I Am the Sweetheart of Mr. CEO-Chapter 490 - 488: Good News (Part 2)
After waiting for a moment without getting his response, Sally Dalton pressed her lips together.
"I should go, goodbye, Nathan Leafcastle!"
Taking a deep breath, she stepped forward, trying to walk past him.
The man hesitated for a moment, but finally extended his hand, grabbed hers, and pulled her into his arms.
"Sally, don’t leave me."
After leaving the restaurant, he only felt a loneliness he had never experienced before.
Now, he needed a hug to give him a bit of warmth.
"I know you’ve always been good to me over the years, just give me a little more time, okay?" 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
Feeling his arms tightly around her, Sally Dalton hesitated for a while, but finally extended her hand gently to hold his waist.
"Alright."
Upon hearing the word "Alright," Nathan Leafcastle felt a weight lifted from his heart.
"Thank you!" Holding her, his voice was sincere, "Thank you, Sally."
Resting her chin gently on his shoulder, Sally Dalton just smiled softly.
"You don’t need to be formal with me."
After embracing her for a while, Nathan Leafcastle finally lifted his face, released her waist, and raised his hand to tidy her hair, he smiled and spoke.
"Shall we go downstairs for dinner?"
Hearing this, Sally Dalton immediately brightened up.
"You haven’t eaten yet?"
He shook his head.
"You!" The girl glanced at him reproachfully, "You don’t know how to take care of yourself at all; didn’t they find mild gastritis before, and you’re still not eating on time!"
He just smiled at her with his lips.
The two of them walked out of the guest room together, and Sally Dalton turned her face to inquire.
"By the way, has Vera Wave’s grandmother been found?"
"Yes, she’s been found."
"Then..." Sally Dalton pondered slightly, "Is the old lady alright, should we go and see her?"
Before, Nathan Leafcastle had told her many stories from his childhood, and Sally Dalton knew he had deep feelings for the Wave Clan.
"No need, she’s fine, doing well." Nathan Leafcastle did not continue on this topic, "The weather outside is nice, after dinner I’ll take you to climb the Great Wall."
"Sure!" Sally Dalton replied with a smile, "Now that you mention it, I’ve been to Nicosa several times, but I’ve never climbed the Great Wall!"
The two of them chatted and laughed as they went downstairs, walking into the private room reserved by Liliana Davis.
Seeing her son leading Sally Dalton in, Liliana Davis finally breathed a sigh of relief, immediately standing up to welcome them.
"Come, sit down quickly, I’ve ordered the food, just waiting for you both to come down."
Moments later, the servants brought the food, and Sally Dalton stood up.
"I’m going to wash my hands."
She walked into the restroom of the private room, and Liliana Davis leaned over, holding her son’s arm.
"Nathan, I have to remind you this time, such a wonderful girl, if you really miss her, you’ll regret it for a lifetime!"
Nathan Leafcastle didn’t speak, but Vera Wave’s face flashed before his eyes again.
He didn’t know about the future, all he knew was that at this moment, his biggest regret was not going to America years ago.
If he had studied in America with her, or stayed in Nicosa back then, maybe everything would be different.
It’s just a pity that there is no such thing as ’maybe’ in this world.
"Mom!" Thinking of this, he turned his face, "Earlier I asked you to look into the Buck Island project, any updates?"
"Oh..." Liliana Davis pondered for a moment, "I’ll give Linda a call later, it should be soon."
Nathan Leafcastle was about to say something else, but Sally Dalton had already come out of the restroom, so he immediately shut his mouth, not mentioning this topic again.
