Chapter 162: Not a Chapter (spoiler alert)

Hola, author here.

Now, a lot of people wonder about Serena’s demise and yes, she will die horribly, know that.

She’s too cruel to be a human being (Yeah humans are cruel at times but she’s on a whole different level.)

I’m sick of Serena as well but she has to be in the picture for the novel to progress further. Sigh

Now, for the spoiler. After Serena finds out Raymond took Alexa away, she sends someone, a lady, to try to get close to Raymond and at the same time, try to make him get rid of Alexa before he finds out she’s Ariel.

How does she manage to get in the house, a staged accident. A truck almost hits Rachael(not truck-kun😅) and this strange lady comes in to save her. They both end up rolling and her head hits a block (All planned? Yeah, all planned.)

Luckily, Rachael is safe thanks to this lady but this lady loses her memories and ’mistakes’ Raymond as her husband.

Because she was the one who saved Rachael, he had no problem acting till she regained her memories but this girl is a real witch, trying to destroy their lives.

Anyway, thats the little bit of spoiler. If you want more, indicate in the comment section and I’ll arrange it for you.

The rest of this Chapter is a repeated Chapter so I hope you guys don’t mind. Sorry, if you do mind but I was feeling a bit down and couldn’t type the two Chapters out so I did this.

Serena returned to her own mansion, furiously kicked off whatever was in her path and broke the huge vase at the side while screaming in frustration.

"I don’t want to see anyone. Get out, you pieces of shit." She yelled at the maids and they left, terrified for whatever would befall them if they annoyed her even by a little. "God!" She shoved her fingers in her hair in a fit of rage and screamed. "That ungrateful bitch."

Henry opened the door to her room and walked in. Thankfully, he was in the mansion when she arrived and the maids ran to him for help.

It wasn’t like he could actually comfort a raging Serena but he could at least try to calm her down.

"After everything I did for her, she dared to do that to me." She grabbed the lamp and threw it at the wall. "Where did it go wrong? I just want to grab her neck and suck the life out of her. The life I gave to her. She’s so annoying."

Henry was silent as he watched this scene before him. So she was referring to Alexa after all. Alexa again!

Well, there was no one who could make Serena go mad like this and still be living.

Alexa. Alexa. Alexa. Why did she concern herself too much with that girl? That sort of obsession... that sort of twisted and unhealthy obsession... he wished it was directed at him instead.

"Lady Serena." He called and she turned to him.

"You." She pointed and he flinched, thinking she was about to blame him but then she added, "Do you know what that bitch did to me? She slapped me."

"What?"

"That bitch slapped me. She interrogated me like I was some criminal and called me dumb. She did all that and I felt so much like strangling her but I couldn’t." She clenched her fists. "This is all that brat’s fault. If I’d have killed her sooner... Alexa would never have fallen out of my grasp."

Henry was short on words. He didn’t think it would go this far but how dare she? How dare she slap his goddess? That was all his mind could grasp.

He hated Alexa even more now.

"Would you like to get rid of her?" He asked in a mutter but at the wrong time. Serena was talking about Rachael so when he asked that, she thought his words were directed at the little child but of course, his words were actually directed at Alexa.

Serena looked up and her lips curled up in a devious smirk.

"Yeah, it’s not too late." She said, surprising Henry. "If I get rid of that brat now, I can still restore my relationship with Alexa."

It was at this moment that Henry realized he made a mistake with his words.

"Knowing how smart she is, she must’ve already found the mini cameras but no matter." Serena said and bit her finger.

"Now what?" Henry asked.

"Someone has to take the fall." She said and looked up.

What she hated the most was when things did not go her way. She hated having to clear up a mess made by her own negligent mistake.

"Please calm down." Henry said and held her hand. He led her to the bed and sat her down. "You’ll get wrinkles if you frown too much."

"I’m just so annoyed."

"Relax your nerves. Everything will go well. You have me, don’t you? I will do all your dirty work and make sure you don’t feel stressed. I promise you that."

"You always talk big." Serena said and closed her eyes. "Yet you couldn’t even keep Raymond from reaching this part of the world."

"That was negligence on my part." Henry said and started massaging her shoulders. "Who would’ve thought Raymond Stein would travel across the world just to go see a therapist?"

Serena paused and looked up in surprise.

"What did you just say?"

