His soul-Chapter 436: Gina’s biggest fear

Massimo opened his eyes when the moon had replaced the sun, giving its bright light to the earth. The first thing Massimo did was to feel the remaining side of the bed looking for Gina’s body that usually lay there. Massimo’s whole body stiffened as he couldn’t find Gina by his side. Massimo panicked and immediately sat up and looked around trying to find Gina, Massimo was still afraid that Gina would do something reckless like this afternoon where she drove his own car on the streets of Almeria.

Massimo’s fear vanished when he saw Gina sitting on the sofa in a graceful position, her face looking fresh and beautiful because Gina applied pink lipstick on her luscious lips.

"Already up?" said Gina curtly, her cold attitude was the complete opposite of what happened this afternoon.

Massimo who was already leaning his body on the couch smiled warmly. "Really quality sleep, how long have we slept for?"

"It’s three in the morning," Gina answered lazily.

"Then?"

"That means you’ve slept more than twelve hours." Gina briefly explained how long Massimo had slept.

Massimo pursed his lips. "Hmm, it’s been quite a while, no wonder I’m so fresh right now."

Gina, who had been sitting with her arms folded across her chest, slowly lifted Massimo’s cell phone which she had been holding in the air for a long time. "Explain to me why these cops keep calling you? What actually happened to make you a fugitive like this?"

"Fugitive?" Massimo immediately raised an eyebrow.

"Yes, since ten o’clock earlier there have been ten incoming calls from the same number. Out of curiosity I then received one call and was very surprised when he said he was looking for you, who was on the run for running away from the investigation process, what’s wrong, Massimo? what are you hiding from me?" Gina stopped her question when she felt how tight her chest was right now. "Are you going to jail?"

Seeing Gina’s eyes, which were already teary, Massimo immediately jumped out of bed and ran towards Gina. Once in front of Gina, Massimo immediately knelt down and cupped Gina’s cheeks with both hands.

"Shhh don’t cry, I hate to see you cry baby. I can’t see you cry."

The fortress that Gina had built since ten o’clock finally collapsed because of Massimo’s words, Gina was annoyed that only a few words left Massimo’s lips now that her tears had flowed down her face.

"Baby..."

"Don’t baby me!" said Gina curtly between her tears.

Massimo smiled. "Don’t cry, honey. We can talk this over, I’ll tell you everything. Answer your curiosity."

Gina immediately wiped her tears quickly. "Does this have anything to do with the Red Devils?"

"I will tell you everything but before that you have to wipe your tears first, I don’t want to see you cry."

Gina quickly wiped her tears with her hands and kept the remaining tears from falling down her face again. Seeing how adorable Gina made Massimo smile, the man was really happy to see Gina now.

After Gina calmed down, Massimo then got up from the floor and joined Gina sitting on the sofa. Not long after that Massimo then recounted all the chaos that had occurred in Red Devil, including showing a photo of an unidentified corpse found lying on the bathroom floor with a knife stabbed in her left chest.

"Oh my God... this woman really died, Massimo? Oh my God she’s pregnant..."

Massimo took a deep breath. "This woman died not long after this knife stabbed her in the chest, my dear."

"Then what about the baby?"

"Died too."

"Jesus." Gina immediately covered her mouth with both hands quickly. "W-who killed her, Massimo? How cruel, she’s a pregnant woman Oh my God.."

Massimo stroked Gina’s long hair lovingly. "Bad people don’t care if it’s a woman or a child, my dear. If they had compassion they wouldn’t be criminals."

"Does this woman’s family already know?" asked Gina hoarsely.

"Still under investigation, babe."

Gina immediately raised her face to stare intently at Massimo. "Why is that?"

Gina’s very high curiosity can actually be guessed by Massimo and because of that Massimo is actually trying to keep the chaos in Red Devil from being heard by Gina who will definitely continue to find out the truth if she hears the news, as she is doing now.

"This woman was found without an identity, dear. On her cellphone there are only a few numbers that are no longer active, therefore the police are currently working hard trying to find out who this woman is."

"Oh my God, what a pity."

"Why pity a woman who tries to destroy her husband’s business, dear," said Massimo quickly.

"Eh?"

Massimo smiled amusedly, cursing his own stupidity for not telling Gina the essence of the problem that made him have to leave her alone at home. Actually Massimo might not have told Gina the essence of the problem, but with other considerations, Massimo finally told Gina the problem.

"My Lord..." Gina’s words were muffled after she covered her mouth again with her hand, the explanation she had just heard really shocked her. She had no idea that such a powerful Massimo del Cano was currently in trouble because of the actions of a handful of people who wanted to overthrow him. "Are you going to jail, Massimo?" asked Gina innocently.

"Making me end up in prison is the most impossible thing that person could do, my dear. I am Massimo del Cano," said Massimo arrogantly.

The emotional atmosphere that had been created instantly disappeared as soon as Massimo let out his arrogance, Gina who was previously wracked with worry and fear if Massimo went to prison now looks angry and annoyed. She regretted her worries for Massimo earlier.

Noticing Gina’s change in emotion, Massimo quickly grabbed Gina’s left hand and brought it to his lips before he kissed her gently. "Don’t worry honey, I won’t let you end up being a widow who..."

"MASSIMO!" Gina rebuked loudly, as hard as the movement of her hand that immediately pulled her from Massimo’s grip. Her eyes glazed over again. "Watch your words! Don’t go around saying you’re going to make me a widow, you think being a widow is a happy status? No, Massimo!" Gina’s tears streamed down her face, the jokes given by Massimo were really taken seriously by Gina.

"Honey..."

"I hate you, Massimo. You’re always like this, selfish and only think about yourself," Gina screamed loudly, the next second Gina immediately got up from the sofa and ran towards the door leaving Massimo still shocked by what Gina had just done to him.
