There was silence...
Every person behind every screen, across the entire world—millions upon millions—had the fortune of witnessing the feat.
In that silence, the figure of the young man stood tall and proud.
Even though his suit had been stained with blood (something the Allen from the school festival would surely have hated). Even though his body had suffered the consequences of his actions, which no one had expected from him, he never touched the ground.
Ignoring even his own condition, his will kept his body in front of the train—floating, ready to stop it from moving again.
Even as it happened before everyone's eyes—even when it was impossible to deny—it still felt unreal.
We're not just talking about stopping a train with a mass comparable to a building. It was being constantly propelled by one of the four fundamental forces: electromagnetism. That multiplied the force required for the task—but the real difficulty was the pressure of knowing that if you made even the slightest mistake, you wouldn't just fail—you could tear through the train and kill everyone.
It had to be as precise as open-heart surgery. Enduring that level of stress and pressure while at the absolute limit was something many heroes—even veterans—couldn't do.
Why?
At this point, everyone was familiar with Allen. They knew him as a shameless young man, with a sky-high ego, with a smile that could either charm you or make you want to punch him—somebody who had earned both the affection of many and the dislike of many more.
Why?
No matter how they tried to rationalize it, people couldn't understand how someone like Allen could go to such great lengths to save the passengers.
No one cursed him anymore...
No one criticized him anymore...
No one hated him anymore...
Regardless of his personality, if an ordinary person could hate a young man capable of such feats, then they wouldn't be human—they would be beasts.
The only image etched into everyone's eyes was that of a young man, his hair swaying in the breeze, his cape flowing with the wind, and the sun illuminating his figure.
Of course, every coin has two sides. Just as Allen earned the respect of many, some disliked this, who despised his existence, and who even began to harbor ill intentions toward him.
Among them was a man in a black suit whose wine glass shattered in his hand, his face twisting with rage.
He had thought Allen might become another All Might—but honestly, that had seemed unlikely. Regardless of his power, Allen didn't seem like someone who would risk himself for others. But now he had changed his mind.
Now, he believed this arrogant brat might be even worse than All Might—for him.
...
There were also some close to Allen. The U.A. students, teachers, and Principal Nezu were all worried when they learned what had happened.
Kaina acted immediately. She dropped everything and headed for Tokyo, cutting through the sky at full speed, praying that Allen was okay.
Mirko also leapt across buildings at incredible speed. She wore a proud smile—but there was a hint of concern beneath it.
Ryuko flew in her dragon form with Nejire on her back, both heading toward Tokyo.
Nemuri did the same as the others, leaving everything behind to go to Tokyo. However, since her Quirk didn't grant her mobility, she went by vehicle. Before leaving U.A., several girls caught up to her and begged her to take them along. Under normal circumstances, she would have refused—but seeing the looks in their eyes, she agreed this time.
....
....
Meanwhile.
People got off the train at Tokyo Station. Many of them cried tears of joy, and others ran to embrace their families who had been waiting anxiously. However, among the crowd was a man wearing a hood and a beaked mask, watching everything with indifference—a gaze that expressed nothing but emptiness, as if people were less than insects in his eyes.
"So that's the man capable of frightening that monster... makes sense," he said coldly.
Despite being on the train, this man had never been afraid. He had never shown even the slightest change in expression—but not because he lacked fear. It was because he was one of those responsible for causing it.
The man pulled on the hand of a little girl.
"Let's go, Eri..." It wasn't a request—it was an order. Without emotion, without feeling—a voice no child should ever hear.
The little girl, with a terrified expression, didn't dare disobey. As she walked, she let her All Might doll fall to the ground. After all, it had only been camouflage—a façade that was no longer necessary now that the man had achieved his goal.
The girl looked back at the crowd—at that place where that older brother remained.
"Don't make me repeat myself..." the man said when he noticed Eri slowing down.
"...!"
The light in the girl's eyes faded, and together with the man, she disappeared into the distance.
....
When Allen opened his eyes, he saw an unfamiliar ceiling. As he sat up, his head ached and his eyes throbbed—he had lost the Superman template and returned to being human.
Allen lay back down again, staring at the ceiling, exhausted.
"It's frustrating that I can't complain about my 'humanity' because I always repeat that even pain and fatigue are treasures... well, maybe not so much. At times like this, I miss my power..."
[Host, I'm glad to see you so lively after breaking your limits—and your body in the process~]
"Don't remind me. It was the heat of the moment. I'm done with heroic acts—let someone else handle them," Allen complained as he placed his hands behind his head.
A soft giggle was heard before Kurumi appeared. The girl looked at Allen with her golden eyes, wearing a teasing smile.
"Hehe, but you looked cool~"
"Nah, looking cool would be stopping the train effortlessly. Instead, my reputation probably got stained. Now I'll have to beat up some bad guys so people don't think I'm weak."
Kurumi lowered her head before smiling. She walked over to the bed and climbed on top of Allen, straddling him.
