Chapter 192: Fight Me (2)

The setting was ideal for a fight, even if both went all out, no one would be implicated other than the wandering monsters. ๐’‡๐™ง๐™š๐“ฎ๐™ฌ๐™š๐“ซ๐’๐“ธ๐“ฟ๐“ฎ๐’.๐“ฌ๐™ค๐“ถ

Rise increased the pressure surrounding him, and its influence heightened. The unfortunate flying monsters that stumbled upon his forcefield suddenly found themselves unable to fly foraward and their bodies descended before being crushed to the ground.

Before their blood splattered, the wind roared, and any remains were swept away. The wind materialized into blades as they hung in mid-air, pointing at Rise.

Rise glanced at them before returning to Kamille, who had an incomprehensible expression. He merely smiled and lifted his hand, as though visible to the naked eye, the forcefield from around his feet spread and engulfed a large part of the area around them.

In an instant, unable to stand the heavy pressure, the monsters around the area exploded. Their blood painted the cracked earth red.

Kamille also felt the heavy pressure imposed upon him; he froze where he stood.

"How about it, Guild Leader?" Rise laughed and soon his figure blurred, then suddenly appeared in front of Kamille, his fist reinforced by the forcefield attacked without a word.

Kamille shot a brow, and like a mirror, his body shattered, immediately appearing behind Rise. His hand reached out, wanting to grab Riseโ€™s shoulders, but was interrupted by a heavier force, and his handโ€™s movements became painfully slow.

Rise turned around and smirked at him, "Too slow, Guild Leader."

In no time, he twisted his body around, punching Kamille with an equal force as earlier, but once again, his fist met air. Kamille slipped and reappeared a few steps from him.

Rise blinked, unsurprised.

"As expected of the master of wind himself. Even inside my forcefield, youโ€™re able to move like the wind, ignoring heavy restrictions." Rise commended. He sounded proud even.

In Kamilleโ€™s ears, they sounded a little different. Riseโ€™s words were like sarcastic remarks, making his brow furrow slightly. He was not used to this kind of Rise but at the same time, he was beginning to find this version interesting as well.

"Are you sure you want to fight me?" Instead of answering Riseโ€™s provocations, Kamille asked as though giving Rise another chance to back out.

Rise understood the underlying meaning, but he only laughed, eyes narrowing into a slit as a result. He did not directly answer; his body disappeared again and then reappeared behind Kamille.

The wind blades happened to touch his body, ripping the cloak he was wearing, but not enough to graze his skin. Kamille also noticed it; his expression changed slightly, and he became distracted for a second.

As a result, Rise successfully imprisoned Kamille in his embrace, albeit with such heavy force in his hands. Still, the thought of finally hugging his beloved sent a shiver down his spine.

How he missed this.

Kamille could not budge this time, even if he wanted to. Rise suddenly withdrew the forcefield around them and concentrated on the area around where the two stood, making the forcefield more potent.

Anyone would struggle to free themselves from Riseโ€™s grip.

Riseโ€™s mouth curved into a charming smile. His breath brushed against Kamilleโ€™s neck.

"Got you, Guild Leader." His voice carried a mischievous undertone. "Now, I won?"

Kamille did not react or respond for a while. He let Rise imprison him in his arms and felt the lingering sensation for longer.

A minute later, and he had yet to respond, but Rise furrowed his brows. He looked down, and sure enough, his feet had already left the ground.

Kamille used the wind to guide their bodies upward, now a few meters above ground. In this situation, while Rise had the other hostage, technically, Kamille was doing the same.

"What are you doing?" Rise asked, not letting go. And he could not do so, or he would plummet downward.

In most cases, he was not worried, as he could use his forcefield to cushion his descent. And also, he was aware that Kamille would not let him fall.

However, Rise had concentrated his forcefield in a close area and reinforced his arms this time, making it hard for him to sustain any critical injuries on his fall. Kamille was also not someone he had won over by this time, as well and was even mad at him.

As he was thinking about this, they continued to ascend as though Kamille wanted to make sure Rise would fall into his death once he let go.

"Hey," Rise laughed, a little nervous. He went too far, again, didnโ€™t he? "Weโ€™re... just fooling around, right?"

Actually, the fight was not exactly a fight where life was on the line, no wounds or blood were shed, and so no enmity should have sprouted yet. And Rise would never think of hurting his beloved for real.

Rise only loved the idea of flirting with Kamille while fighting, and maybe took advantage of the situation to touch the latter like an embrace.

"Is that how it is for you?" Kamille asked. Rise could not see his expression as he was embracing him from behind.

Rise cursed himself hundreds of times in his head and nodded.

"Of course..."

This answer seemed to trigger Kamille further as they continued to ascend until they were almost at the same area of the clouds.

Rise pissed off Kamille so badly. He was panicking inside. Even in the 5 years, they became ambiguous with each other, or the last time, Kamille never took him this far!

It was over. If he fell at this height, forget about cushioning his body for a bad descent. Rise would surely die no matter what.

Slowly, they finally stopped. At this height, the wind became present, and the chill surrounded Riseโ€™s body. He was still embracing Kamille, but it was a normal one.

Due to nervousness, Rise withdrew his ability, and so his forcefield could not be felt anymore. In exchange, a whirlwind surrounded them as if a shield or a prison.

Rise gulped, somehow... calming down.

"Iโ€™m waiting..." Kamilleโ€™s voice finally sounded. His tone was calm, but Rise could not help but frown hearing them. "I plan to wait."

Riseโ€™s heart skipped a beat. His pupils were trembling as he listened without a word. Kamilleโ€™s words were almost rambling, with no supposed meaning. However, Rise could sense something within.

Wait... this tone...

He could feel recognition. Suddenly, his mouth parted, his eyes widening.

"Wait..." A thought he overlooked suddenly flashed across his mind, and Kamilleโ€™s change of behavior around him dawned on him.

Kamille did not seem to mind whatever Rise realized.

Unbeknownst to Rise, Kamilleโ€™s right eye had long since turned crimson, and at the bottom of his eyes, extending to his cheeks, were dark crimson roots like veins that appeared, making his whole face terrifying and eerie.
