After our yet another scrumptious dinner, I updated Arthur and Void on what have happened during my absence and shared the good news of three new babies added in the family. Surprisingly, there was sincere happiness in their faces upon hearing my stories. It seems that a sign of relief was also mixed on to it since nobody died and I guess, it proves my capability of making sure my husbands get through the childbirth safely even with multiple babies in the mix. Nothing beats the feeling of security and safety indeed.
Arthur also shared some of the things he has heard around the academe during the time that I was away. He only remembered to share it now since we have been both busy with our own affairs and too much has been happening for the past couple of months on my side.
According to Arthur, it seems that some of my batchmates were complaining about how I received preferential treatment as I have been allowed a long absence last time. They also mentioned that I had two more instances when I left my classes and only returned the next day but I did not get in trouble.
In summary, they are simply demanding the same benefit by forcing the academe to show proof that they are not biased towards me. The grandmaster has chosen not to respond to such pettiness and nosiness but the student affairs office immediately released an official response to shut them all up.
The official response simply stated that the only approved reason for a student to be allowed a prolonged absence was either due to having to go through a marriage, death in the family, a child being born to the student’s household or the student having urgent health concerns that needed specialists outside the academe for a cure. As for the reason of my absence, they stated that it is not for the academe to divulge it as a respect to the student’s privacy and it is up to me if I wanted to share it with others.
To prove their point, they challenged all students that if any of the reasons for allowable prolonged absences happen to their lives and they have documentation to prove it, they will be allowed the same leave benefit. As a final point, the student affairs office also said that I have already completed all required classes and the academe is only waiting for me to complete the last immersion requirement for me to graduate.
The series of announcements have silenced most of the rumblings and complaints but the other students still couldn’t help but be curious as to which out of those four possible reasons happened in my life recently. Well, anyone with common sense should rule out death in the family since we are all transmigrators here. I do not have any intention of sharing my affairs to anyone except my men and my trusted people though so good luck on them guessing which one is it.
After our little chat, Arthur was next seen running back to his room after yours truly stole a goodnight kiss from him. I returned with Void to his room to rest while chuckling in amusement.
After a couple of weeks since his pregnancy was confirmed, Void’s need for sustenance has dramatically increased. Thinking that he is sustaining three lives in total, I made it a point to be near him most of the time. As for this evening, we honestly just slept in a cuddle, much to the frustration of the man in my arms.
The next morning, the three of us all ate breakfast early since I have some errands outside the academe, particularly, the royal palace. I was actually just planning to do changes in my family register in the family registration office but I realized that I have to consult my in-laws first about it and honestly, the staff in the palace are just more efficient overall when it comes to completing legal documents swiftly.
I arrived in the palace in the middle of the afternoon through teleportation straight inside the private quarters assigned to me as a princess. Yes, you read that right. Much to my disapproval since I am not interested in the title, I still got the room for such rank since I did marry a prince if you think about it.
As I appeared inside my room, I immediately felt four distinct auras approaching my room in a quick pace. Oh, yeah, I forgot to tell you. My husbands in the palace have already completed their deification so their senses have been improved and heightened many folds compared to that of a normal human’s
As I opened my bedroom door, there were already four men waiting for me by the corridor. They were all leaning on the wall in their own chosen spots, seemingly waiting for me to appear. This whole situation was brought about as this GPs-like tracking is one of the effects of the resonance and their deification.
I greeted the five guys formally and continued walking towards the drawing room of my in-laws since they are the first ones I have to consult. Due to the expansive area of the palace, it took several minutes before I reached my destination and it is not like I can run along the corridors of a palace. It is definitely against royal etiquette and though they let me teleport directly inside my room, teleporting within the palace grounds while not being a royal mage is not allowed unless during emergency situations.
I knocked politely on the door of my in-laws’ drawing room and announced my identity. The attendants inside immediately opened the door to welcome me only to be almost scared to death with the entourage of five people following me inside the room. The staff started to frantically prepare more refreshments, food and more attendants inside the drawing room.
Once inside the room, I sat on the part of the cushions that is the nearest to my in-laws. I also greeted them with a smile on my face and checked on their health and how was the effects of the pills I have given for deification. They said that the pain was unbearable during the first week but it disappeared like it was just an illusion afterwards. They assured me that they are now taking them like any ordinary health supplement.
