I Was Transmigrated As An Extraordinary Extra-Chapter 79
Chapter 79: Chapter 79
But where was she now? And more importantly, where were Ezekiel and Edge?
Ignoring the pain as best she could, Remillia forced herself to sit up, taking in her surroundings. The room was small but comfortable, with a sturdy wooden bed beneath her and a table nearby holding a pitcher of water and a bowl of fruit. The air smelled faintly of herbs, the kind often used in healing salves.
She remembered the notifications she received. Might be the best time, she’ll open it.
[Congratulations on your first ever kill of an Apex grade monster!]
[Poison Purification - You developed a unique resistance to poison, allowing you to ignore the effects of high-level poisons. You are now more resistant to the debilitating effects of poison.]
[Electrical Surge - You have gained the ability to absorb electrical damage and convert it into a temporary boost to your speed and agility.]
[Electric Shock - You have gained the ability to release an electrical shock, stunning all enemies within a medium radius and dealing moderate damage.]
She was smiling and laughing all by herself when she didn’t hear the door creaking open.
"Why do you look like that? It’s as if you’re planning to kill someone."
"Aaack!"
Remillia turned her head quickly, wincing again as the movement aggravated her wound when Archmage Gusion came inside.
"Finally you snapped back to yourself," the archmage said, his tone filled with relief. "Please, don’t strain yourself. You still need to be healed."
"Where am I?" Remillia asked, her voice hoarse. "What happened after... after the fight?"
"You’re in a medical ward," the archmage explained, setting the tray filled with supplies down on the table. "You were brought here after the battle with that terrible creature. You’ve been unconscious for a day and a half."
"A day and a half?" Remillia echoed, surprised. She had no idea she’d been out for so long. "And how about the others, are they alright?"
"They’re safe," the archmage reassured her with a gentle smile. "The two who fought with you were exhausted and injured, just like you, but they’re going to be fine. They’re in the next room, resting. Meanwhile the other two were fine, they just seemed traumatized upon seeing the monster."
Remillia exhaled a sigh of relief, the tension in her shoulders easing slightly. "Thank you," she murmured, grateful that they had all made it through the ordeal.
The archmage nodded. "You were incredibly brave. The wounds you sustained were serious, but we managed to treat them in time. You’ll need to rest and let your body heal, though. No more fighting for a while."
Remillia glanced down at the bandages again, the pain a constant reminder of how close she had come to not surviving the battle. But the fact that she was alive, that they had all survived, was enough for now.
"I understand," she said softly, leaning back against the headboard. "Thank you for everything."
"I’m impressed on how just the three of you managed to kill an Apex monster. You’re strong considering how you’re just a student. Just like what Professor Orion said, you must be a prodigy."
"Wait how do you know Professor Orion?"
"He’s my mentor."
"Your what?"
"Mentor, although he doesn’t like it when I call him that."
"Why would you help me anyway?"
"That’s because my mentor would kill me if I won’t heal you right away."
"And why would he do that?"
"He wants you to be his apprentice in the future."
"But I didn’t agree to that yet?"
"Just let him be, he’s becoming an old man now and besides, he sees something in you. Heck, he didn’t even show any affection to me, only you."
"I’ll make sure to thank him once I’m all healed."
The archmage healed her once more and before he left, Remillia requested something from him, "Archmage? Can you please keep it a secret that were the ones who killed the monster?"
Gusion raised an eyebrow, "We? Considering how you were the closest one from the monster, I suspect that you were the one who killed it. So why keep it a secret when it could lead you to fame?"
"That’s the thing, I don’t want to get famous to the point where they would always watch my every move."
"Okay and can you drop the formality? You can call me Gusion when we’re alone."
"Why?"
"We’re both apprentices from the same mentor."
"But I didn’t yet-"
The door closed leaving her stunned.
I shook my head, and tried to stretch my body and I was amazed when the pain is already gone.
"Time to check how they’re doing."

As she stepped out of the ward, the sunlight felt warm on her skin, a comforting contrast to the cold fear she had felt during the battle with Subterranea. She quickly made her way to the room next to hers, where Ezekiel and Edge were supposed to be resting.
However, as she pushed open the door, she stopped in her tracks, her eyes widening in surprise. The room wasn’t just occupied by Ezekiel and Edge—every one of her closest friends was there. Cypher, Angela, Whitney, Rex, and Christian were all gathered around, their faces filled with concern and relief as they saw her enter.
"Remillia!" Angela was the first to speak, her voice a mixture of joy and worry. She rushed over and hugged Remillia tightly, careful not to press too hard on her recently healed wound. "We were so worried about you!"
Remillia, still in shock, returned the hug, her mind racing to process the scene before her. "What... what are you all doing here?"
"We heard about what happened," Cypher said, stepping forward with a serious expression. "As soon as we found out, we all came to make sure you were okay."
I was expecting more for him to say so I said, "and?"
However he only looked at me as if he has nothing more to say. I gestured the two using my eyes and that’s when he only seemed to get it.
"...And to check on Ezekiel and Edge too, of course."
Christian, who had been standing quietly at the back of the room, finally spoke up. "You really scared us, Remillia. When we heard about the fight with that monster..."
"We couldn’t just sit around and wait for news," Whitney added, her eyes soft with concern. "We had to be here, to make sure you were all alright."
Ezekiel, who was sitting up in his bed with a bandaged arm, smiled wearily. "We’re fine, thanks to you, Remillia. If it weren’t for you, we might not have made it out of that fight."
Edge, lying beside Ezekiel, gave a weak thumbs-up. "Yeah, you really pulled us through. Glad to see you up and about."
Remillia looked around the room, her heart swelling with gratitude. She had always known her friends were loyal, but seeing them all gathered here, worried about her, made her realize just how much they cared.

"I’m so glad you’re all here," Remillia said, her voice thick with emotion. "I don’t know what I would’ve done without you guys."
Rex grinned, his usual bravado shining through. "Come on, Remillia. We’re a team. We stick together, no matter what."
Angela nodded, her eyes shining with tears she refused to let fall. "We’re just glad you’re okay."
"Yeah," Christian agreed, stepping closer to her. "You’ve been through a lot but how come you’re already standing when you were the most wounded?"
"The archmage healed my wounds. Didn’t he also heal the two?"
They all went quiet as they looked at me dumbfounded. Rex was the first one who broke out in laughter, "You’re really dumb witch hahaha! These two would have already gotten out of bed yesterday if only the archmage healed them."
Whitney also agreed, "He’s right. In fact, we wanted to visit you yesterday but he strongly refused saying you need more rest."
Angela asked her while moving her eyebrows up and down, "Say, what relationship do you have with him?"
I immediately shook my head clearing up her indecent thoughts, "I just know his mentor that’s all."
"Who’s his mentor then?"
"I suggest you stop there, that’s confidential information already."
"Oh come on! How about his initials?"
"No."
That day, the room was full of laughter as they told the story on how they defeated the monster.

Three days later, Ezekiel, and Edge were finally discharged from the medical ward but Remillia got discharged the same day she was healed. As she stepped back into the academy grounds, she was met with a whirlwind of activity. The air was abuzz with conversations, and it didn’t take long for them to learn why—the emergence of the apex monster, Subterranea, had become the hottest topic not just in the academy, but worldwide.
Everywhere she went, students and faculty alike were talking about the incident. The fact that such a dangerous creature had appeared so close to the academy had sparked widespread concern. The academy, renowned for training future heroes, was now under intense scrutiny. Parents, officials, and even the media were questioning its security measures, worried that such a breach could endanger the lives of the students studying there.
