I Am An Illegitimate Child With A Legitimate Reason For Revenge-Chapter 261: How they got kidnapped
"They’ve been kidnapped." Jane said.
Paige’s heart gently shook and she took a step back but luckily, Maxwell caught her.
"No, i-it can’t be." She muttered, fearing for her son. "He was there when I left him. How... are you sure of what you’re saying?"
Jane shook her head.
"The only way to know is to get there. Let’s go back."
They all headed out and headed straight for the mansion. Since Jane didn’t drive, she got in the car with Paige while Maxwell rode his bike.
How things came to be, no one expected it at all.
An hour ago, after Paige left the party, Romeo went to find Rachael but he was told she went with her mother to the restroom.
"Hah," he exclaimed. "I’m bored."
Then, a few kids approached and said,
"Hey, Romeo. Nice to see you again." Romeo raised his head, glanced at the kids with an uninterested gaze, and frowned.
"Why are you calling my name like we’re close?" He asked, giving them a cold gaze.
"Um, well... We just wanted to be friends and..." The kids were frightened.
Romeo could be considered as the youngest amongst them but he was so scary, glaring with such a cold and serious gaze. It was like he saw them as no less than bugs.
The cheerful boy they saw a moment ago talking to Stein’s little princess seemed to have disappeared and was replaced with an emotionless little brat.
One of the kids got fed up with his arrogance and blurted out,
"Hey, why are you acting like that? You’re still younger than us so you should obey..." The little boy swallowed his words as Romeo got down from his chair and shifted the table, causing it to creak annoyingly and irritatingly.
"You were saying?" Romeo asked but the boy refused to utter a word. "I may be small but count my assets and my lineage and compare it to yours," he waved his hand, "I am seven times seven bigger than you and the rest of your lineage combined."
"Y-you..." The offended kids could not utter a word as the words Romeo uttered were true.
Then, one of the waiters approached and broke the ice by saying,
"Young master, Miss Rachael would like to see you." As soon as he heard this, his cold gaze fell and he turned with a sunny smile on his cheeks.
"Really? Where is she? I’ve been waiting for ages."
The kids stared, dumbfounded, and wondered how such a little boy was able to look so scary, and at the same time, change his expression like it was nothing.
They would never really understand the thoughts of the extremely wealthy.
"Oh yeah," Romeo paused and turned his gaze to the kids, glaring at them. "If any one of you dares to belittle Rachael, I will tell my uncle and have your family on their knees."
With that, he left it to the water who was as stunned as the kids. How was this child who was barely five able to utter such cold and scary words?
Really, it’s not a good thing to put a child next to these crazy adults. But then again, the dark blood runs through their veins so there was no telling how they would act even if they did not have any influence from the adults.
Such is life.
Romeo followed the waiter upstairs and was being led to a farther part of the mansion. Romeo did not recognize that area because his room, as well as Rachael’s, was on the other side of the mansion.
So why was he taking him there? It was suspicious.
"Why is it taking so long to get to Rachael?" He asked, quietly reaching out to his wristwatch.
"Ah, you must be mistaking something, young master." The waiter said and stopped. "I said that Miss Rachael would like to see you, I never said I was taking you to her."
Romeo silently gritted his teeth. This guy... What was he planning?
"But don’t worry our dearest young master," the waiter turned to face him with a creepy smile. "I’ll make sure to bring the young miss to see you as soon as possible."
Romeo took off something from his watch and turned around, swallowed it, and tried to run but the waiter caught his leg, causing him to fall hard on his face and bruise his chin.
"Let’s not play cat and mouse today." He said and took off Romeo’s watch. "I know this is a tracking device. It’s better to be safe, don’t you think?" He threw it down and stepped on the watch, crushing it.
"You’ll never get away with this, you bastard." Romeo flared, angrily.
"Tsk, how is it that such a young boy has such a foul mouth?" He grabbed Romeo’s chin. "But this foul mouth could put us in trouble so it’s best to sleep."
"What are you...?" The waiter covered his nose with a drugged handkerchief. Romeo struggled but he could not get away or even get his face away from the handkerchief. He was just that weak.
"Don’t worry. Like I said, I’ll make sure to bring the little moss to you. You’ll both see each other before your demise, hehe."
As Romeo lost consciousness, he couldn’t help but pray for Rachael’s safety.
Meanwhile, Alexa, who was waiting for Rachael in her room, while Rachael used the toilet, called out,
"Rachael, honey. Don’t you think it’s time to come out?"
Strangely, there was no response and she suddenly got an anxious feeling. She navigated her wheelchair closer to the bathroom and opened the door.
"Rachael?" She called once more but there was still no response. Her heart began to thump as she got restless.
She entered the bathroom and found the bathtub curtain drawn. Slowly, she got close and was about to open the curtain only to get ambushed from behind, and gagged with a drugged handkerchief. It took only a few struggles for the drug to take effect and she lost consciousness.
"Wow, she’s so frail. She got knocked out within a minute." The masked guy who had drugged her commented in mocking delight. "No wonder she’s in a wheelchair."
"That’s enough." The curtain opened, revealing a masked man carrying an unconscious Rachael. "Let’s hurry up and get out of here before someone notices that something is wrong."
The masked guy who had gagged Alexa carried her out of the wheelchair and they made their way out of there, meeting up with their comrade who was in possession of Romeo. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚
"As instructed, take the children to the warehouse." Their leader instructed. They were about to move out when the one holding Romeo recognized Rachael’s watch.
"Hey, that’s a tracking device. Get it off." He said and they immediately got rid of the watch before going into separate vans.
While the children were being taken to one destination, Alexa was being taken to another destination.
In a situation like this, who would Raymond choose to save first?
