I Am An Illegitimate Child With A Legitimate Reason For Revenge-Chapter 59: Ariel cried, probably the last time.
As expected and as planned, the news spread across the internet and all news outlets. Also, news of the Albert family committing fraud by buying out information concerning the bid spread and the Albert’s family entered the police radar. This led to their properties being investigated and a series of embezzlement cases flooded out.
This marked the Albert’s family downfall and of course, their wealth being confiscated. The personnel who sold information concerning the bid from Raymond’s company was exposed to be Marco. Even in the video, he made mention of it and head on admitted to what he did. So there was no way he could escape it.
Clara, who had been deeply scarred by Marco’s violation that night, laughed like a madman as she watched the news.
She didn’t care about having her face spread all over the internet in such a bad way and having people talk bad about her. She didn’t care that her family’s fortune was gone and that she would be reduced to nothing. All she cared about was the fact that Marco was going to get what he deserved. She laughed.
Little did she know that that would be her last laugh and that her end was quite near.
Marco went into hiding. At least, that’s what the police thought. No one knew his whereabouts and there were no traces of him
As Ariel watched the video, the part where Marco and Clara confessed that they had screwed around behind her back and made her infertile, she couldn’t help but feel her fists tremble.
Her clenched fists trembled, exposing the quivering emotions she was feeling as she watched the video.
She didn’t want to tremble. She wanted to laugh heartily at her great performance and at the way Marco dragged Clara into the room to defile her mercilessly. She wanted to laugh, feeling victorious that her enemies were being taken down. But... She couldn’t just laugh it off.
Her hands trembled and her heart shook. That man, he was the man she loved for three whole years, devoting her entire life, body and soul. And he was the same man who did not forget to bruise her for even a single day.
And that woman, she was the sister...half sister, who did not think twice to give her hell as she lived in their mansion.
They had finally gotten what they deserved yet, she couldn’t stop trembling. They were still haunting her. The memory of their constant abuse flooded her head and she ducked, covering her head as if scared that reality would suddenly hit her hard on the head and magically change everything from what she was currently witnessing.
She was scared that she would suddenly open her eyes and find herself deep in the clutches of those mad people.
She was scared and her body trembled.
Then, she felt an arm wrap around her. It was Raymond. He was comforting her. His huge build enveloping her, once again reminded her of a cocoon. His body served as a cocoon, wrapped around her and protecting her from all seen and unseen forces from outside.
Still, in this cocoon, she couldn’t help but fear the dark. So she cried.
"It’s alright." Raymond said as she clutched on to his sleeves and cried. "They can’t hurt you. They can’t hurt you." He whispered softly and just let her cry it out.
This time, he wasn’t going to ask her to be brave and face it head on. He wasn’t going to ignore her pain either because at this point in time, watching her cry shattered him. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
As someone who passed through countless like she did, he knew exactly what she was going through. And though he did not have someone...anyone, to lend a hand and wrap him up, whispering words of comfort, he scaled through it. But that could not be said for Ariel. She was a girl. A young and sweet girl who did not deserve any of that, any day.
She was a girl with so many ugly scars and wounds that were threatening to open. And this girl, he wanted to make sure those wounds never reopened. He wanted to cover up all those ugly scars. He wanted her to be beautiful.
So what, if he didn’t have someone to rely on while he went through his ordeal, Ariel was a lucky girl having met him. He would be her sword. He would be her shoulder and he would be her strength.
White watched this and clenched his fists behind his back. He clicked his tongue as his brows furrowed at the sight. Where was his cruel and heartless master?
He didn’t like this change. Really, if it were up to him, he would make sure Ariel never existed in the face of the earth. Maybe then, his cruel and heartless master would return to how he once was.
After Ariel had calmed down, she came to her senses and panicked.
"Oh no, I got my snort all over your shirt." She said, waving her hands frantically, wondering what to do about it.
"It’s alright. I can just take the shirt off." He said but she still looked down. He sighed. "How do you feel after crying it all out?"
"I feel much better." She answered and suddenly hugged him.
Wondering what the hug was for, he couldn’t fight the urge to hug her back. But the moment he raised his hand, ready to wrap them around her, she let go.
"Thank you." She said and smiled. "I never would’ve gotten this far without you."
"No." Raymond shook his head. "I only gave you a little push. You used your own might and effort to shove." He said. "You did it on your own." His face beamed with a smile and Ariel couldn’t help but blush.
His rare smile was so pretty and heart warming that she couldn’t stop her face from heating up. To avoid being seen as weird, she quickly looked away but Raymond misinterpreted it and asked,
"What’s wrong? Do you feel like crying again?" She blushed harder but this time, it was from embarrassment and she shook her head.
"That’s not it." She said and peaked at him. He was such a fine man with just the right amount of perfection that could make a lady go gaga. "Anyway, is the other settled?" She asked, quickly changing the topic and Raymond checked his watch.
"They should be here any moment from now." He said and looked up. "The end of your sweet revenge plan is coming."
Ariel’s eyes brimmed with pure delight and her brown eyes nearly turned scarlet in anticipation for what was to come.
"Boss," White called out and they both turned to him. "They’re here."
"Good. Bring them in."
White bowed and left to carry out orders. Raymond turned to Ariel and took her hand.
"The stage was beautifully set and the show was great while it lasted." He said and kissed the back of her hand. "And now, the curtains are about to be drawn."
"Now, it is time for the characters to bow and get off." She said and at that moment, four individuals were brought in.
Their arms and legs were tied and their faces were covered with sack cloths.
As the sackcloths were taken off, one by one, Ariel beheld the people who made living on Earth feel like she was living in hot boiling lava.
"Hah." Her eyes scowled at them and she said, "Oh the irony of life. This is how we meet again, isn’t it?"
