Heretic Trainer: The Gym Is My Cultivation Method-Chapter 494: This Realm Makes No Sense
Garion finally lay back on his bed, one arm behind his head, staring at the ceiling for a moment. "...Finally. Some quiet."
He exhaled slowly. Then something crossed his mind. "...Did Sianor send it already?"
He reached to the side, picked up his grand phone, and checked it.
A new notification was already there. "...Right on time."
He opened it. It was a copy of a Fourth Realm cultivation manual.
Garion’s eyes widened slightly as he skimmed through it. "...Damn."
He read a few lines, then nodded to himself. "Not bad at all."
Without wasting time, he opened the chat and sent a message. "Thanks. I got the file."
A short pause. "Sorry for the late reply. I had something to deal with this past week."
To his surprise... A reply came almost immediately. "Don’t worry about it."
Garion stared at the screen for a second. "...That was fast."
He typed again. "No, I still owe you one."
Another short pause. "Come to Muscle God Island this Sunday."
Then he added, "Rachel and I are getting married."
On the other side, Sianor paused for a moment. "...You’re getting married this Sunday? What the hell? Didn’t we just finish a war?"
The reply came quickly after. "Isn’t that a bit rushed?"
Garion let out a short laugh as he read it. "Of course not."
He leaned back slightly, typing as he spoke under his breath. "That war was barely a warm-up."
He continued typing. "It didn’t matter. And Rachel wanted it to happen as soon as possible."
A moment later, Sianor replied again. "I see. Then congratulations, Garion."
There was a short pause before the next line appeared. "To think you managed to marry her... She’s quite beautiful."
Garion laughed and typed back. "Haha, thanks, Sianor. She’d be happy to hear that."
He paused for a second, then added another line. "By the way, can you call the others too?"
On the other side, Sianor raised a brow. "The others? You mean the other Grand factions?"
Garion nodded to himself as he replied. "Yeah. The Supreme Root Sect, the Night Pleasure Sect, and the Drakenfel Clan."
He continued. "They helped in the war, so of course I’m inviting them too."
He added one more line. "Let’s make the wedding more proper. A bit more festive."
Sianor read the message, then nodded slightly. "Alright. Don’t worry about it. I’ll inform them to attend."
Garion leaned back a little, satisfied. "Good. Thanks for that, Sianor. I’ll see you this Sunday."
Sianor replied shortly after. "Okay. See you then."
Then another line appeared. "Make sure to prepare enough food."
Garion smirked. "You got it."
---
Garion sat at his desk, staring at the copy of the Fourth Realm cultivation manual on his phone.
This time, he read it carefully, slowly, and seriously. He wasn’t skimming anymore. He was studying it.
After a while, he tapped his finger lightly against the table. "...Alright."
He leaned back slightly and started organizing his thoughts. "Let’s break this down from the beginning."
He looked back at the screen. "The first realm... Mana Refinement."
He spoke quietly to himself. "That’s where a person builds a mana pool and a mana vessel to store mana inside the body."
Then he continued. "The second realm... Mana Core. That’s where the mana pool is compressed and hardened into a core, resulting in a mana trait."
He tapped the table again. "Then the third realm... Domain Realm."
He glanced at the ceiling for a second. "That’s where they expand outward... using mana to affect the surroundings and turn it into their own domain."
He paused. Then his expression shifted. "...And then comes the problem."
His gaze returned to the screen. "The Fourth Realm. The so-called... Perfection Realm."
He let out a short laugh. "To think it’s not about improving the domain or the mana..."
His tone turned dry. "...but strengthening the body."
He leaned back further. "No wonder lower factions never reach it."
He shook his head. "Their entire understanding is off."
He looked at the manual again and sighed. "...But even this... This isn’t real body refinement."
He scrolled slightly, reviewing the method again. "To even begin, you need a perfect domain."
He muttered. "A thousand meters."
His fingers tapped lightly again. "Then you start consuming your own domain... bit by bit... Absorbing it into your body."
He paused. "The domain gets smaller. Eventually, it disappears."
He exhaled slowly. "And in return... the body gets stronger."
Another pause. "...Sounds good on paper."
Then he frowned slightly. "But that’s the problem."
He leaned forward a bit. "They call this body refinement... but the body is only getting the leftovers."
He tapped the table once. "To put it simply... The domain’s mana is first used to refine the mana vessel and the core. Only what remains is used for the body."
He shook his head. "That’s not body refinement. That’s mana refinement with a side effect."
He leaned back again. "...So even if they call it the Perfection Realm... It’s only perfect in terms of mana. Not the body."
He narrowed his eyes. "...Still... The body ends up strong enough to handle a fully developed core and vessel."
He crossed his arms. "Strong enough to survive extreme environments... even outer space or other worlds."
He let out a quiet breath. "...But it’s still a glass cannon."
Silence settled in the room.
Garion closed the file on his phone. Then he stared at the screen for a moment. "...So what about me?"
He leaned back in his chair, one hand resting on the desk, the other tapping lightly against the armrest. "My cultivation is different."
He spoke quietly, thinking it through step by step. "The God Physique Path is built around the body from the start."
He paused, choosing his words more carefully. "Even though our third realm is a domain, it’s not really a domain."
He straightened slightly. "It’s not an external field we expand."
He tapped his chest. "It’s internal strength leaking outward."
A small pause. "Our body becomes so strong that it naturally suppresses the surroundings."
He exhaled. "That’s why we can interfere with other domains so easily."
His fingers drummed slowly against the table. "But because of that..."
His eyes narrowed. "...The range is limited. About a hundred meters."
He leaned forward now, elbows on the desk. "If I follow their method..."
He glanced at the phone. "It won’t change anything... I need to think about it more carefully now."
