I Became a Kindergarten Teacher for Monster Babies!-Chapter 292 Sweet learning
Inside the box, some of the chalk had been replaced by Boo’s homemade sugar sticks. She couldn’t help but imagine him sneaking in earlier that day, floating around with that mischievous grin, carefully swapping each one like a tiny candy thief.
Still laughing, she took a few of them in her hand and stepped out of the classroom, heading toward the staff room.
When she entered, Gabriel was busy looking over some papers, while Professor Hobb and Miss Kelly were having tea. They all looked up curiously when Alina appeared, smiling from ear to ear, holding the sugar sticks like a magician revealing her trick.
"Look what Boo has done this time," she said, her voice full of amusement.
Gabriel raised an eyebrow. "What is that?"
"Chalk," Professor Hobb said automatically.
Alina grinned. "Try tasting it."
Miss Kelly blinked. "Taste the chalk?"
"Trust me," Alina said, trying not to laugh.
Hesitantly, Miss Kelly broke off a small piece, touched it to her tongue, and gasped. "It’s... sweet!"
Gabriel’s eyes widened. "You’re kidding me."
Alina laughed, shaking her head. "No. Boo replaced all the chalk with sugar sticks. He called it sweet learning."
Professor Hobb groaned, putting a hand over his face. "That ghost is going to give me nightmares."
Miss Kelly giggled softly. "Nightmares? More like cavities."
Even Gabriel smiled, a quiet, genuine smile that made Alina’s laughter soften. "He’s quite something," he said.
"Yes," Alina agreed, still looking at the sugar sticks fondly. "Quite something indeed."
"And your students made my life miserable yesterday," Professor Hobb complained. "They called me egg," he continued dramatically, "and that little water boy splashed me with water. The rest of them just stood there cheering. It was chaos—pure chaos!"
Alina couldn’t help it—she smiled, though she quickly tried to hide it behind her hand. "Oh, Professor Hobb," she said softly, "I’m so sorry about them. They can be quite a handful to manage." She paused for a moment, her tone turning gentler. "But they also told me that you doubted their abilities in class, sir."
Professor Hobb blinked, looking caught off guard. "Did they...?"
Alina nodded lightly. "Yes. They said you thought they couldn’t solve your math problem. It hurt their little hearts more than you realize."
For a moment, the older man looked guilty. He lowered his gaze and sighed. "I suppose I did underestimate them," he admitted quietly. "Those children... they’re more capable than they look."
Alina’s expression softened. "They really are. Sometimes they just need patience and maybe a bit of faith."
He nodded slowly, his voice lower now. "You’re right, Miss Alina. I’ll apologize to them tomorrow. It’s the least I can do."
Alina smiled, her eyes full of warmth. "They’ll appreciate that, sir. And don’t worry—they forget grudges quickly. By tomorrow, they’ll probably invite you to join their games."
Professor Hobb let out a long breath, chuckling under it. "Heaven help me if they do."
Alina laughed, shaking her head as she looked down at the sugar-stick chalk still in her hands.
Then, after finishing her chat with Professor Hobb, Alina left the staffroom, still smiling faintly to herself. She hadn’t taken more than a few steps down the quiet hallway when a familiar, calm voice called her name.
"Miss Alina."
She turned and saw Dante walking toward her, tall and composed as ever. The faint light from the windows cast a soft glow on his dark coat and crimson eyes. He stopped just in front of her, his expression as gentle as his tone.
"Sir?" she said, smiling politely.
"I brought the healer I mentioned," Dante said, his gaze steady. "You can take us both to your mother and aunt’s hospital. She’s ready to go with you."
Alina blinked, stunned. "You... you already brought her?" she asked, her voice soft with disbelief.
Dante nodded simply.
Her lips parted, and her eyes filled with emotion. "Thank you, sir. We only talked about it this morning, and you—" she stopped herself, overwhelmed. "You really mean what you say."
He looked at her quietly for a moment, then his expression softened further. Without hesitation, he reached out and pulled her into a gentle hug. His hand came up to pat her back, his voice low and reassuring. "Don’t worry, Miss Alina," he murmured. "I’m glad I could help."
Behind him, the healer—Georgia—rolled her eyes discreetly, folding her arms. "Oh, the mighty lord wants to be helpful now?" she muttered under her breath, smirking. "That’s a new one. Never thought I’d see a demon playing hero."
It was clear from her amused tone that she knew exactly how rare such a gesture was. Perhaps Miss Alina was indeed a special case.
"And Alina," Dante said, releasing her gently, "this is Healer Georgia."
Georgia stepped forward, her expression bright and friendly. She was a short woman with a soft, curvy build, long brown hair that glowed under the light, and kind green eyes that reminded Alina of spring leaves.
"Hello, Alina!" she said cheerfully, waving her hand. "I’m Georgia. I come from the Plant Domain. I’m basically a walking garden—naturally gifted in healing and energy work. I can also provide extra oxygen and warmth whenever you need it."
Alina blinked in surprise, taken aback by her vibrant personality.
Georgia grinned wider. "I heard what you’ve been going through. So before anything else, let me give you a big tree hug!"
Before Alina could respond, Georgia wrapped her arms around her waist and hugged her tightly.
Alina stiffened for a second, completely caught off guard, but then something strange happened. The moment Georgia’s arms circled her, a wave of gentle warmth spread through her body. It wasn’t just physical—it was peaceful, like sunlight filtering through leaves.
Alina relaxed slowly and hugged her back, smiling with her eyes closed. "That’s so comforting," she murmured. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
Georgia giggled. "That’s the magic of nature, sweetheart."
Dante stood beside them, watching the scene quietly. A faint smile ghosted over his lips, but there was something thoughtful in his eyes too, something that almost looked like admiration.
"Thank you, Georgia," Alina said softly, wiping the corner of her eyes with the back of her hand. The warmth from the healer’s embrace still lingered, wrapping around her like sunlight. Her gaze lifted toward Georgia with genuine admiration. There was something about her—something peaceful and earthy, almost glowing. Such a beautiful woman, Alina thought, smiling with awe.
Meanwhile, Dante stood beside them, his expression tightening ever so slightly. His red eyes flicked between the two women, focused on the way Alina’s gaze seemed enchanted.
His jaw flexed. Why is she looking at her like that, he thought, a faint irritation rising in his chest. Is she... admiring her?
