I Am the Sweetheart of Mr. CEO-Chapter 395: Reunion with Nathan Leafcastle (Part 3)
The three of them sat down and took turns ordering food.
Liliana Davis noticed Sally Dalton seemed a bit down, so she smiled and spoke up.
"Vera, that kid... She’s been away from me for so long, she feels distant!"
"It’s not like that, Mom!" Nathan Leafcastle hurriedly explained for her, "Vera lost her memory, so she doesn’t remember you."
Liliana Davis raised an eyebrow, paused, and asked.
"How did that happen?"
"She said it was because of a car accident."
"Poor child." Liliana Davis shook her head gently, her gaze falling on Sally Dalton’s face as she smiled again, "Let’s not talk about her. Sally, are you here in Nicosa for something specific?"
"Oh..." Sally Dalton smiled, "It’s nothing major, really. I just heard from Linda that Brother Nathan was sick, and I felt uneasy, so I came to check on him."
Saying this, her eyes naturally fell on Nathan Leafcastle.
"Nathan, you don’t look well, are you alright?"
"It’s nothing, just... an old problem. No need to worry, Linda exaggerated." Nathan Leafcastle gave a disguised smile, "Here, try some of the dishes from this restaurant. Vera and I used to come here often..."
Liliana Davis gave a light cough.
Nathan Leafcastle realized his slip and immediately changed the subject.
"All the dishes in this restaurant are authentic palace dishes, and the pastries are pretty good too. You should try them later."
"Okay." Sally Dalton smiled in response, "I plan to stay here for a while this time, to really experience Ebba Culture. You grew up here, Brother Nathan, you must be familiar with it. Could you... be my guide?"
"Is there even a need to ask?" Liliana Davis immediately interrupted, "Just as well, I’m planning to let him rest well these days. Nathan, Sally has come all the way here, make sure you accompany her and show her around!"
Nathan Leafcastle nodded, "Let’s eat!"
This meal, Nathan Leafcastle ate absentmindedly.
He originally thought he could at least pretend to be calm, but the disguise he had carefully prepared was shattered instantly upon seeing that person.
After the meal, the two of them accompanied Sally Dalton to her hotel, during which Nathan Leafcastle received a phone call and quickly left in a hurry.
In the end, only Liliana Davis accompanied Sally Dalton upstairs.
Walking into the room, Liliana Davis smiled and said, "Since you’re here, stay longer this time and let Nathan show you around."
"Auntie." Sally Dalton took a deep breath, "I think... it’s best to forget it. Brother Nathan is so busy, I’d rather not trouble him."
"Men are all like this." Liliana Davis held her hand, "They always think the unattainable is the best and don’t really know what’s truly suitable for them. They’ve been apart for so long, there’s no love; it’s merely a reminiscence of the past. Nathan is a smart person; he’ll soon realize who is truly right for him. You should know, Auntie has always liked you. Linda called you especially this time, hoping you could help Nathan get through this low point. Sally, don’t let Nathan keep being so down; even if Auntie has to beg you, help him, okay?"
"Auntie." Sally Dalton frowned slightly, "You know how I feel about Nathan, but him... You saw it yourself; I came all the way from Singapore, and he didn’t even look at me directly. What... what can I do?"
