I Am An Illegitimate Child With A Legitimate Reason For Revenge-Chapter 68: They won’t put poison in a public meal
Ariel dashed out of Raymond’s room before anything else could be said and ran to her room. As she ran past, White caught sight of her and frowned bitterly, squeezing his pretty pale face.
As soon as Ariel got to her room, she dove into her bed and buried her face in her pillow.
Her entire body had turned red from the heat that had suddenly enveloped her. She had been so bold saying all that but secretly, she was frightened that she would get rejected a second time. She just wanted to look confident and at the end, he agreed to it.
She was so happy. Her little dirty fantasies could finally come to life. She could finally have Raymond. They would kiss and he would wrap his arms around her little frame. She would feel secure in his arms, no doubt. She was happy.
"I need to sleep." She told herself but no matter what she did, she couldn’t force herself to sleep. The excitement she felt was over the roof and... "I’m not being too greedy." She suddenly muttered. "I’m holding back. I really am."
The next morning, Ariel had heavy eye bags beneath her eyes. Allison and Betty were startled upon seeing the eye bags but there was something they couldn’t quite get.
Though she looked like she didn’t sleep all through the night, there was a particular happy halo around her head.
"Are you okay?" Allison asked and Ariel’s face beamed.
"Never felt better."
Allison and Betty helped her take a bath and after wish, groomed her accordingly and made sure her face shone as bright as the sparkles on her dress.
"You’re ready." Betty announced and Ariel checked her phone.
"And just in the nick of time." Ariel said and got up. "Thank you for your hard work." She said to them and started heading out.
Raymond waited in the living room downstairs. He checked his watch. There was still a lot of time before the event started but he didn’t mind if they went there a little late. Making an entrance in that sort of time would be great.
Then, he heard sharp footsteps descending the stairs. He looked up, only to see Ariel walking down slowly and confidently with the sharp shade of red screaming out her character.
The shape shade didn’t just scream out Ariel’s obnoxiousness but also complimented her lips and eyeliner. She looked gorgeous and spontaneous.
"Why are you staring like that?" Ariel asked Raymond as she drew near to him. "Do I look like an angel?"
"No." He took her hand and kissed it. "You look like a demoness."
"O~kay. Don’t know if I should take that as a compliment or not. Haha." She chuckled. "Anyway, do I fit the bill?"
"You are the bill, Ariel?" He said and Ariel found herself blushing.
His words sounded so cheesy that she couldn’t help it. Did he find the words on the internet or the books?
"Shall we?" He hooked his arms and she held on to it.
"Alright. But I’m hungry." She said and he smiled at her.
"Don’t worry. There’s plenty of food there."
"Aren’t you scared they’ll poison the food?" She asked him, with suspicious eyes which Raymond found amusing.
"They won’t put poison in a public meal, Ariel." He said. "But they will try to get you so make sure to stick close to me or White. Understand?"
"Yes."
They got into the car and the driver drove steadily till they got to their destination. The distance from Raymond’s Mansion to the Stein’s mansion was approximately two hours so Ariel used that time to get a little shut eye.
While she slept, Raymond couldn’t help himself and stared at her. She looked especially gorgeous with makeup on, but her plain face was also good. In all honesty, he preferred looking at her face without makeup. If he stole a kiss from her stainless lips, she would never know but with lipstick on, he’d definitely smear it and she would find out.
’What am I thinking of right now?’ He tried to look away.
In all his life, he never thought that he’d battle with his control over his carnal desires. In fact, he never thought he would meet a lady whom he would actually lust after or spend the rest of his life with.
Marriage... He didn’t put much thought into that at all.
But if it was with someone like Ariel... Maybe...
Raymond’s eyes grew in shock as soon as he realized the path of his thoughts. What was wrong with him? Marriage? He wanted to marry Ariel?
Something was definitely wrong with him.
’Must be an after effect of that thing.’ He thought, furrowing his eyebrows heavily.
He didn’t like it. That feeling of love and the effects it was having on him.
First, he was falling for a girl he never thought he’d fall for and then, he was thinking about marriage. What’s next? Would he start fantasizing about how she would look with gray hair?
Thinking about that, he found Ariel’s gray hair and old age appearance to still look pretty.
*Bang* The car immediately came to a halt upon that loud sound.
"Are you okay, Boss?" The driver asked, looking back through the rearview mirror and Raymond nodded.
"Everything’s fine. Don’t worry about it." He said and though the driver still wondered, he quickly started the car and they went on their way.
Raymond had punched the door hard after visualizing Ariel’s old age appearance and thinking she would still look pretty. He had definitely gone crazy.
"I don’t like this." He muttered, unsatisfied and on edge.
He looked at Ariel, who was still sleeping, with eyes that held a bit of pain, regret and curiosity.
The feelings he had towards her were so complex that he couldn’t explain. He felt lust, pure liking, longing, adoration, admiration, sympathy. He felt all those but he couldn’t put them together.
"The feelings I feel for you." He muttered and looked away.
He was glad she had proposed they use each other’s bodies to fulfill their lustful and greedy desires. If she hadn’t done that, then he might really have made a mistake. He might’ve been swept by his desire and done something he’d regret later.
But for a desire like that... Wouldn’t he only end up wanting more from her? Would getting her body be enough? What if.... What if he wanted more from her? Then what?
