His Witch Queen-Chapter 115: Culprit!
Saying whatever he wanted to say, Prince Dimitri had left the chamber.
But on the other hand, everyone was filled with deadly shocks. With their eyes wide, they all knew that Prince had taunted the general inventive way. Moreover, General Ryan, who had earlier kept his eyes lower and not interested in meeting with anyone else, had actually lifted them and passed the prince a glaze.
It was unable to avoid the same fixed glance that had been there for a few moments until Dimitri decided to leave the chamber.
Princess Alice’s eyes flew to see Cyrus, who had also given her the same understanding of filled gaze. But to avoid the tension, it was Lady Ashley who had taken the line to avoid this.
"I think Dimitri is just...out of his mind for now. He is really sad because of his mother."
"Doesn’t seem like that to me. He has been like this for the past few years, Lady Ashley." Cyrus had burst the bubble with which she used to cover up for Dimitri.
There was no option for her to cover up his mistakes which he was openly omitting. Abusing his mother to the extent of degrading his mother. What had she ever done to him so big that he bored such hatred towards her? Alice was deeply wondering about the same.
However, not raising her voice to this opinion, her eyes flew behind her to find the jewelry piece which was at the table.
Her lips sealed into a straight line before she knew she had heard Cyrus’s voice. "Alice, I think we should go back.."
"Y-yeah." was all she muttered before she bid goodbye to Ashley..
Lady Ashley had decided to take care of the lady behind everyone’s back. Since she was deeply attached and the two ladies shared an amazing bond, no one actually revolted.
But accordingly, Alice had decided to come back with Cyrus, but her mind and soul were fixed somewhere else.
Finding her absent-minded on their way, Cyrus had taken the queue to ask her questions, "What are you worried about?"
"I..I just can’t understand. Why would someone poison lady Aura? She’s so sweet to everyone and..has already been a helping hand to others too." Alice’s worry was justified in everyone’s eyes too. "We have no idea about that. Fortunately, I hope the King will try to find this."
"I don’t have any expectations of him, Prince Cyrus." Alice had truly laid down what she actually felt.
Neither did Cyrus objectify her statement since he knew perfectly that Princess doesn’t have any liking towards their King.
Neither did he, despite him being his father. But Cyrus knew that she was trying to convey the other message in his eyes, "Whom do you think is the culprit behind this all?"
"How would I know?" Alice asked with her puffed shoulders. But in regards to this, Cyrus only smiled at her acting, "I do know you for now. You simply can’t tell me about the name, by beating around the bush. Why don’t you simply tell me right now?"
’He is really sharp..’ Alice’s thoughts clashed as her shields and the guards were invaded by him too easily for her to even realize.
How come he knew that she had something to say? But whosoever therefore might be, it was better to have the direct talk rather than having the rounds one.
"Let’s go back to the chamber. I will tell you there." was all she asked to which Cyrus agreed and they both have returned to their respective chambers.
There, Alice had closed the chamber’s door behind herself. As she turned around to face Cyrus, she walked towards him with serious turned expressions plastered on her face, "I know that you might not agree with me on this but I have the name and the name which I will take..is all because I have the evidence."
"You are most welcome to tell me. I will try to be as neutral to this as possible." Cyrus assured her.
In return, Alice had taken a deep breath to close her eyes and then reopen them. Facing him, she parted her lips, "I think it is Queen Elizabeth’s doing."
"Why will she try to harm Lady Aura?"
"I have no reason behind but the evidence about her doing," Alice told him.
Immediately, she brought her hand out from her shawl and there was a bangle in her hand. It was of gold and was carved with different designs.
But Alice was cautiously holding it, not with her own hand but with her scarf which she used. It was duly noted by Cyrus, whose eyes once traced the bangle and then her face, "This...is of Lady Aura."
"Correct. This is a Lady Aura and I bought it just now." Alice answered when she further continued, "When I was looking around, I saw this piece and.. . it was at the dresser."
"But that doesn’t prove anything Princess." Cyrus had only told her.
Even If the piece she carried was of use, it was all waste. A simple bangle? What and how can they know if it was supposed to do with the lady Aura’s poisoning incident of poisoning? It was making no sense to his ears but still, holding the same patience, he had still lived the chance for Alice to explain it further.
At the same time, Alice had passed him a stern nod before she accepted and further said about the things, "I know what you’re saying. But at that time, there were many ants around this bangle. It was unusual and when I walked closer, I saw that those ants were all...dead."
"I saw it with my own eyes that the ants came to taste something and..they are dying. Trust me, Prince Cyrus." Alice’s eyes were one with determination and it was hard to disobey her words too.
He doesn’t know if she knows what. Yet her words made his brows raise on their own to not find it nothing less than amusing, "So are you saying that...this bangle is the source which contains the poison in it?"
"Yes. And I do feel that. This is the source which had injected the poison into the lady’s body." Without delay, Alice kept the understanding out
Despite the thousands of things, he knew that if the ants were dying near this bangle, surely it is the one that had circulated the poison into the lady’s body.
But once again, from where did the poison come into this bangle?
As he could vividly remember, lady Aura has been wearing this for the past few years. It was sunshine since suddenly bangle acted as the source but it wasn’t deniable either.
At the same time, Alice blinked her eyes twice, to gain his confidence too, "This is the one..I feel.."
"But because of it, how can I know that it was the person behind everything?" Cyrus’s question was very much valid.
As Alice once again took a deep breath, she reconciled the past on the day when they had gone to the market and the distant memory started to arise again...

FLASHBACK
On the way to the back of the castle, Alice was currently looking out the window to see the grasses and other beauty. But on the other hand, it was Lady Aura, who had brought the topic out of nowhere, "Princess, don’t humans like to wear bangles and something on their hand and neck?"
"I haven’t seen you with anything, expect the jewels till now.’’ Lady Aura’s voice pulled Alice’s attention when she rotated her head to give her a small smile, "They do. The Princesses in my kingdom do wear. But I don’t like it personally since they are heavy." 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦
"Are they? I don’t think so because they aren’t heavy in my eyes either." At this point, AURA pointed out the bangle in her hand which she showed with a bright smile.
As the spark glued in that gaze she had shown, "These are very light weighted. And I heard that they came from any human land too."
At the same time, Alice’s eyes went straight to find the bangle looking stunning. There was no way to deny that it almost captured her heart and she wasn’t able to tear her eyes off that jewel either. "Hmm....this one is good. It has good shapes.."
"I got this as a present from someone in our castle.’’ Lady Aura honestly told were further moved her aged in another manner with the same constant happiness that lingered
Without reacting much, Alice had simply asked with the normal one,"Who is so grateful to give you these bangles? They look amazing."
’"It was a present given by Queen Elizabeth to me when I completed a few years of being in the Gazelle Kingdom, a few days ago before you came here."
