I Am the Sweetheart of Mr. CEO-Chapter 394: Reunion with Nathan Leafcastle (Part 2)
Vera Wave smiled, withdrawing her hand, and extended it to Sally Dalton.
"Miss Dalton, a pleasure to meet you!"
Sally Dalton extended her palm, grasped her hand, and also took a serious look at her.
"Pleasure to meet you."
The name Vera Wave was not unfamiliar to Sally Dalton.
Knowing Nathan Leafcastle for so long, the name she heard most often from him was "Vera." Sally Dalton was well aware that this girl before her was the biggest obstacle to winning Nathan Leafcastle’s true heart.
At this moment, the elevator had also arrived on the third floor. The elevator door opened, and she proactively held the elevator door, inviting the others to step out first.
Liliana Davis and Sally Dalton stepped out of the elevator one after another, but Nathan Leafcastle remained standing in place, holding the door open button.
"You go ahead."
Vera Wave nodded, took a step ahead of him into the elevator, and consciously stepped to the side.
"Well then, I won’t disturb you any longer. Goodbye."
"That’s alright, Aunt Dare will come visit you and Grandma later."
Liliana Davis smiled and nodded at her, then supported Nathan Leafcastle’s arm, "Nathan, let’s go!"
Nathan Leafcastle glanced at Vera Wave, nodding to her lightly.
"We’ll be going now."
"Goodbye."
Vera Wave replied with a smile.
The three of them walked together to the reception, and Liliana Davis spoke with a smile.
"Please open a private room for us."
"I’m really sorry, ladies. All our private rooms are booked today."
This hotel, run by descendants of the former Royal Dining Room chef, is an old establishment famed for its imperial cuisine. The dishes are excellent, and the atmosphere is good.
In the past, Vera Wave often dined here, which was why she made a reservation for dinner here tonight.
Sally Dalton traveled from Singapore to visit Nathan Leafcastle, and Nathan had this restaurant in mind when he brought her here for dinner.
Unexpectedly, the business was so booming that even the private rooms were fully booked.
"This..." Nathan Leafcastle looked around, "Can you arrange something for us?"
"Sir, we’re truly sorry. All our private rooms are reserved, but if you don’t mind, I can find you a quiet table on the second floor, how about that?"
Originally trailing behind deliberately, Vera Wave quickened her pace upon hearing these words and walked over.
"I reserved a room earlier, but my guest got delayed, so let’s give it to them!" She provided her name and phone number, and the server checked the records, immediately smiling, "That’s wonderful, your private room is just right for these three, I’ll refund your deposit."
Taking the refunded money from the server, Vera Wave smiled at Nathan Leafcastle and the others, turning to leave.
Nathan Leafcastle watched her back, finally unable to resist calling out her name.
"Vera!"
Vera Wave turned her face.
"Anything?"
"Oh, nothing... I just... since your friend isn’t coming, why not join us for dinner?"
Liliana Davis gave her son a helpless look and chimed in, "Yes, Vera, it’s been so long since we’ve seen each other, Aunt wants to catch up with you, stay and eat with us!"
"No... no need." Vera Wave smiled, shrugged, and told a little lie, "The taxi is still waiting for me downstairs, I’ll head off first."
Not giving them a chance to speak further, she quickened her pace toward the elevator.
Nathan Leafcastle turned his face, gazing intently at her retreating figure.
The server raised his arm with a smile, "Please follow me, the rest of you!"
"Okay."
Liliana Davis responded with a smile, reaching out to tug on Nathan Leafcastle’s arm. Nathan came back to his senses and walked into the private room with the three of them.
Sally Dalton watched Nathan Leafcastle’s demeanor carefully, a shadow of darkness coloring her dark eyes.
