Chapter 437: Lovely Dinner

"Honey..."

"Don’t talk to me, I’m too lazy to talk to you!"

Massimo smiled. "It’s still early to start a debate, my dear. Especially if it’s done on the beach like this. We can get sick from the strong sea breeze."

"If you’re afraid of getting sick, just go into your own house, you’ve always been thinking about yourself too, haven’t you?"

"Sweetheart..."

"Don’t deny Massimo, you are that kind of person. The proof is that you mentioned my status as a widow, do you think I want to become a widow? even though at that time the status was clear. Then what about me if you..sob..I don’t want to be Massimo’s widow, don’t want to sob sob...’I don’t want you to die, Massimo.’ Gina spoke in her heart in the midst of her sobs that felt suffocating in her chest.

Massimo was silent for a few seconds because he was surprised to hear the unexpected words from Gina, Massimo knew that Gina was not currently playing with her words. The look in her eyes and her heavy breathing as she spoke showed how serious she was about what had just left her lips.

Without making a sound Massimo moved his hands, trying to take Gina into his arms. "Shhh...don’t cry, I’m not going anywhere, honey. I won’t die, you don’t have to be afraid. I’ll live a long life, we’ll both live a very long time until our children and grandchildren grow up to become adults."

"Is that true?"

"Of course, I’m a person who really takes care of my diet and has a healthy lifestyle. You’ve already proven yourself how powerful I am, haven’t you?"

Upon hearing the provocation, Gina immediately threw a punch at Massimo’s chest which was immediately greeted with triumphant laughter from Massimo, who was happy that he had managed to seduce Gina.

"I’m hungry, come with me to eat, okay?" Massimo whispered softly.

Gina looked up at Massimo. "I’m hungry too."

"Ok then let’s eat together, don’t be afraid of getting fat. I’d rather see you a little fuller, more comfortable to hold," Massimo teased again before finally inviting Gina into the house to make their very late dinner.

Arriving in the kitchen, Massimo picked up Gina and sat her down on the counter. Massimo forbade Gina to help him make food.

"Steak, spaghetti, sandwich, burrito or..."

"Just a quick sandwich, I want a lot of salmon and mozzarella cheese." Gina interrupted Massimo’s words and detailed the menu of the food she wanted to eat to Massimo without pause.

Massimo smiled broadly. "Easy, with my eyes closed I can make it."

"Massimo!"

"Haha..just kidding. Come on, baby. Don’t be too serious, sometimes we have to make peace with the situation and follow the existing path so we don’t fall into a black hole that the enemy has prepared, dear," said Massimo softly as he started to take out the material. - the ingredients needed to make sandwiches from the refrigerator.

Gina, who didn’t want to talk about life’s problems, chose to eat the grapes Massimo had just given her to fill her stomach. Knowing that Gina was in a bad mood, Massimo finally focused on his work. Making sandwiches like Gina wants, Massimo skillfully arranges selected fresh ingredients into two layers of bread that have been previously toasted for a while to get a more crispy texture.

In a short time, Gina’s sandwich was finally served on a plate complete with some complementary sauces. Gina, who was already hungry, grabbed a sandwich that had just been taken out of the microwave and began to eat it voraciously.

"There is something missing?" Massimo asked Gina quietly.

"No, this sandwich is perfect. I love it!" replied Gina with her mouth full of food.

Massimo smiled. "Thank goodness, eat it slowly, honey. There’s still three more pieces, I won’t take your share."

Gina, who was really hungry, ignored Massimo’s words and chose to continue eating voraciously, seeing that Gina who was already focused on her food, Massimo finally grabbed a sandwich and started eating it without speaking. Massimo smiled at Gina who seemed to really like his food.

In less than ten minutes, four of Massimo’s sandwiches were gone. Although at first Gina looked very hungry, but she still ate in portions. Gina was well aware that Massimo was just as hungry as she was, so she didn’t have the heart to take another slice of Massimo’s sandwich to fill her stomach.

"Hot tea is the perfect companion for closing dinner, honey," Massimo said softly as he handed Gina a cup of chamomile tea.

"Chamomile tea." Gina unconsciously mentioned the name of the tea that Daisy had made for her earlier this afternoon before going to bed.

Massimo nodded. "Yes, this is one of my favorite teas because it has many benefits that are good for the body."

"Since when do you like tea? Isn’t your life only alcohol, huh?" asked Gina sarcastically.

"Since I was depressed after you disappeared, Thomas advised me to consume this tea before going to bed for a whole month. As a result I feel much better even though I haven’t fully recovered from my slump at that time," Massimo replied quietly, telling a little of his difficult time when he had to part with Gina. "But that was then, now I’m fine especially after you came back to me. I feel like a reborn human being."

"Tsk being reborn, is there really such a thing? You watch too many fantasy movies, Massimo," Gina said with her lips twitching, holding back laughter at Massimo’s irrational remarks.

"You’re wrong, baby. My favorite movies aren’t fantasy films, my favorite films are blue films that..."

huff uhukk...uhukkk..

Gina choked on her tea because she heard Massimo’s words.

Luckily Massimo immediately acted quickly, he gently patted Gina’s back trying to help her.

"Looks like we should continue sleeping now, I don’t want to see you choking again just from drinking," Massimo said quietly.

"It’s all because of you, you’re the one who made me choke," said Gina curtly.

"My fault? What have I done? I don’t think I made a mistake," Massimo asked quietly, pretending not to understand where Gina was talking.

Gina rolled her eyes and glared at Massimo. "I don’t want to talk about it anymore, we’d better go to bed now because someone said earlier it was too early to start an argument and I agreed with him."

Massimo’s lips twitched with laughter. "Oh really? Who was the genius who told you that, honey?"

Gina, who had been too lazy to argue with Massimo, chose to place her teacup gracefully on the dining table and prepared to get up from her chair to return to the room before suddenly all the light sources in the house went out, everything was pitch black. Even the lights that usually illuminate the back garden which is connected to their private beach are also completely turned off.

"Ahhhh...."
