trouble!
"Don’t, ah—ah—ah me, I’m serious because a hundred years later, I want to live in my hometown as an ordinary person."
"Alright, let me think about it, there’s still a hundred years, perhaps we can come up with a perfect plan." Parker Berger nodded heavily.
"By the way, one more thing: when you return, list all the high-level Demon Cultivators in the Transit Realm, above the Longevity realm, all of them, including their forces, locations, etc."
"Yes." Parker Berger didn’t know what Yusuf Zuck meant but still nodded to show he would promptly do it.