"It was negligence on my part." he repeated.

"No, not that." She grabbed his hand. "You said Raymond came to see Alexa for therapy?"

"Yes. That’s what we found out."

"How... How did that happen?" She asked and flung his hand away.

"It seems her reputation is more spread than you thought." He said while rubbing the back of his palm.

Serena gritted her teeth. She assumed they had only met casually by chance and got to know each other. But he came to her for therapy? She was helping him with his problems?

Alexa was very good at her job. If she helped him then the plan to make Raymond suffer mentally for the rest of his life would definitely fail.

"No, this can’t happen." She grumbled. "Why is nothing going my way these days? Argh!" She grabbed her head. She was really mad.

A perfectionist like Serena who took time crafting plans that would never fail and would yield good results, found herself gritting her teeth at the result she had gotten.

Alexa was made too perfectly to the extent where she could finally see holes in Serena’s mask. And then, there was the thing called fate.

Fate brought those two together and that was a fact.

"Raymond Stein won’t be coming to Germany for the time being." Henry said and Serena looked up.

He looked down at the disoriented image of the lady he so much adored and worshiped. The one who made her look so stressed... he wanted to kill them.

"I got his schedule from his secretary." He added and put his hands in his pocket. "Unless he suddenly cancels one of his appointments, he will not step foot into this country so we can be rest assured."

"I still can’t be assured." Serena said and stood up. "Anything can happen. Raymond might get in contact with Alexa again and he will eventually find out who she really is as well as the fact that Rachael is his child." She clenched her fists. "I won’t let that happen."

"Let me keep an eye on them for you." Henry suggested while holding on to her hand. She looked back at him. "If it looks like he’s about to find out, I will take that child away. Please, let me do this."

Serena silently looked at him and suddenly took her hand out of his grasp.

"Henry," she held his face and gently caressed him. "You said you would do anything for me."

"Yes, I will." He answered and held her hand.

"Good. Now go back and watch Raymond carefully. Tell me everything he does and if need arises, mess up his company to keep him occupied."

Henry made a brief pause before closing his eyes and accepting his fate.

"Yes, lady."

After that eventful day, Alexa felt extremely cautious of her surroundings.

She was not satisfied just knowing that she had taken out all the mini cameras and wanted to be more careful.

She knew Serena was hiding something from her but to be able to know what that was, she had to jolt her memories back. She had to remember.

That was the tricky part.

She took Rachael to storm the principal’s office and complain about the bullying, as well as charge the parents for teaching their kids such foul words and inflicting mental damage on her child.

The parents complained and kept saying the children were the ones who knew what they were up to. It had nothing to do with them.

But then Alexa refuted with a saying,

"You can always find the owner of the fallen feather through its color."

"What nonsense are you babbling about now?" One of the mothers asked and Alexa turned to face her.

"You have issues bringing up your child in the right way and that’s your problem but if you still refuse to compensate me and my child for the mental damage then I will take this issue to child support and then I’d like to hear you say the children were the ones who knew what they were doing in front of them." She boldly said, leaving the parents speechless. "Let’s see what you’d do afterwards."

Rachael cheered her mother from within and at the end of the day, they were compensated fairly and Alexa removed Rachael from that school.

No use staying in a place with no happy memories.

"Baby, would you like to be homeschooled?" Alexa asked and Rachael looked away from the window. She opened her mouth to answer but then reasoned a lot of things.

"Will you be the one teaching me?" She asked.

"Well, no."

"Then I don’t want to." She answered, shaking her head.

"Is there a reason why?" Alexa asked her.

"Well, if you were going to be the one teaching me then I would’ve liked it but it’s going to be done by a stranger. I already miss you a lot when you leave me alone with that babysitter so just thinking about how I’ll have to spend all my time at home with another stranger with you not being around... I feel sad."

Alexa looked at Rachael through the rearview mirror.

"You don’t want to be homeschooled because you’ll miss me too much?" She asked and Rachael nodded. "So you’d prefer to go to a regular nursery school? Is that it?"

"Yes." She answered. "I’ll feel less bored and if no one knows me, they won’t trouble me too."

"Alright." Alexa nodded. "Then when I’m free, we’ll look at some schools together, alright? Right now, mummy needs to sort out a lot of things."

"It’s alright mummy. I understand." She smiled.
