The last Vampire with the Hero summoner system: I get 5x their powers-Chapter 84: The Samurai is back
The jar glowed bright when very disgusting-looking Veil materials made contact with each other. Suge raised a hand over it.
"[Blender]" He said, before a bright red beam escaped from his palm, tearing through the materials as they began mix into a smoothie.
My mouth twitched with my eyes glowing in amazement. This wasn’t something you’d see everyday.
The content inside of the jar glowed bright white. After a few seconds, the light stopped, indicating the potion was ready.
At a closer look it revealed a greyish, like cement mixture, liquid. Even though Suge had blended it, it still had chunks of what looked like small pieces of spine bone floating.
"Geuhhh" I took deep breaths, trying to hold back the urge to puke everywhere as Alya rubbed my back.
Subaru swallowed at my reaction. Even though he wasn’t that disgusted at first, it made even him hesitant.
"It’s ready!" Suge declared, pushing Subaru closer to the table.
Subaru should’ve drank something like that close to a dozen times. Why was he making a face that barely held back tears? Wasn’t he a stoic, badass samurai?
Like a child forcing down medicine, Subaru drank it. His muscles shone like a lamp, the light spreading from his throat to his entire body in grey white light.
It grew piercingly bright, brightening a massive portion of the cosmic room. His eyes shone like 15 watt LED bulbs.
"Ahhh!!" He screamed at the top of his lungs. I and Alya couldn’t but close in worriedly but were stopped by Suge.
"His soul is being pulled to spiritual realm. It will evolve in the infinity void there. Part of the process don’t worry. He’s not exploding with blood like most."
A shiver ran through my spine. I was still recovering from the ’You might go braindead part’. I don’t know, my soul being pulled out of my physical body while I scream in pain didn’t... Sound much appealing.
Twenty minutes passed. After two minutes, Subaru’s body had fallen lifelessly in Suge’s arms and it stayed like this for what genuinely felt like hours.
I let out a deep sigh of relief when Subaru’s eyelids parted, revealing his usual black pupils now in a much darker and cooler shade.
"How do you feel?" Suge asked after a minute long pause, letting Subaru scan his surroundings and get comfortable.
"I feel like using [Petal Dance] to counter [Spine break] of Saint class." Subaru mumbled as he stood up from the disgraceful position—In Suge’s arms.
I chuckled, "Glad you are okay." As I patted his back. He smiled lightly in response.
"You can use Novice grade Samurai spells already?" Alya asked him dazedly, apparently buying what Subaru said to Suge at face value. Well, maybe Subaru actually could.
Subaru nodded, "It only took a few seconds. My muscle memory still has the spells etched in it."
"That’s amazing!" I said, my eyes fully wide.
Subaru shook his head, "Think of it like an expert mathematician who needed glasses to read getting his glasses. The "equations" were never an issue."
I rubbed my chin thoughtfully, "So you’re back to being overpowered?"
"Maybe I could beat Lucien in a one on one fight (Without regeneration in account)," He shrugged. Clearly he didn’t consider this overpowered. It hurt my feelings a bit.
Though it was still impressive, I should possess power of a high C class. He, the stats of newly awakened F class.
His muscle memory with the variety of spells he should know and combos he could make with his combination, instantly would bring him to high C class level combat capability wise.
But yeah, if regeneration was there, even if he completely knocked me out, which would be rather hard with his inferior stats, I could regenerate from it almost instantly. Than kick his now tired ass while I was as good as new.
Killing me was impossible for someone at that level but maybe if he cut all my limbs and removed my heart while stabbing my head repeatedly, my willpower would eventually diminish?
Getting in that position should be just as impossible as well.
All in all, I was happy our groups strength increased. He shouldn’t need me piggy backing him now at the very least.
...
Our bodies shivered under the chill of late afternoon. The sunny bright sky was now embraced by an orange hue, equally as mesmerizing with hundreds of birds flying in flocks all around.
We stopped infront of a two story building, made of stone, bricks, and black wood. Overall very luxurious.
Outside laid barrels filled with mysterious orange liquid, in which long swords were soaked in, only their silver hilts visible to the eye.
Even outside, tens of different sized bows, more than thirty ornated armors, from heavy to light, were hanging majestically.
"Are you absolutely sure you’re okay? Suge said it’s normal to not recover for a week." I said worriedly glancing at Subaru who was walking with his chest high and a calm face.
He didn’t look sick, or anything, and Suge predicted that, but how uneasy ones body gets after it according to him, it didn’t feel right to at least ask while Suge was busy conversing with the weapon shop owner.
"Don’t force yourself if you’re not up to it." Alya agreed with me, her voice expressionless.
"I am well." His reply was very flat, his eyes seeming really bored by the question.
Than, he unsheathed the pure white katana, leaving it’s golden and white ornated scabbard tied to his waist. Clearly one good fucking attempt at changing the topic.
"Did I ever tell two about the white goose?" The bored look in his eyes was slightly diminished as he spoke.
"There are rules against unsheathing weapons in public space..." I said first than repeatedly shook my head, "No, you didn’t! What does it do?" I asked with glowing eyes.
After learning about infinity sword, I couldn’t help but ogle at the white blade like it was a baddie in yoga pants.
"It looks... rather sharp." Alya tapped the edge of the katana with the tip of her finger, it was bleeding profusely the next minute.
"Obviously. It’s not an authority and is made of the rarest mineral, Mithril. The lightest and the sturdiest substance matter to ever exist. Besides that, it’s a normal katana." Subaru explained with clear intentions of... flexing.
Nothing like this can be bought in the rather fancy weapon shop and even touching it might make us debt slaves.
"Guess you won’t need any sword from here..." I muttered with a snort.
"Hm... You can use it if you want." He passed the blade to me without hesitation. Was I self projecting?!
I took the blade with widened eyes and grateful nod. Alya instantly jogged to my side, playing with the blade.
"To answer seriously, maybe a bow? I am very good with it. And very good spells in my arsenal revolving around bow."
After a pause, I nodded, "Of course, I was just kidding. Get everything you need. It’s on Suge, obviously."
Suge’s entire body twitched on the side, but he said nothing, busy in conversation with the shop owner. Apparently, they were childhood friends.
He clearly understood we just weren’t gonna pay no matter what. Either he did, or we stole the stuff.
Subaru nodded, and then took a notebook from an assistant at the weapon shop. Than, the three of us entered the shop, jolting down anything we need.
I felt no pity for the man. He was anything but broke. Stealing from the rich... Well, was it even stealing?
"Sixty gold pounds. And that’s as low as I can afford to go. The boon here is basically zero, Suge, you got to understand." The worried, grey haired dog man denied haggling before it could even begin.
Suge knew this discounted upon the price more than reasonable and was barely making a profit. He glared at us again, cursing us internally definietly.
I twirled in the mirror like a princess, my white shirt and black pants were covered by a thick, shinning silver armor. Weight wasn’t an issue so I bought the best available piece for defense.
Thick breast plate, extending to my shoulders and waist with arcane runes all over it. A silver helmet that looked exactly like a WWII helmet, but made with metal which wasn’t iron.
It was star metal. A metal coming directly from the stars, asteroids to be specific. Asteroids that crashed hundreds of years ago, buried deep in the sea. It was one of the hardest materials available at a "reasonable" price.
A commoner could probably live for decades with that much gold pounds so ten gold pounds for a armor wasn’t actually reasonable.
But someone who was over three million gold pounds annually and never lived an average life with other normal people, it was reasonable for me.
Only one sulking was Suge who passed all his gold pound notes with shaking hands.
