I Am Also An Extraordinary Creature-Chapter 1465 - 1041: Nothing Can Be Ignored
"What’s going on with these things?" A severely injured Proxy Agent was full of frustration. After encountering the Scarlet Shadows, they all felt something was off and fought somewhat conservatively at first.
But once the real battle started, they realized that their initial evaluation was either an overestimation or an underestimation. The combat power displayed by these monsters was just outrageous.
They were more formidable than any monsters previously encountered, and these Scarlet Shadows demonstrated an extremely formidable combat awareness.
They are human-form monsters whose defense skills are extremely strong due to the overlapping of parallel entities and bizarre attack patterns, leaving even their strongest defender heavily injured in a direct encounter.
One can imagine, if it weren’t the most defensively powerful Proxy Agent who probed them initially, but another Proxy Agent taking action, they might have been killed in a single blow.
"New intel has arrived. These Scarlet Shadows are perfect Unifiers. Their attacks aren’t synchronously layered but directly integrated. Currently, their demonstrated weakness is in defense," a Proxy Agent immediately shared the latest intel from their communication platform.
"Damn it, I can’t see how fragile their defense actually is!" A Proxy Agent formed a Light Blade in his hand, clashing head-on with the Scarlet Shadows.
The Light Blade barely penetrated the outer surface of the Scarlet Shadow’s body, struggling to press further.
"At least compared to their coordinated and unified attacks, they still disperse the damage among parallel bodies in terms of defense!" The Proxy Agent relaying the intelligence was also somewhat helpless.
Their weakness is relative; after their offensive aspect is unified, no one on site can withstand their attacks head-on.
The injured Proxy Agent could almost resist monster attacks without injury before. If not for this world’s distorted rules, it would have been entirely unharmed.
Now, however, they’ve been injured in a single encounter.
"Damn this dispersion..." The attacking Proxy Agent swung his Light Blade rapidly, but no matter how they attacked, it was like a mere scratch, never breaking through the Scarlet Shadow’s surface.
"Think of something fast, or else we’ll be dragged to death here!" Though they managed to dodge the Scarlet Shadows’ attacks with agile movements, the efficiency of the Scarlet Shadows’ attacks was increasing.
Despite facing a single opponent, it felt like being assaulted by hundreds, with the pressure growing as time went on.
Boom—
A Scarlet Shadow charged headlong into another Proxy Agent’s energy wave, shattering it with a blank expression and grabbing that Proxy Agent.
The captured Proxy Agent self-destructed on the spot. After the shattered energy reassembled, he appeared behind the Scarlet Shadow, pressing a tiny light point into the back of the Scarlet Shadow.
The pinpoint-sized light point struggled to penetrate into the Scarlet Shadow’s body.
In the instant the Scarlet Shadow turned around, the Proxy Agent’s figure flickered and dispersed, vanishing beside the Scarlet Shadow, whose body uncontrollably swelled.
The resulting explosion formed a blazing sun, the shockwave impacting other Proxy Agents engaged in battle.
"Be careful!!" The affected Proxy Agents wanted to curse while also looking with anticipation at the site of the explosion.
After the sun-like explosion completely disappeared, a seemingly uninjured Scarlet Shadow was revealed.
"..." The attacking Proxy Agent’s eyes flashed with a trace of gloom. Even that didn’t work?
"Can you use that attack again?" A Proxy Agent beside him immediately asked.
"Easygoing!"
"Good, then one more time should finish it. Its shadow doubles have lessened. I’ll cover you!" said another Proxy Agent swiftly approaching the Scarlet Shadow.
He was a Proxy Agent adept in close combat, but with extraordinarily strong perception, allowing him near absolute advantage in melee. His exceptional perception even enabled him to counter energy attacks, bouncing them back.
In facing the Scarlet Shadows, he felt almost no pressure. While the Scarlet Shadows were fast, compared to their attack and defense, their speed was relatively average.
The problem was the enemy’s defense was too high. Fighting them was akin to a futile massage; damage incurred on weak points got distributed tens of thousands of times amongst parallel bodies, rendering them non-weak points.
"Alright!"
The two Proxy Agents immediately coordinated, pressing a new point of light into the Scarlet Shadow’s chest, sparking a new explosion. This time, having learned from previous experience,
other Proxy Agents anticipated and evaded before the blast struck.
After the explosion faded, an extremely dim Scarlet Shadow appeared before them.
Its color was deepening, but the Proxy Agent with a knack for perceiving close combat gave it no chance, eradicating the Scarlet Shadow with his weapon.
The struggling Scarlet Shadow froze on the spot, dissipating entirely into thin air.
"That was tough." Once they confirmed the Scarlet Shadow was completely dealt with, the Proxy Agents present sighed in relief, at least confirming the Scarlet Shadows weren’t undefeatable.
While hard to kill, if one specialized their attack, there were ways to deal with them.
"Make the attacks undivisible, and they can only be transferred. As long as the attack intensity is high enough, their overlap count can be reduced."
Creating undivisible attacks wasn’t difficult for them; the simplest way was to concentrate their attacks to extreme degrees.
Overly concentrated attacks might reduce overall damage but would enhance focused damage. Even with dispersion, uneven damage distribution could occur.
