I Am An Illegitimate Child With A Legitimate Reason For Revenge-Chapter 109: I’ll do my best
Things were starting to look good for Raymond and Ariel. Her insecurities were slowly fading since they pretty much had intercourse on a daily basis. He told her the words ’I love you’ quite frequently too. More frequent than in the past.
His genuine feelings reached her heart and she knew he was sincere. Slowly, her heart opened up and she decided she could love him. No, rephrase that. She decided she would love him. Even if it turned out to be a mistake later, she would know that yes, Raymond Stein used to love her with all his heart, body and soul and it was blissful.h
This little bit of happiness would keep her heart warm even if all she could remember of the world was cold and evil.
Christmas Eve.
That day happened to be a bit tight for Raymond. There was a gathering in the Stein’s manor and he couldn’t ignore it. With gritted teeth, he wondered if he could go around this situation but there wasn’t. He would only put his position at risk if he missed this event.
"That’s okay." Ariel said to Raymond after hearing the entire thing. "This is just one Christmas. We can spend it together next year." She smiled.
Her smile was sincere but he knew deep down that she was disappointed. She just couldn’t bring herself to show it to him.
He didn’t like it.
"Ariel." Raymond called and she raised her head. "Do you want to come with me?" He asked and she stared blankly.
If she could go with him? She hadn’t thought about it. But if she went with him, didn’t that mean she would have to meet the twins?
A side of her wanted to see them and sneer at their failure while another side of her was scared. Seeing them again, she didn’t know if she would crumble and completely humiliate Raymond.
And what if they took her again? What would happen to her then?
Raymond held her hand and squeezed lightly.
"I guess I was getting ahead of myself. That was probably too much for you. Sorry for bringing it up." He said, kissed her forehead and smiled. "I’ll find a way. This is not just any Christmas, it’s our first Christmas together and I want it to be Special."
Ariel heard this and nodded.
"Come, let’s go." He helped her tie her shoelaces and held her hand out.
For a while now, Ariel had been taking shooting practice. Raymond saw it as necessary in case she was in a dangerous situation and she needed to escape such a situation. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
Shooting her enemy down would be the best choice.
"Bang." The sound of Ariel’s gun hitting the target rang in the shooting house and she jumped up in excitement.
"Yah, my first bullseye." She rejoiced and hit the butt of her gun on the back of her palm.
For some reason, she seemed to believe that the gun needed to be patted for its good work. Raymond chuckled and stroked her hair.
"That’s a reason to celebrate. If you get it one more time, I’ll take you out to dinner."
"What’s that? We go out for dinner almost every day. That’s not celebrating."
"It is, depending on the place we’re going to go to." He said and smirked. "Have you ever had dinner at the Eiffel tower before?" He asked her and she tilted her head.
Then, she realized what he was trying to say and her face beamed in excitement.
"I’ll do my best." She put on her headphones and tried getting the bull’s-eye once more. After three failed attempts and a near miss, she finally got it.
With excitement, she pushed back her head phones while staring at the smoking point of the target.
"See that? I got it." She said and turned her head only for her lips to meet his. He kissed her sweetly and she kissed back. But she knew this was not a place they could do that so she broke the kiss and looked away.
"Not here. Let’s do that at home." She said with a little flushed face and he laughed.
"Of course."
They made their way back to the house and as soon as they walked in through Raymond’s room door, Raymond pinned her to the wall and attacked her lips.
It seemed like he had been waiting all day to be able to rip her out of her combat outfit. Everytime she wore it, she looked so hot in it and he just wanted to undress her but he refrained himself till they got home.
After that sexual activity, Ariel’s stomach grumbled.
"That’s right. We haven’t eaten dinner yet." She said and looked up at him. "You said you were going to take me to see the Eiffel tower?"
Raymond smiled at her and planted his lips on hers softly and slowly.
"Let’s take a bath and then I’ll surprise you." He said, his smile melting her heart and making her feel special.
His warm and affectionate eyes on her made her feel like one in a million and she loved this feeling. She loved the way he loved her. She wanted to be with him much longer. Maybe she could finally say it. She could finally tell him the words and they could officially be together.
"Alright." She said and got down from the bed.
Raymond traced his hands over Ariel’s back. Those scars, they weren’t going to fade no matter what he did this time. Laser treatment was only a temporary thing so she would have to live the rest of her life with these scars.
He dropped his head on her shoulder and she touched his head.
"You know, I read somewhere that our scars are our trophies." She said and Raymond lifted his head. She turned to face him and smiled. "It feels just right. These scars, though they remind me of awful things, they also remind me that I conquered those awful things and came out on top. I’m a winner, Ray."
Her curled lips, warm smile filled with that innocence that didn’t seem like it was going anywhere any time soon, made him feel even more guilty and at the same time, relieved.
His eyes teared up and Ariel held his face, brushed them aside with her thumbs and kissed his cheeks.
"Such a cry baby." She smiled and hugged his face. "I’m okay, okay? I have you now. Nothing can tear us apart now."
