"Daddy! Didn’t Mom go to Auntie’s?"

Mu Yichen finally snapped out of it, turning to look at his daughter.
Unable to recall what he had just told his daughter, he instinctively reached out to touch her long hair: "Shall we get up?"
"Okay!"
Huanhuan nodded, still looking at her dad with some concern.
In this house, the one who can’t do without Qin Mu the most isn’t the two little ones, but the nearly 1.9-meter big guy.
It wasn’t until after nine that Qin Mu called him at the office that Mu Yichen felt at ease.
When Qin Mu opened her eyes, she turned on her phone, only to find several messages coming through—it was all love calls from her husband.
Mu Yichen frowned when he heard the phone ringing, but when he saw it was from his dear wife, he relaxed and leisurely answered: "Finally answer the phone?"
"Why did you make so many calls to me? Last night you wouldn’t hang up the video call, so my phone shut down on its own."
Qin Mu softly explained.
Mu Yichen realized why, but couldn’t help but pinch his brows: "Mrs. Mu, could you please be more serious about your husband? Didn’t you charge it after it shut down?"
"I did charge it, just forgot to turn it back on!"
Just as well though, otherwise I’d be woken up early—the first call was just after six.
Qin Mu sighed gently, while Mu Yichen remained silent for a few seconds, prompting her to quickly change her tune: "Alright, I’ll freshen up now and come back to accompany you without even having breakfast, OK?"
"Just woke up?"
Mu Yichen asked after hearing her voice.

Qin Mu was a bit embarrassed.
"Have some breakfast before you come. Come straight to my office, we’ll head home together in the evening!"
"At your command!"
Qin Mu agreed, fully complying with Mr. Mu’s instructions.
As she and Hangzi were about to go eat, Qin Mingzhu called: "Qin Mu, have you left?"
Qin Mu was walking towards the restaurant with Hangzi, and replied when she heard her sister: "Not yet! Planning to leave after eating!"
"Really? Huanyu and I have arrived at the hotel, we’ll come see you off."
Qin Mingzhu, a bit excited, arranged a spot with Qin Mu and went to find her.
"Is Miss Qin coming to see you off?"
Hangzi asked her.
"Yeah! Once an enemy, now a dear friend! It’s really a bit hard to get used to!"
Qin Mu chuckled softly, as they walked into the restaurant, feeling as if they had the place to themselves.
Hangzi instinctively stood behind her, as Qin Mu turned her head back: "Come sit!"
"It’s not appropriate!"
Hangzi smiled as he spoke to her.
Qin Mu thought of telling him not to be so formal, but decided otherwise after a moment of consideration.
Making friends shouldn’t be too casual. Sometimes, certain relationships are more suitable than just being friends.
Without Qin Mu insisting, Hangzi found himself more at ease. He truly wasn’t sure how to act around his boss’s wife, even if they could exchange a few words occasionally.
Before long, Wang Huanyu and Qin Mingzhu arrived from afar. Seeing Qin Mu made Qin Mingzhu happily let go of Wang Huanyu’s arm and stride towards her.
"I was worried you’d hurriedly leave early in the morning, glad you haven’t left yet."
"If you were really that worried, why call me so late?"
Qin Mu stated it as Qin Mingzhu sat down, a bit bluntly calling her out.
"Ah! I slept late, so naturally woke up late! And isn’t it you having such a late breakfast?"
As Qin Mingzhu was about to find a retort for Qin Mu, the waiter happened to arrive with Qin Mu’s breakfast.
Wang Huanyu, sitting nearby, watched the sisters bicker. As he sat opposite Qin Mu, raising his eyes, he noticed the man behind her. Hangzi instinctively glanced at him, then slightly nodded as a polite gesture.
Wang Huanyu looked back at Qin Mu. He knew the person behind her, but was surprised someone like him was invited by Mu Yichen to be Qin Mu’s bodyguard. This gave Wang Huanyu a new level of respect for Mu Yichen.
In his view, someone like Hangzi would never take orders from anyone, let alone take on an inconspicuous role as a bodyguard for a woman.
But the evidence was clear. Wang Huanyu speculated either Hangzi had decided to settle into a simpler life or he had some other feelings for the woman in front of him.