"What?" Allen raised an eyebrow. His relationship with the spirit Kurumi Tokisaki from the world of Date A Live had improved, but he knew he didn't fit her tastes—he wasn't a cute younger brother with a pure heart, nor a kind boy she could tease for fun.
Kurumi leaned over him, looking down. Her pupils were slightly dilated, and there was a faint blush on her cheeks.
"To be honest, I like you a bit more now—but I still think you're not my type~"
Allen was about to tease her, but she did something unexpected—she leaned in and stole a kiss from him. It was just a light touch, lasting barely half a second—but it was unmistakably a kiss.
Before Allen could react, she disappeared—and immediately, Wednesday appeared, sitting on his head.
"It seems you've gotten slow. Must be age," the girl said expressionlessly.
"Aren't you being a bit harsh?" Allen shook his head. "I just woke up after breaking who knows how many bones. I don't have any powers right now, so it's fair I got caught off guard, right?~"
Wednesday narrowed her eyes. "Liar. You didn't stop her on purpose..."
Allen shrugged.
"System, is there anything I should know?"
[I ended the stream after informing them you were fine. A heroine brought you to Tokyo Hospital after what happened. I don't know if I should mention it, but Death Arms tried to carry you—but you punched him. Basically, you refused to be carried by a man, so a girl had to do it instead.]
"Oh? And who was it? You know… so I can thank her," Allen said with a mischievous smile.
Jalter – Bastard, it hasn't even been two minutes since you woke up, and you're already like this!
"Come on, I'm just going to thank her. Do you think I'm a degenerate? Don't answer that."
Artoria – We should be glad that Allen is okay.
"Exactly. Thanks for that."
Albedo – Allen-sama, there's no need for you to do something like that. Allow me to thank that bitch... that woman myself.
"Haha... no."
Bocchi – A-are you okay?
"Yeah, don't worry."
Allen's mood improved as he talked with the dolls—until he suddenly felt pain in his chest. For a moment, everyone panicked, but the system calmed them, saying it was normal.
Before Allen could question it, a template appeared floating over his chest.
It was a Superman template—but it wasn't silver or gold. It shimmered with an iridescent color—a color Allen knew very well.
"System..."
[Congratulations. You have met the requirements to upgrade a template to its highest quality!]
When Allen arrived in this world, everything was full of mysteries—the world's history and the bet with Lucifer. Everything had been erased from his memories until he either won or lost the current wager.
Allen took the template with his right hand. It felt different from the others—as if it existed and didn't at the same time.
"Is this one permanent?"
[Host, always so perceptive. All the templates you have are temporary. It's not that each one gives you power—the power has been within you since you first obtained the template of "someone." The rest act more like "keys" that allow you to access those sealed powers... however, I'm afraid it's not that convenient.]
Allen clicked his tongue. "Let me guess—Lucifer?"
[Yes. Originally, once the conditions to bring a template to its highest quality were met, it would become permanent—but Lucifer didn't allow it.]
Allen sighed—but he understood why. If he permanently obtained a powerful template—like, say, a Saiyan one—it would be game over for Lucifer.
"Just tell me the conditions..."
[I'm sorry...]
[Iridescent Template: Legacy of Superman
Origin: Allen Walker
QG: Infinite
Current Passives: Solar Energy Absorption, Solar Regeneration...]
"I see... at least that means I can strengthen this template without using it—and I can heal with sunlight too?"
[Yes. Since it's a permanent passive, it remains active even when using other templates.]
"Well, finally some good news."
The words brought silence. The dolls didn't speak, and the system didn't either, as if they understood that the conversation so far had only been a distraction to avoid the topic as much as possible.
[...]
"That was you, wasn't it?"
[...]
"In that last moment, I heard a girl's voice in my head, but I didn't recognize it." Allen frowned. "I might be a womanizer, but strike me down if I'm incapable of recognizing my own woman... this would only be possible if someone interfered to keep me from recognizing her."
[Yes, it was her request...]
Allen calmed down. "I'm sorry."
[ Allen, do you really want to know?]
"No, I'll respect that decision. Certainly, she doesn't want to worry me right now. Time flows faster here, so when I return, it probably won't even be noticeable yet—but beyond that, I'm worried she's going through this alone..."
[Don't worry. She is strong.]
Allen smiled. "That's not a clue. All my girls are strong."
Knock, knock.
The conversation was interrupted when visitors arrived at Allen's room. He sat up on the bed.
"Come in..."
....
A muscular man landed right at the entrance of the Tokyo Superhero Hospital. He was none other than All Might, whose presence surprised everyone.
When a hero gets injured, they don't go to a regular hospital but to one for heroes—facilities designed to treat the many kinds of injuries they often receive on the job.
"Excuse me, Miss, do you know where Allen Walker is?"
"I'm sorry, sir, we can't give that inf—ah, All Might?!" The nurse quickly corrected her tone to a more respectful one and bowed. "Yes, my apologies; this way."
The nurse guided All Might to Allen's private room.
