Chapter 1466: Chapter 1041: Nothing Can Be Ignored (Part 2)

The Proxy Agent skilled in perception shared the information they had acquired.

With the new intelligence, the next steps taken by the Proxy Agents revolved around this point to take action.

Even if some Proxy Agents weren’t quite adapted, as the battle progressed, they managed to keep up with the pace.

Even if a highly concentrated attack couldn’t be unleashed, other methods could affect these Scarlet Shadows.

For example, using restrictive methods. Though these methods would be shared out evenly, too much influence at the same instant would disrupt the efficiency of the Scarlet Shadows’ distribution.

The Scarlet Shadows became easier to deal with, yet the Proxy Agent skilled in perception was not overly pleased.

In his perception, the overlap of Scarlet Shadows was diminishing. This decrease wasn’t due to their attacks but because the Scarlet Shadows were stabilizing along with the environment.

"Just how many Scarlet Shadows are there?" Watching the Scarlet Shadows reappear, the Proxy Agents felt quite overwhelmed.

These Scarlet Shadows were incredibly powerful in this world; in other worlds, they were potent enough to eradicate planetary life on an individual basis.

Yet, here they swarmed like locusts—solve one wave, and another appeared immediately. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚

"Let’s not worry about how many of us Proxy Agents are here. We don’t have time for this; move quickly!"

Another Proxy Agent hurriedly shouted, swiftly withdrawing from the battle zone. More than twenty Scarlet Shadows were too many for their small team to handle ordinarily.

The best course was to find other Proxy Agents to collaborate with, and also to integrate the injured, as some Proxy Agents had been hammered by these Scarlet Shadows.

Back then, the Scarlet Shadows weren’t at full strength yet, allowing those Proxy Agents to withstand, without being killed outright.

But now that the Scarlet Shadows had ramped up in strength, those Proxy Agents might be in trouble.

This part of the Proxy Agents couldn’t be abandoned; with the communication platform, they quickly found the Proxy Agents who had been hit before.

As for the remaining Scarlet Shadows, they were intercepted by other Proxy Agents. One of those agents specialized in setting up formations, and the formation had a transfer effect.

It could largely nullify the Scarlet Shadows’ attacks, and the formation also had an illusionary effect, which was a newly discovered weakness.

Although the Scarlet Shadows had immense resistance, they couldn’t ignore the effects of an Illusion Array.

An effective Illusion Array could thoroughly entrap these Scarlet Shadows, but it couldn’t annihilate them. Furthermore, the Illusion Array had a capacity, and the sheer number of Scarlet Shadows could overwhelm it.

That Proxy Agent astoundingly held off hundreds of Scarlet Shadows, but was nearing their limit.

"Haven’t you recovered yet?" Upon finding the injured Proxy Agents, the arriving team took a sharp breath—this group looked quite beaten.

Their injuries seemed to be affected by something, preventing normal recovery.

"Phew, we’d like to recover quickly too, but it’s not happening. Be extra careful in battle." said a Proxy Agent, rather helplessly.

He pointed at his arm, which bore a tear, revealing a fractured bone.

A power of recovery was attempting to heal the wound, but once it healed, it would soon reopen.

"We’ve tried various methods to resolve this, but unfortunately, failed." Another Proxy Agent conducting treatment sighed, "If you had arrived earlier, you would have seen what caused our injuries."

"You can explain now, too."

"Be wary of the eyes." The treatment-administering Proxy Agent said seriously, "After you arrived, you helped share much of the pressure. We also adapted to the rhythm of the Scarlet Shadows’ assault, but some of them had growing eyes."

The Scarlet Shadows were humanoid, with normal human features like eyes, but in battle, their bodies suddenly opened eyes.

An eye opened vertically from the chest, and upon being illuminated by it, they ended up like this. Their wounds seemed locked in place, and beyond that, they themselves appeared segmented.

Subjectively, they didn’t feel any issue, but their physical state was locked. Had other Proxy Agents not arrived, if that eye had opened just a moment later, things would have been worse.

Think about it: if they were heavily injured and then illuminated by such an eye, their bodies would be locked in a state of serious injury; how could they continue to fight?

Just that their allies arrived, yet the enemy used this tactic, rendering them unable to fight properly. Up till now, over thirty Proxy Agents had been affected.

This amounted to nearly a third of their overall strength being weakened.

A group of half-disabled Proxy Agents had too high a probability of being taken down by those Scarlet Shadows.

When Zheng Yichen found Lü Kong, what he saw was a blinded Proxy Agent.

"What happened to you?"

"I was targeted," Lü Kong said helplessly. The enemy knew about his ability and directly deployed numerous Scarlet Shadows against him.

Although he had teammates covering for him, he still ended up blind, and not only that, his perception was severely impaired.

"Then you should head back to Dusk first," Zheng Yichen pondered and suggested. A half-disabled Proxy Agent couldn’t contribute significantly to the upcoming battle.

"That’s our only option for now," Lü Kong sighed. With his eyes blinded and perception affected, recovery was urgent before he could fight normally.

Not to mention aiding Zheng Yichen in locating the enemy’s base.

The injured Proxy Agents returned to the Dusk through transboundary tools. Another communication took place twenty minutes later, as there was now a delay in the transboundary process, exceeding twenty minutes.

Counting the treatment time at Dusk, they estimated a return in about half an hour.

During this period, the integration space became further stabilized.

Zheng Yichen perceived that the spiritual states from the Scarlet Shadows had diminished to the thousands.

Between over a thousand to three thousand. The number of overlaps decreased, yet their demonstrated strength was higher.

The cumulative enhancement of integration increased their attack strength slightly, but their defensive weaknesses had markedly been reduced.

Previously, Zheng Yichen could eliminate Scarlet Shadows relatively effortlessly without using Oblivion. Now, solving Scarlet Shadows in that state posed considerable pressure.

Of course, with Oblivion, the result was the same as before, but the pressure on other Proxy Agents increased.

"We can’t continue like this, or eventually, we’ll be worn down here."

A Proxy Agent looked seriously into the distance. He didn’t possess spatial abilities but had unique insight. The changes within this integrated space were becoming increasingly apparent.

The stability of the space rendered the suppression they felt stronger, and the enemy’s expressed quality was rapidly increasing.

Scarlet Shadows could be viewed as special Unifiers, so the natives here were the regular perfect Unifiers. Besides lacking transboundary abilities, their other characteristics were similar to the Scarlet Shadows.

Although individually they weren’t as strong as Scarlet Shadows, they didn’t showcase much power overall.

Among the Proxy Agents here, casually bringing one out could eliminate tens of thousands or more ordinary people.

So ordinary people maintaining a state similar to the Scarlet Shadows boded well for the future, yet for now, there was still much effort required.

Even so, a large number could still pose a significant threat.

In the distance, numerous fully armed natives were charging towards them.

Although their weapons and gear seemed ordinary, like firearms and such, none dared to ignore them...

These firearms were also integrated, a common gun capable of killing a True God.

It’s safe to say that in this world, as long as you were a hostile entity towards them, you would be blessed with Unification. Even an ordinary garment could have incredible defensive power under such a blessing.

As for weapons, under the blessing of Unification, even a brick could become unbreakable by a god!
