Chapter 60: A late introduction

(This Chapter has some rather disturbing contents. Readers discretion advised. And by disturbing, I mean, if you’re not okay with a young girl torturing a lady old enough to be her mother, then kindly skip this Chapter.)

Mr Albert had naturally been taken in by the police while Martha had roamed around, looking for some of their close aides to help them but they all turned a blind eye, pretending not to know them or care about their situation.

Raymond’s men took Mr Albert from the police station while they picked up Martha and Clara from Clara’s house. Everything under Mr Albert’s name had been confiscated but luckily, Clara and Marco’s house which wasn’t. In description, the house was somewhere near an annex of the big mansion. Like an extension.

But that piece of land was in Clara’s name so it wasn’t confiscated.

While Marco had been captured a lot earlier than the rest, the others were restlessly roaming.

As they all knelt down, they felt a mighty pressure push them down. It was Ariel glaring down at them.

They dared not raise their heads. That is... Until they heard Ariel’s voice and they dared to look up at her.

"You!" Martha charged, attempting to stand but the guards held her down. "Let me go. You’re the one behind this, right? You sneaky and slimy bitch. What beef do you have with our family? Why did you do this, you psychopath?"

Ariel ignored her ranting. Her words were like bullets but they were rubber bullets which bounced back after meeting their target. Her words did not bother her.

"How dare you frame our family?" Martha kept going and Ariel swung her legs slowly. "Did your mother not educate you to value a family? Do you feel okay breaking a home?"

At the mention of that, Ariel snapped.

But since she was told beforehand not to ruin her precious hands on filth, she had something prepared.

"Allison." Ariel called in a small voice but it was loud enough to summon Allison from where she was. "I would’ve let you continue your rant." She began, addressing Martha. "But I am very eager to show you exactly how my ’mother’ educated me while growing up." Her gaze turned murderous as Allison approached her.

Ariel stood up to her feet, and first took the black hand gloves from the pillow Allison presented to her.

"Watch carefully with your eyes open." She picked up the crop, a stick horse whip, and grinned. "This is exactly how my ’mother’ educated me." She raised her hand.

"What are you...?" Martha’s mouth was immediately smacked from the left with the crop, to her absolute astonishment.

"Lesson one, do not speak unless you are asked to." Ariel began, bending the crop to her will, but Martha refused to accept such humiliation.

"You evil..." The right side of her mouth was smacked next and she glared angrily.

"Lesson two, never talk back." Ariel said.

Martha was in shock. This brat... How dare she smack her with a crop? She was too arrogant. But right at this moment, she couldn’t do anything. She couldn’t fight back. She was powerless.

Did that mean she would have to be obedient to this brat who couldn’t even show respect to her elders?

"You, what are you doing to my ... Ack." Clara’s face got a nice whack with the crop as she tried to intervene.

"Keep your eyes to yourself. They make me sick." Ariel glared at her looking ever so serious. This made Clara realise that the girl she had faced earlier didn’t go all out when fighting back. This was her serious self.

She glanced back at Raymond who silently watched the whole thing. She wanted to call out for help, hoping maybe he would have sympathy for her but the moment her eyes met his, her entire body froze with the murderous look he had in his eyes.

She was immediately stricken with fear. He was like her. They wanted them dead. She would just need to lift a finger and the deed would be done.

"What do you want from us?" Clara asked, trembling like a leaf

"Nothing much." Ariel said and leaned closer. "I just need you to suffer for the rest of your life and then blame your mother. Regret ever being born into this world and regret ever being in the Albert family."

As soon as Ariel said that, Clara’s eyes widened. She knew those words. There was no way she could not recognize her own words. The words she said to that half witt almost every single day.

"You..." She looked up to meet Ariel’s demon eyes and for a second, she could not admit it. There was no way.

Now that she looked at her more closely, they did look alike. No. They were exactly alike.

"It can’t be." Clara muttered, her lips slightly quivering. "There’s no way you’re her. She’s dead."

The others looked at her, wondering what she was talking about and then she turned to Marco. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚

"Hey... You killed her, right? This can’t be her. This can’t be that dumb bitch, am I right?" Marco raised his head.

He had been silent for fear of being killed on the spot. Not only did he cheat with Raymond Stein’s lover but their affair broadcasted all over the news. He could only imagine the deep hatred Raymond Stein had for him.

He looked up at Ariel, hoping to see some hope but what he saw was a look that could kill him. He immediately lowered his head. She would kill him for sure. There was no way she’d let him live to reveal that she was the one who gave him the papers.

"Hey, look at her. She’s not the one, right?"

"Stop talking nonsense." Marco snapped at Clara. "This is Peppa."

"Actually, I failed to introduce myself personally." Ariel said and they both looked at her. "But at this point, do I still need to introduce myself? One of you is the guy who stabbed me to death while the other is my dear sister who made my life hell on Earth." Her evil smile made the truth even more heavier for them to carry.

Ariel turned to Martha.

"I’m sure by now you know for sure, where and who I was educated by." She said and smiled. "It’s good to see you again, mother." She tilted her head. "No wait, you told me never to call you that. How have you been, madam?"

Martha shook with anger as she looked at Ariel.

So all along, it had been her. Was all this an act of revenge? All this... Did she go so far just to have them kneel before them?

Ariel turned to her father, whose mouth was neatly gagged and her smile fell bitterly.

"Out of everyone here, there is no one I hate more than you." She said and advanced her steps to him. "Though you did not torture me even a quarter of what the rest did, I can not help but feel the most betrayal from you. You, who gave me life, handed me over to your family to be treated like that. Honestly, everything originates from you. If you hadn’t brought me to your home and just carried me to an orphanage since you didn’t really need me then..." Ariel pursed her lips, a lot of hatred whelming her from within.

That anger that could not be contained, found its way to her hands and she whipped him. Ariel whipped her father mercilessly while passing on the message that she felt a thousand, no, a million times more pain while she suffered in the hands of his family.

She could no longer whip him and ended up kicking him. But even that did not alleviate her troubles and she laughed.

Her laughter rang all over the place, sending shivers to everyone who heard it and then, as if controlled by a remote, she stopped. She glared down at her father’s pitiful sight and sighed.

"Take him back to the police." Ariel said. "As for the rest, take them to the back shed." Her lips curled up evilly. "There’s another show waiting for them there and it urgently needs their presence. After all, you three are the guests of the show."