'I hope he's alright...' All Might thought with frustration as he began to feel tired after coming all the way from Mustafu at full speed. That even allowed him to arrive before Kaina, despite her Quirk, "Skywalk."
All Might blamed himself for this outcome. Even though it was All Might who called Allen, he didn't expect this to happen, and despite already proving both his capability and strength, Allen was still too young to carry that burden.
'What am I doing?!'
All Might had come after making a decision—he wouldn't allow Allen to carry everything alone.
"Huh?!! What did you say?!!"
Both All Might and the nurse were startled when they heard a shout full of anger coming from Allen's room.
All Might rushed ahead and opened the door, thinking it might be a villain attack or something.
"Allen! Are you alright?!"
Inside the room, Allen was holding a mild-mannered-looking man by the neck—a man in a suit with glasses hanging from his collar. The man looked terrified, while Allen, dressed in hospital clothes, seemed ready to rip his head off.
"What are you doing?..."
Allen paused to look at All Might, then began shaking the man.
"This son of a bitch is robbing me!"
"What?" All Might looked at the man, whose face had turned blue as foam came out of his mouth.
All Might smiled awkwardly. "How about you let him go and explain the situation to me?"
"..." Allen growled but released the man and then sat cross-legged on his bed.
Heroes earn money in different ways—being sponsored by brands, appearing on shows, participating in events, or even selling merchandise. That's right, even All Might embodies the soul of a capitalist, as his collectible figures like the ones Deku owns or Koichi's jackets are merchandise from which he receives a percentage.
However, those methods require a certain level of popularity. For most lesser-known heroes and those who have just debuted, their main income comes from the Hero Commission, which pays them a base salary and bonuses.
....
"Can you believe this?!" Allen felt betrayed and depressed. "Ah, the miserable life of a rookie... six months of work with reduced pay—is it even worth it?"
All Might scratched his head. He knew heroes received their salary and bonuses according to their ranking.
"So this guy tells me that even if I accomplished something like that, I'll be paid less just because I'm not in the top ten. What a scam!"
All Might felt uncomfortable. It was true that heroes earned money, but it was something no one said out loud, as it would tarnish a hero's image. Yet Allen, after achieving a feat that could go down in history, was complaining about not being paid enough for it.
The man froze. Heroes tried to maintain their image at all times, so they didn't openly argue about money—especially not this shamelessly and definitely not in places where others could see.
The frightened man dropped to his knees and slammed his head against the floor.
"Mr. Walker, we apologize! I'll report this to the Hero Commission—perhaps they'll make an exception!"
"No," Allen interrupted. "It's not necessary."
When the man lifted his face, Allen's anger had vanished, replaced by a faint smile.
"Are you sure?"
The man asked again, still nervous.
Allen shrugged. "Yeah, don't worry about it."
"Then what was all that about?" All Might asked.
Allen chuckled. "Ah, I was bored and just wanted to mess with someone. Sorry."
The man and All Might froze. What kind of shameless guy was this? He had nearly given the poor man a panic attack just for fun.
Allen extended his hand. "Just give me the check, son."
'I'm twice your age!' the man complained in his mind, but outwardly he simply took out the check and handed it over. After that, he left the room almost as if fleeing.
"Allen..." All Might was speechless. Even if he knew Allen was like this, he still had to say something as his mentor.
"What are you doing, Toshinori?" Allen said seriously, which surprised All Might.
"You're at your limit already, aren't you?"
"...!"
As if those words were a curse, All Might lost his muscular form, reverting to his thin state. He immediately dropped to his knees, exhausted and gasping. He had come to Tokyo using his power to the limit, but his concern had kept him from realizing he had already reached it.
"Be careful..." Allen said. "We don't want people to find out yet that you're no longer in shape. It would break their hearts, right?"
All Might opened his eyes and looked up, seeing Allen gazing out the window with a calm and serene expression.
"Don't tell me what you did earlier was for my sake?"
"I don't know what you're talking about. I was really just bored and wanted to mess with someone," Allen smiled. However, this time, All Might didn't believe him.
All Might smiled before sitting down in the chair beside the bed, talking with this young man whom he was beginning to understand more and more—someone who had somehow earned not only his respect, but also his admiration.
....
"Allen!"
Shortly after, the door to the room opened and a group of women entered—Kaina, Nemuri, Mirko, Ryuko, Nejire, Momo, Itsuka, Toru, Mina, and Ochako.
"Yo, calm down—!"
Allen cut himself off when he saw that half of them jumped toward him, turning the situation into chaos.
"What were you thinking?!"
"Are you okay, my baby?!"
"Where does it hurt?!"
"Wa—" Allen couldn't speak, as his head was trapped in Ryuko's chest.
"Calm down, he's still injured!" All Might exclaimed, but he was met with deadly glares from the girls. The pressure from the group of women was comparable to All For One, forcing All Might to leave the room and abandon Allen.
'I'm sorry, young Allen… this is a battle I can't help you with...'
====
A/N: Would All For One be spitting bile if he knew that a group of girls had achieved what he couldn't? Making All Might run away in fear, who knows XD
