Heroes' Prison-Chapter 1102 - 1044: Infiltrating the Basement
Soon, that group of Nagas completely disappeared over the horizon.
Huang Yi turned his head, his gaze locking onto a spire building on the east side of the castle. The laboratory that the Eye of Time saw was in the underground level of that spire building.
He immediately flapped the Wings of Freedom on his back, activating the active effect, and entered Absolute Invisibility. He leapt out of the window and flew straight towards that spire building.
Before long, he reached the roof of the building and landed on a balcony, crawling through a window to get inside.
This building, too, had suffered the erosion of time, its interior desolate, with cracks splitting the walls. A few resilient vines intertwined through these cracks, greeting the light outside.
Huang Yi went straight to a corner on the east side of the building hall, reaching out to press a brick in the bottom right corner. It was a mechanism; in the scene seen by the Eye of Time, that group of Nagas had pressed this brick, revealing an entrance leading to the basement.
Soon, the floor trembled slightly, and several floor tiles parted to the sides, revealing an entrance.
The entrance connected to a spiral staircase. From above looking down, the staircase wound around endlessly, shrouded in darkness at the bottom, as if leading into the depths of Hell.
Huang Yi slipped into the entrance, stepping downwards into the darkness.
The location of this basement was very secretive. Even most adventurers, having come to Blood Castle, would find it difficult to discover this mechanism. The group of Nagas must have arrived at Blood Castle not long ago, but they managed to find this underground laboratory, which must have taken a lot of effort.
Relying on his Dark Vision, Huang Yi continued downwards, and the staircase seemed endless. Even after walking for a long time, it was still unfathomably deep. The only sound remaining in the air was his solitary footsteps echoing repeatedly.
"Tap, tap, tap!" Suddenly, a series of hurried footsteps sounded from below the staircase, as if someone was coming up!
Feeling a chill in his heart, Huang Yi quickly used Absolute Invisibility, vanishing into the air.
Soon, a few figures emerged from below, all clad in Alchemist robes. However, their figures were semi-transparent, just like the maids seen earlier in the chapel—only mere remnants from history.
As these shadows ascended, they conversed, their voices hazy, echoing from the depths of the distant past—
"How many times have I said it! Do not use Realgar Stone when doing Alchemy and Potion Making; use other ingredients instead. Lord Bloodhoof hates Realgar Stone the most!" an older Alchemist scolded the other Alchemists.
The Alchemists quickly lowered their heads, repeatedly admitting their mistakes.
Soon, these residual shadows passed right through Huang Yi, heading upwards on the staircase, their voices becoming more and more faint, until finally disappearing altogether.
Huang Yi withdrew his gaze and continued his descent.
The Blood Castle was truly haunted, with historical shadows seemingly everywhere. Most people visiting the castle would think it was haunted and possibly lose the courage to explore further.
After a long descent, Huang Yi finally reached the bottom of this long staircase, arriving at the deepest part of the basement.
Using his Dark Vision, Huang Yi examined the surrounding scene.
This was a massive laboratory, crowded with various sophisticated apparatuses. It seemed abandoned for a long time, with many devices covered in dust, some even collapsed on the floor, reduced to scattered components, completely destroyed.
Following the route seen by the Eye of Time, Huang Yi headed straight for the eastern region of the laboratory. He moved past rows of apparatuses, proceeding invisibly in the darkness, as though becoming one with it.
Finally, he spotted an operating apparatus ahead, standing out conspicuously among the dusty equipment. On either side of this apparatus rested a vial—a Divine Crystal Vial and a Demon Bottle, just as seen by Huang Yi’s Eye of Time.
The mysterious liquid was contained within that Divine Crystal Vial!
But in the next moment, Huang Yi’s steps suddenly halted, his gaze locking onto a position beside the apparatus.
In that hidden dark corner, a hazy figure emerged—a Naga, with a humanoid upper body and a serpentine tail!
It appeared that the Nagas were being very cautious, not leaving the Blood Castle entirely but assigning someone to remain as a guard.
This further proved that the liquid within the Divine Crystal Vial was indeed precious; otherwise, they wouldn’t have assigned someone to monitor in real-time.
The presence of this Naga was far less formidable than that Redscale Naga, seemingly not exceeding the level of an Intermediate Celestial Realm Expert under level 250.
This level of enemy was easy for Huang Yi to handle. Nevertheless, he needed to act quickly, preferably striking before the opponent could respond. Otherwise, the enemy might use some special method to deliver news of Huang Yi’s intrusion in this basement, possibly even to Elder Hong Lin’s ears, which would spell significant trouble for Huang Yi.
After pondering for a brief moment, Huang Yi quickly devised a rough combat plan.
He then took out the Wrath of the Godslayer from his storage ring, flapped the Wings of Freedom, and charged towards the Naga while remaining invisible!
"The Spirit said let there be light, and there was light!" He chanted the Word Spirit Scripture while charging!
In this dark environment, Huang Yi’s Word Spirit Scripture transformed into a dazzling, intense flash!
Instantly, the entire basement was engulfed in brilliant light!
The Naga, originally accustomed to the darkness, was suddenly blinded by the intense flash, frozen in place.
At that moment, Huang Yi suddenly emerged behind him, the Wrath of the Godslayer slicing through the air in a swift gleam, slashing fiercely across his neck!
"Puff!" The sound of blade slicing through flesh was heard, and the Naga’s head soared away, colliding with an apparatus, bouncing to the ground, and rolling several times before stopping.
His expression remained frozen in that moment of daze, without reaction from the flash before being instakilled by Huang Yi.
Meanwhile, the Naga’s headless body collapsed weakly, blood gushing from the neck’s severed end, instantly soaking a large patch of ground.
Huang Yi exhaled deeply, sheathing the Wrath of the Godslayer, and approached the apparatus.
His gaze locked onto the Divine Crystal Vial, focusing on the small droplet of liquid within!
